I downloaded the free demo for this when I was like 14. Once my bro was talking about driving and how you could make a car accelerate faster if u moved down a gear and I was like 'yeh i know' and he was like 'how, you don't even drive'. I knew because of this lotus game demo :). The free demo had one track and no 'recs'. I had a 486 SX25 which cost like 1000 pound back in the day. It had a 'dual' speed CD Rom drive.

20 years from then and it still has the best instant track creator of any racing game. Many sceneries and almost infinite number of possible layouts. It was so good, i didn't care if there are just three cars in the game.

The gas gauge was always nerve wrecking :)

Better than the Atari version, but the Amiga version is miles better than this, back in the days I used to imagine there were pc versions out there far superior to the Amiga versions I was playing.....how wrong I was!!!

The Atari has a better sound system than the PC, the Windows version dissapoints in more ways than one, the graphics might be smoother but the sound sucks ! And I think the Atari and Amiga cut it close in the sound department they both have there pros and cons.

I have an Atari st and all the games I've compared with the Amiga counterparts have sounded inferior, but not horribly inferior, if you'd never played the Amiga version it would not be noticeable. its a fine machine

i played this game with my sister in 2 players mode, it was a lot of fun.

a lot of tracks, 3 cars, very good game for that time.

I run it in a IBM 486 25Mhz with 2 MB of RAM (1994) lol, that was a good PC ^^

The pc version is defentatly an improvement but they took out the songs before the race tracks for example "Snow Course Theme" etc.
