I have a lot of music from all over Africa, and the intore dancing from Rwanda/Uganda areas is among my favorite dancing, the men's movements and head dresses are and always have been magificient, I wish I could some long videos of their dances and music.

  • @amethyst48 : This is our Ugandan culture that we are trying to preserve. Other african countries are currently doing it better...and more imput is needed from the nationalists in the republic!

  • To all of you.Thank you for the tribe information about them.I really love it.However I am still looking forward to have they contact(email or Po box of producer or band member.) I am still surprised that no one seems to know the names of the singers !! Hopefully.Such a great band should be more exposed to the world.I am proud to be african(Senufo tribe from northen Ivory coast)

  • Could someone identify the singers? Name and nationality? I will apreciate .Dothe band have a website ?

  • Nice & gd to go'

  • @singjar, thanks for the information about the language the singers use. I looked it up online and found that "Runyankore is part of an East & Central African language spoken by various ethnic groups in Southwestern Uganda,as well as by other people in Tanzania, the Congo, , Burundi and Rwanda". I'm guessing that "Munyankore" is the ethnic group name. Is that right?

  • @Azizip17 lol not really. In Uganda there are 40 different languages.

Runyankore is a language spoken in south-western uganda, by the Banyankole people. The languages in the south of uganda, are

mutually intelligible, from 80 to 20 %. I am from Rwanda,

neighbourcountry in the south. And I can understand around 40% of

Runyankole. An other southern ugandan language called Rukiga, I understand around 80% maybe more.

  • @singjar: a comment below from ellyakanga

is "great song. give me a munyankore...no one beats this kind of

music..." I'm respectfully asking what does "munyankore" mean?

    -an African American sista

  • @Azizip17 Munyankore is a person born in Ankore a tribe in western Uganda.

  • @Azizip17 .Munyankore is a person and Runyankore is a tribe from the Bantu and Hamite Ethnic groups

  • @singjar also is this song's rhythm traditional? It sounds a lot like reggae to me. Does anyone else think that? And is Enyabumba the title or the name of the singers? Would you or someone else please post in English what title means & what the song is about? Thanks!
