  • mine has always had trouble feeding ammo but i found what works from others, but itll still jam 2-3 time a 30 round clip any suggestion ,becausse it is getting tiresome firing 5 shots and haveing a jam

  • im 18. i notice it has a pistol grip. could i still legally buy one?

  • @suicune3000 Depends on your state. I live in TX and we can legally buy any legal firearm at 18.

  • can you put a suppressor on this gun?

  • Fuck colt bullshit

  • @mrmitro well first off its umarex not colt, second, colt makes some of the best guns in the world so there is that.

  • @gunsite308 It does two things. It tells you that there is no ammunition in the gun and more importantly your bolt doesn't have prolonged contact with the chamber which could result in rusting or slight cohesion of the metals.

  • @gunsite308 see my new vid shooting it. i have a playlist called real gun videos. and my latest two real gun vids i use this gun and do magazine exchanges etc. it performs awesomely and i never had one round jam ever.

  • i bought this gun and i have used it a few times and it is awesome. i will post my video from today using this gun. i love it. thanks and this vid helps a bunch for cleaning. peace from mt hood oregon

  • A bit more complex from cleaning a AK5

The pins stick to the rifle and there is no bolt buffer or bolt stop to take away.

you dont have to lock the bolt open (to lock the bolt you dont need a magazine).

Also you dont have to loosen the flash suppressor.

Is it just me or is the AK5 more safe and simple to handle?

  • the inside of this rifle is whacko.

  • Does the compensator fit on the m16 spr?

  • 17 mil eu acho 1

  • Cuanto Cuesta una de esas ??

  • never saw that kind of ammo before.. i'll have to try and see if i can find it. anyone use it?

  • you put the fake pins to make it look like an m4 but you have to unscrew the flash suppresor to take it down? fuck that....buy the s&w fuck a flash hider its 22lr

  • @mandypants02

i'm with you.... thats silly... i did buy the S/W..

  • i just made a epic video showing this rifle in a feild test. on my channel. i used 2 types of high grade ammo and it was awesome. it performed great. i even ran the super cheapo ammo. it never misfired. just epic. i used this video to clean my gun. i did exactly what this guy said and it was so easy and just like he said. i recommend this gun to anyone. also i sent video to you as well

  • HA I'M DANNY!

  • how much it cost?

  • @aabubashar $500 usd

  • @aabubashar my newest video on my page is me after i just bought this gun testing it in the forest on mt hood. check it out. peace. it fired great. i paid 469

  • Fuck ! So complicated . I like my AK47 , much much easier to clean !

  • hahaha, "three fake pins in the reciver to maintain the authentic look"!

why? its a gun, it works, you don't need fake pins! like the stupid ram-air scoops that all American cars have now days.

  • @Ahmed2011April yeah thats true.. see them on the todays"muscle cars"

  • Is the front sight detachable?

  • What scope is on the gun in the beginning?

  • I was thinking of getting one of these and i was just wondering..... is this rifle compatible with any ar-15 quad-rail system?

  • @BakaLord123 if you look hard enough you can find the quad-rail made just for this gun on cheaper than dirt's website. thats where i got mine and its only $80+/- about $100 cheaper than umarex's site.

  • I have been shooting high velocity ammo through my M4 Ops with the bolt speed set in the standard position. I went to adjust it for high velocity ammo and the bolt never seemed to come to a stop when screwing it clockwise. Is the bolt supposed to go down a good distance or is the number of turns from standard to high velocity minimal?

  • @DallasMavsfan41 I asked one of our gun service people and they said the following: "The bolt spring adjustment screw (hex head) should be set to flush as a starting point. From there turn this bolt spring adjustment screw 9 complete revolutions clockwise for optimum performance."

  • I'm from the south where gun rights are true rights and a part of freedom and could buy almost any rifle imaginable but I visit buffalo new York alot...are these legal in new York?

  • I just got this today for my B-Day

  • Llol I'm thinking of getting one of these so I can get some practice done before I join the (Canadian) millitary after I finish college.

  • I called Umarex and they told me as long as the Magpul items are Mil spec and not commercial spec they will fit. So I am in business.

  • Hello. I love my Colt 22 M16. Best 22 I have ever had. However I have a question. I like Magpul furniture and I would like to get a magpul hand rail, and flip up front and back sights for my M16 22lr weapon. This is 100% doable right?

  • joining marines and have option between an m4 or m16 what do you think is better on the field?

  • @Squeaky3384 GTFO wannabe.

  • I FOUND THE FASTEST FULL-AUTO .22LR MACHINE GUN IN THE WORLD! Take look at this wild thing on my YouTube video. I sell a DVD video that explains easy way to convert the RUGER 10/22 .22LR rifle into full-auto. The ladies love a man with a full-auto weapon. lol !!!! Call or e-mail me at GUN SLINGER VIDEOS, 425-293-5977. BilluvRights@aol.com

  • Does anyone know how to swap out the standard hand guard with the replacement RIS?

  • @markssite Yeah you take a pair of needle nose plyers and behind the hand guards there's a ring and you take the needle nose plyers and squeeze it and the hand guards should pop off

  • can you fire 22 blanks from the weapon?

  • @luke2840 .22 RF blanks will not feed from the magazine and as a result will not work action in semi auto.

  • can i carry it around while im on vacation for protection? from wyoming to texas?

  • @sweettooth80 You want to carry a .22 replica of a M4 for protection? O_O

  • Very good video. Ill be much more confident when I receive mine =D. All the things of note I've read from numerous forums were addressed in this vid, except the part about giving the mag an extra nudge on its bottom to ensure it's fully locked in.

  • @christang721 If you are referring to the exterior bolt catch on the left side of the gun, then no. This is a non-functional part.

  • It is a flash hider. silencer=illegal

  • @DCMichaelDWolf Silencers are legal in free states.

  • @DCMichaelDWolf Suppressors are not illegal you can buy them from the company but you need to fill out paperwork to own one..

  • can you use regular ar parts with it? like hand guards and stuff

  • @dumfart21 no. no part is changable with a real ar 15

  • Where could you buy a suppressor/Silencer at?

And What kind of silencer is that in the vid?

  • is a Silencer legal in caliornia?

  • @kingsxranch it's a faux suppressor so it really isnt for anything other than looks. but real suppressors aren't legal for civilians in any state i think

  • @Dellcron Real suppressors are legal for "civilians" in free states.

  • which should i get on your recomendation?

  • this isnt airsoft... how the hell did i get here?

  • @zacker2000 lmfao

  • fat

  • How the hell do you clean the bolt and spring. The field stripping is VERY limited. I would think after using it several times there would be tons of powder residue in and around the bolt. Has anyone here stripped it further than what's shown here?

  • @guerrillatactical I have but not by choice dont do it or the spring that assists the bolt stop for the last round lock back will fly out and its a bitch to put back in also the flash suppressor dont take it all the way off with the bolt locked back or the barrel can be pushed back into the reciever and the spring will come shooting out and you will have the same problem

  • God it's like an airsoft gun almost...

  • gun porn :D santa, me knows what i wan for christmas!!!

  • Search for Bulk Trade Regulation

    Giuen Outright Google Groups.

  • I just bought one today and I have questions, I open the receiver without unloosen the flash supressor. I turned the screw to adjust for High velocity, but after many turns it wasn't stop. Is that oK? After you adjust for high velocity round do you need to tight the flash supressor again?

  • @teng27 You only need to turn the adjustment screw in 9 revolutions from the flush setting and you will need to re tighten the muzzle break.

  • @UmarexArms Why does the muzzle break need to be messed with at all?

  • @teng27 make sure that shits tight, or ull b sorry man

  • @TSCO420 Thanks for advice but, what shits? the flash suppressure or the high velocity adjustment screw?

  • @TSCO420 the supressor , if that shit jiggles around after a few shots itll get destroyed after another shot. fukn hot bits a metal flying everywhere.

  • @teng27 Hello, I have problem with my M4 22lr. I pull the charging handle my rifle doesn't eject the round in the chamber. If I have a misfire round I have to insert empty magazine to lock the bolt then use thin knife to dig the misfire round out or if I decide not to fire after I load the gun, I either have to fire off the remain round in the chamber or use knife to dig it out. Is there anyways I can fix this problem?

  • yes u can get any long rifle without a license

  • do u think a 50 round magazine can be made for it?

  • nice rifle

  • nice rifle small cal but i like it and possibly planning on getting one and i dont need a license yeah

  • UramexArms, I salute you for conducting a thorough and very detailed review, filled with many useful tips for several other rifles and hand guns. Thank you for your extremely high quality weapons and reviews.

  • ugh so complicated. unlike the ak series

  • ima ask a stupid question that most gun does but i need to know b4 i buy one. does this gun rust and wat material is it made of?

  • @cxiong116 It wont rust if you lubricate all the metal parts on it, the buttstock and most of the other plactic like material is composite

  • @cxiong116 If your grammar is any indication of your intellect I think you should stick to BB guns... Your gonna end up killing somebody....

  • I got one of these a few weeks ago and have taken it to the range a couple of times. What kind of ammo is best (mostly target shooting and other than that ammo you show)? I've been using Federal Champion HV 36 grain and have trouble with it even tho i set it to HV. It doesn't feed or eject properly sometimes. I got 10 rounds of CCI 40 grain from a guy next to me and got no jams, but thats all i shot with that ammo. Is that ammo better? Thx

  • what do these rifles fire and how do they work?

  • They fire .22 ammo, and they work like a regular firearm.

  • @UmarexArms thats a small cal. i think you can get one witheout license, cant you?

  • @1993heavenshallburn That is true of most places in the US. An individual would of course need to check on their local laws to see.

  • @UmarexArms Not in California Im pretty sure.

  • @1993heavenshallburn All weapons purchased from the dealer in the US must be registered. If you buy a rifle from a friend or at a gun show you do not need to register it although it is advised.

  • @corporaldog1 okay, i'll move to the USA immediately...xD

  • This video really helps you out on the dissasembly and high velocity round thanks

  • is there anyway to change the 22lr to shoot a 223 or 5.56 i got the 22 an i dont feel like it will get the job done

  • @ghostkid0201...

Yeah, just get a box of .223 and stuff them in this .22lr gun.

Better yet, save yourself some money and just buy one .223 bullet, because that's all you're gonna need. LMFAO!

  • no...its completely different platform. You should have got a .223 to begin with. What are you using it for? The rifle is fine for plunking and small game. If you are trying to use it to hunt bigger game its illegal.

  • is this the real thing ? m16?

  • no .22 lr

  • @theMraneff...

Yep, it's just like the gun the US military uses (when they are fighting invading squirrel armies). LOMAO!!!!

  • Anyone try to remove the stock front site??? i was wantingto remove mine....

  • I noticed that when I load up Aquila Super Max in HP which travels at 1750fps that the rifle goes into full auto automatically and is super fun. I think the higher gas pressure does something

  • wow colt recommends german ammo....thats cool^^

  • @Timme71m it s build in germany,by umarex

  • I wanna put A Hogue Grip on Mine will it just be easily installed with no modification to the gun like drilling to it? I know anyone here done it, I need input before I buy one. Thanks! (;

  • when you install it in a real AR theres a little spring in the grip, if you lose that your safety will not function properly, on my colt 22, when i painted it and took off the grip there was a small spring, also theres functions that WONT work like a real AR.. but colt and walther say its a milspec so the Hogue grip WILL fit.

  • @neo19209 Are you Serious bout the spring? Coz i dint know about that spring. I dint see it on mine when i took the grip out. O ya I jus installed the Hogue grip I just have to like drill a new hole to it and make the other hole bigger and kinda shave some of the inside to make it fit perfectly. I dint know about the spring inside it. think i lost it :(

  • NO, mine didnt have the spring, i meant to say there wasnt a spring in there, your fine. Theres just some small differences on the colt and a real AR, alot of the small stuff doesnt function but im glad you got that Hogue grip for it, i have that one on my S&W AR, its VERY comfortable

  • Excellent informative

  • Keep these video coming please!

  • Excellent video! Can we purchase these type of video.

  • What's up with the slow buffering? Is it me, or just this video, or the youtubes

  • Might just be your computer or internet connection. (or might have been Youtube earlier) Working fine for me...

  • @Ezzequiel2517 Its your shitty internet, lol

  • thanks for this video.

  • i got the M16a2 .22 ,one of the best rifles I`ve ever shot, very accurate

  • My buddy just got one last week! Freaking awesome right out of the box. Just dont use rem. ammo. It doesnt like it! Other than that, not one problem!

  • I hope Santa is watching this ....

  • @locolopelocolope

ahahhaha XD Indeed. Let's hope that Santa gives us nice presents like this :D

  • buy a sabre defense.... a .22 lr conversion kit... and you have more fun.

  • I got the M4 version, took it out and fired it the next day. Wanted to clean it before puting it away for the day after only 50 rounds, all I had. Followed instructions, it would not go back together after the first time. Sent it back and the barrel and some other springs needed replacing. Completed free of charge, happy about that otherwise it was another $179.00. Just got it back yesterday so gonna go try it again today, fingers crossed. Great warranty, was accurate the first time out.

  • What is the little button on the right hand side of the weapon for? It faces towards your face when you aim.

  • That button is a bolt forward assist button. On real AR-15s and M-4s, after pulling the charging "T" handle you might have to push that button to fully seat the bolt in the chamber. It might not be functional on this rifle because it is a .22 and uses a "blowback" operating system.

  • It's the "forward assist." The idea behind it is if a round fails to completely chamber you can "assist" the bolt by pushing this "button" and pushing the bolt/round all the way forward into the chamber.

  • what firearms laws and regulations apply to this gun in the U.S. Is it considered a NFA weapon?

  • How loud is this sexy beast? for example this is as loud as a clap or wood hitting the ground

  • if it can fire cb caps then its as quiet as a cap gun LR rounds have a fair amount of pop

  • i hate foreign weapons like the ak47

  • so you hate hi-powers? theyre made in belgium

  • Sorry for people in california. the 30 rnd is no good here. umarex is putting out rifles with 10 round mags. model no. 2245060 compared to 2245060. also im not very sure about the flash suppressor since the barrell is threaded. i need to really check carefully on the laws in Cal. asslt rifles are restricted to centerfire but a threaded barrel is close to a 30rnd mag. again i dont know the laws very well

  • It's just the 10 round mags for us for rimfires. We can have anything else that we want on it.

  • so i was setting my rifle for high velocity ammo and the vid said keep turning 'til the screw stops, the screw never stopped. so i backed it out back to flush. when is it supose to stop? how many turns in? and can i fully strip the rifle? i want to get down and dirty w/ it, but it seems very complicated. any vids on how to do that?

  • For a starting point on the adjustment screw - set it to flush. Then, turn it in 9 revolutions clockwise. You only want to disassemble it down to what is shown in the video. At that point with the upper and lower pivoted away from each other, you can use gun scrubber, a small brush (old toothbrush would work), and rag to clean inside.

  • what type of firing system does it use? i heard the bolt catch is non functional and the forward assist is kinda there for looks. but i wander if the lower receiver is similar enough to the ar15 lower to adapt a working bolt catch. i can live without the forward assist but that would be awesome to fit a real forward assist. im assuming the dimensions must be just about the same to a AR

  • Blowback system. The bolt catch is internal. Receivers are dedicated to the Colt 22s, both M4 and M16. The forward assist does not function on the Colt rimfires because you do not want the assist to strike the rim and cause the cartridge to fire. Check out Colt22Rimfire on the web for more technical data.

  • as an unfortunate resident of california, any "assault-style" weapon here is out of the question...unless its a rimfire cartridge. I was gonna save up to get the SR22, but I just saw this at big 5 and now I know this is what I'll get.

one quick question: what other brands work well with this rifle?

  • Can anyone explain why the muzzle break needs to be loosend prior to tapping out the break-down pin??

I don't have this weapon and don't see the connection between the two?

  • It's a dedicated .22, so loosening the flash suppressor on the Colt .22 M4 and M16 relieves tension on the barrel which in turn relieves tension on the receivers making the rear receiver pin easier to remove. It was engineered as a tight fit for accuracy.

  • So the outer barrel housing is a sleeve for an inner barrel?

  • That is correct.

  • one question...at 3:17 this round thing that you can pull out on the left side...what is that, what is it used ofr and how is it called ?????

I used to think that this was for cocking the gun...

  • The round "button" at the bottom of the frame is the forward assist. On the Colt Rimfire rifles, it does not function, but is there for authenticity. On an AR it's used to manually close the bolt in case it does not close all the way. This allows you to push the bolt fully into battery. If it worked on a Colt .22, it could cause an unintentional fire of the cartridge.

  • yeah I found that on one of your videos...does the military version of the M4 and M16 also have the fake forward assist or do they have the real thing ???

  • real thing i have the 5.56 version

  • hey i held one of the m16 versions of these firearms and the metal body felt knid of cheap anybody know how good the quality actually is of these firearms?

    thanks

  • I love mine, lost of fun and dependable with good ammo. dont use remington unless you intend to teach someone how to handle misfires.

  • Their not even made from colt lol. they are made in germany. I want this one but im looking at the SMITH & WESSONS M&P15 22lr

  • yeah i bought this one over the S&W just cuz it was just a bit better quality but dont get me wrong i love S&W, i heard it was a bit more reliable with not so expensive ammo like my colt only shoots CCI's

  • when will it be available in the philippines?

  • I havent had any problems with mine. I have about 900 rounds through it so far. It is a REAL pain in the but to clean though.

  • There is a little notch on the bolt buffer that broke off but I dont think it will affect the gun. It was a cheap plastic part.

  • does the bolt release and dust cover work?

  • Bolt release no, but you can put the dust cover on but there is no point with the empty ammo indicator in.

  • I am not happy with mine.I have had problems getting the mag to latch,I even bought a new one and had the same result. You must slap it VERY hard to seat. There is also a problem with jamming, even with the more expensive 22 ammo. This is not due to an adjustment issue as it will jam even when cycling the bolt with the charging handle. I bought it to train teenagers cheaply, now they learn how to clear jams

  • The Colt .22s magazine not locking in place is due to the magazine latch. This part is very simple to replace and only involves removing one screw, swapping the latch and reinstalling the screw. This only takes a couple minutes. If the bolt assembly seems to bind up then our gunsmith would need to evaluate and make necessary adjustments. We can provide an RA# and prepaid label for the gun's return. We typically have a 72 hour turn around time. Please call our Service Dept at 479-646-4210 x71.

  • Is there a cost difference between the m4 and the m16? Or are they both around the same cost?

  • The base model M4 and M16 Colt 22s are generally within $100 of each other at retail. Shop around though because dealers are setting the prices.

  • Could you guys please show how to remove the rails? how many pounds of pressure is it suppoed to take?? seems awful hard...

  • It's shown in the other video. They're tight at first.

  • I was able to release them yesterday and slide the covers right off. I was pressing the release tab too hard, not pushing the cover hard enough. It was easy. Thank you.

  • me and my dad are thinking of buying one of then. we went on your website we couldnt find the cheout area can you help me???

  • Umarex sells their Colt .22 firearms through distribution only, which means it is best to contact your local firearm dealer. Only the accessories for the Colt rimfire rifles in addition to a full line of Umarex airguns are available direct from Umarex USA.

  • does anyone know if i could get one of these in canada, please reply

  • If California allows it I don't see y Canada wouldn't

  • k, do u know a good site that lets you order them, and it says were it ships to?

  • do u know of any

  • I just bought a S & W M & P 15-22. I can field strip it without any tools. It takes less than 10 minutes to clean. It does not have to need any adjustments for type of ammunition. It has a standard AR-15 Trigger and Hammer. It cost less than $500 and will shoot a really tight group free hand while standing. It may not be cosmetically identical to the AR-15 but all the parts actually work on it, no fake parts that is. I am glad I bought the S & W over the Colt. Much nicer weapon.

  • I got my basic M4 version for $514 and $28 for a second magazine :) I like it so far but I need some copper plated ammo, the lead stuff I have now sucks in it.

  • GO check out "Woods Shoot (7/28/2009)", its a vid me and my friend made shooting this and other guns!!!!!!!!!
