Spider-Man is comical that he comes off as weak, but honestly he'd kick your ass any day of the week all day every day, without ever having to punch you either.
Whatever happened to "Look out! Here comes your friendly neighborhood Spiderman!", and "I call that a web-slingin' ass kickin'!"? Two epic lines that's been on the games many, many times and used by various spiderman voice actors. Foul Language is rated E for Everyone!
@TurboMiroku i think "I call that a web-slingin' ass kickin'!" was the best in Nemesis rise of the imperfects with the negative Spiderman that shit was awesome that was my favorite line in the game!
I wish Spider-Man's combos, actually, everyones combos, were a little easier to execute. Spider Sting is hard, and doing it backwards for Web Swing is insanely difficult. At least for me. I really hope a new button comination system is made for Normal Mode or Simple in Marvel vs Capcom 4, should there be one in the future. 'Til then, keep swinging, Spider-Man!
@Ultrox007 Is it weird to say that those are part of my favorite team? I guess I just love video game annoyances. Navi, Dr. Robotnik from the 3D games, and Otis from Dead Rising.... yeah, I like them. That's not weird, is it?
Honestly, fighting wise Spidey feels like Spidey (except the Dhalsim like airtime he gets) but character wise he feels wrong. Answer me this Marvel, why is Spidey taken the backseat to Deadpool in terms of quips. It's not right honestly. Makes him seem insignifgant.
Lol UWT doesn't suck at all. It's Spidey's strongest super and amazing when you reset it properly. Since you always use it in a reset rather than a regular combo, it isn't affected by damage scaling (so it will always do 300k damage. That's almost 1/3 of an average character's health and almost 3/4 of Phoenix's).
@SolidSnakeRules Venom, perhaps. But Carnage is a whole different beast. Yeah, he can swing and crawl, but he attacks differently. Carnage can form his body into weapons and has incredible reach. He can throw rasor sharp pieces of himself when melee isn't enough. Not to mention he can stretch himself and shrink.
Plus, he's freaking crazy. Why wouldn't you want a laughing psychopath on your team?
@SolidSnakeRules Yeah, but what makes him generic. The last time I checked, there weren't a hundred other characters that were psychopathic, cannibalistic serial killers that were bonded to a red alien symbiote that increased their strength a hundred fold.
@Hotmanlion12 psychopathic serial killer is THE generic supervillain. The symbiote thing is basically venom repackaged. Ergo, Venom is actually a decent character whereas Carnage is a run-of-the-mill villain

That trick also works well with Gambit's Royal Flush special if you do it right and you have three special slots filled up (some characters have only one) then you can score at least a 99 hit combo
Have you guys forgotten that you can cancel the special moves right in the middle of when its being executed and re-enter them for massive combos and damage? For example Chun-Li's super fireball; down to left two attack buttons at the same time LP+MP or use one of the top triggers for HP. Right when the fireball is about to end and you have at least one more special left put in the same command again and she will make another fireball inflicting more damage!
First, I find out that they took Megaman out of the Marvel vs. Capcom roster. Now, I find out that they removed Venom from the roster too? What's wrong with this game's creators?
BTW if you guys google MvC3 character vote and follow the link to the capcom forums you can vote for who you want to see in up comming dlc's, 5 capcom 5 marvel.
