  • Good planning in adapting the TX1 to airborne apps. What concerns me is that the TX1 lens is sticking out and the lens vulnerable to damage when deployed. You have already rigged up mounting plus a backup system just in case. How about a servo controlled ON/OFF system for pushing that TX1 power button so that it deploys in midair AND closes before landing. That sure will be nice won't it? By the way I have the same video camera.

  • Hi Tsiongky; I have abandoned using the TX1 for in flight recording. The image stabilization mechanism is too sensitive for any electric motor (forget diesel engines) vibrations. I have gone to using the flip HD which has no lens image stabilization. I still own two TX1's as I use them for 3D videos.
