As I write this the DOD has ordered the DADT Law to be temporarily suspended due to an injunction by a Federal District Judge who called the policy unconstitutional. That happened on October 9th 10 days ago. Strangely enough the sky hasn't fallen and our military seems to function as good as it always has.

okay, if sex is an issue, why allow women to serve? women have been raped by their fellow male officers, why not ban women because some men can't control themselves? gay or straight, sexual behavior of course, is forbidden. this so-called colonel is just under a stupid assumption that only gays can't behave. Australia, Austria, Bahamas, Belgium, Britain, Canada, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Lithuania, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.

A few points about former Lt. Col. Maginnis: he's a West Point ring knocker who's never seen a day of combat in his life. He currently is active in religious right causes, and is a "military expert" for Faux News, while at the same time being employed as a DOD contractor. Any "expertese" he may offer is clearly tainted by his limited military experience as a "chair-borne ranger", and his own vested economic interests.

im in the military and just got home and i feel and under stand both sides.. there was soldiers that i knew were gay ans we were put in situations that a gay porn would pay millions for, i agree with the Lt Cor but if u come in u have to understand that we are train to kill and destroy. As for me if anyone gets that understandin would be proud to fight with him or her, gay or not
