do all respect, i don't think that it was a bad landing, could be better? yes, of course yes. looks like no crosswind, and during the touchdown moment the wing is not ''vibrating'', and do not forget that A380 is one of the heaviest aircraft. one advice for pdq1 to hold the video camera better during touchdown. this was my feedback. good day to all.

This is nothing. I was on a flight into Dayton, Ohio and our pilot must have been an ex Navy pilot because he came in fast and dropped the plane onto the runway like he was trying to catch the #3 wire or something. We ended up having to sit while the fire department responded to our hot brakes.

@aerlingus1000 You can't. It depends on the runway and the weather. If the runway supports autoland and the weather is good, a plane like A380 its 99% most of the time an autoland. Even if the pilot lands it automatically you won't know the difference again IF the weather is good.

That was a beautiful ILS approach, hit the ground a little hard but remember it was a computer doing everything so don't necessarily blame the pilot. Also remember any landing you walk away from is a good one. Flying is learning to throw yourself at the ground and miss after-all...

This is nothing, coming abck from Reno we had a pefect 3 point landing. First the left wheel, then the right and then the nose. Man, we bounced around on that plane for a bit, about slugged the pilot who stood there with an embaressed look on his face apologizing for the landing.

Looks like a perfect, "Plop and Stop" landing to me. So an A380, which requires approx 1900 - 2100 meters to land in perfect conditions has this runway that is 2500 meters in Tokyo. The pilot has to get it on and stopped as quickly as he/she can due to the small window of opportunity for a safe landing. Any aviation professional will tell you this demonstrates a school book landing for the conditions presented. In the future you might want to learn more about aviation before you post.
