I'm 12 I'm in my first year of club volleyball and I play like them. @emrace1114 it's at a tournament so there are more games going on. I'm going to a tournament where there is going to be 150 games at once

While watching the vid, all I could think of is "Brilliant libero, passing, and setting but where's the kills? I mean, they hit well (granted some are wonky footed) but where's the power?" Of course, that was before I knew they were 12-13 yrs old. At that age group, most of my team members didn't even have consistant over-hand serve and the hardest return was an attack volley. Amazing job, and they can only go up from here. (PS haters stop hatin. I'd like to see ya'll play at this age.)

I'd would have liked to start playing earlier, I actually started my "career" at age 12 and let's say I didn't spike, made underhand serves... but that's what all the beginners do I suppose :)

@MrProHLG no your not, i guarantie that your team is not better. look how well they're laying up for the spike and how far down they're hitting it. Not to mention they get there bump, set, spike over the net in a matter of seconds. Yuor team most likely takes 10 seconds at least to do a good spike. Don't be cocky

@Lordlude903 Not Really, 10 seconds is quite a long time they get it over the same time they do 5-7 seconds. And the spikes aren't that good, but because there girls i think they're hitting really hard. Obviously me being a boy on the Boys JV Team those hits are pretty much fingertip hits. And Also Im Not Saying They Could Annihilate, but my schools girls JV does have a lot of tall girls e.i 2 6ft tall middles, and a 5'9 and 5'10 outside. And they could definetely hit harder than this

They were 11 and 12, as a matter of fact I was the coach of the Jammers teams (From Hawaii) we had only 2 players (the Lib and one of the outside hitters) that was 12 at the time, everyone else was 11. They all have D-1 Scolarships now. some are current members of the USA Junior National team! Thanks for posting the Vid! Aloha

@Dovey14 Aloha coach. Awesome group of players. They have inspired and set the bar for my 13s, 14s, and 15s team ever since. If any are in college now, I would love to know who they are and where they are playing. I can add this information to the video tag so other can search on their favorite players and see what they looked like at 11 and 12 years old.

@NorcalJefe Thanks again, The first two graduate this year, The Libero plays for the USA junior national team and is heading to Colorado U. The other has committed to Saint Johns U. She was one of the outside hitters. They both were selected on the Under Armor National High school players of the year (this year) for their positions. The rest are Juniors. however all have committed to heir colleges of choice. Aloha

@kerkeloo Interesting - what rules are they playing by? The attack at 1:36 looks illegal according to FIVB rule 13.3.5 ("A Libero completes an attack hit if at the moment of the hit the ball is entirely higher than the top of the net.") although it's hard to tell from the angle whether the ball is entirely higher than the top of the net when she hits it.

@jgmccabe - the angel of the camera does not allow for the watcher to know if this is an illegal attack. It certainly is close - however considering some of best officials in the US work these matches - I am sure they would have made the correct call.

@dolfinden06 I agree the angle makes it difficult. In my experience that angle tends to make jumps on the near side of the net look lower than they really are. I'm sure you're right that if it was illegal it would've been called. My question about the ruleset used was based on responses in Yahoo!Answers from High School girls who believe liberos can freely attack from the back court. The NFHS doesn't appear to publish their full rules online so I can't confirm it. Very impressive playing though.
