Take note those who are getting pissy over the rage about Dizzy-

Armake21 character wise is based on people who take gaming way too seriously, who rage constantly over the smallest things, and who do NOT actually know how the hell to play a video game. That being said, I like how only after Yahtzee mentioned the series, that people seem to be annoyed about this segment.

That and the fact that this is a VERY bad port of an old, but good adventure game I grew up with on the C64.

On the KIangaroo Corner stage you can surely get to the lower platform if you barely miss the one above it. After all the Kid doesn't jump in a |'''''| shape but in a parabola.

That actually makes sense, unlike dropping and steering in free fall as with Super Mario.

Dizzy is the one true Adventure on this collection and he can't handle it. He argues as if he never played a game more advanced than Pitfall; still the introductory rock puzzle was too easy, eh you genius?

Having only one chance the whole game is hardly acceptable though, and calls for use of save-states.

Wow, just wow. How many times are you gonna ask what you're supposed to be doing? What about Mario? Or Sonic? Or any other game that didn't have an opening sequence with a back story? It's my understanding, maybe I'm wrong, that what you're supposed to be doing is, oh yeah, getting further and further into the game till you beat it! Treasure Island Dizzy is a great game, one of my childhood favorites, and I've beaten it alot. Don't listen to this review, try it for yourself. It's great.

What the hell is this? I mean, if you're playing a Dizzy game for a first time, without actually knowing how to blaze through it or even GUESSING which item belongs where is... No, seriously. This game might not be that good (especially with one life for the entire game), but to call it a complete POS is just damn tedious. You should have tried better Fantastic Adventures of Dizzy or Dizzy the Adventurer first.

@SpyWhoLovedHimself no it's not, it's as idiotic as Armake shows, you can't fall more than 2 platforms down, you can't attack and in some levels there are no obvious ways of reaching the exit, like kangaroo corner as well as a few others, not to mention the hit detection is poor

@bloodbath, he did go left, but there was a pile of rocks, (unpassable at the time) i think you need explosives to get past it or something

Right, you need to climb up from where the first hidden cage trap is in order to proceed, but as this video shows, that surprise trap discourages players from ever stepping on that platform again.
