The Correspondence dinner is suppose to have jokes, it's a night to chill and relax with jokes. All I hear from Rush is "the mexicans are taking our country, Asians are stealing our money, Blacks are always whinning about being poor." You think it's okay? When America is basically made up of those minority? Sounds like a Nazi to me.

@lokkstar It very much matters where someone says anything. Rush is free to say whatever he wants on his show. He has the freedom of speech and his show from which he can say anything. The Correspondence Dinner is a government hosted event. Subject to different ethics. You're calling Rush a nazi when you, yourself, want to limit his rights to speech and aren't willing to understand his views to better debate them. Sounds like you're the fascist to me.

@lokkstar I think that's a gross generalization, but yes. Allowing someone to speak their mind gives the opportunity for other people to listen, process and either agree or disagree. Rush's downfall will be people listening to him and seeing his narrow views. You shouldn't take away his freedom of speech, not only does he have it as a citizen, but you're taking away the opportunity for other people to process and make their own decisions of his views. People should be given choices, not limited.

She should be able to say whatever she wants, the government should be able to say whatever they want shouldn't they? That's why we vote for them. People should have the right for freedom of speech but at least make the speech professional and respectful. We don't need any more hate, do you think it's okay that the KKK goes around and ask white people to join their clan, make speeches to influence whites?

@lokkstar She can say whatever she wants on her own show, there are ethics associated with the White House podium that she did not follow. We shouldn't vote for people for what they say but what they do. Speech doesn't have to be professional or respectful when it isn't from the government's podium. Hate in society is perfectly normal, it falls withing normal standard deviation. The KKK, Rush, Black Panthers and you can say whatever you/they want.
