  • BoC are fuckin huge ... never get tired of listening to this song..

They should be as massive as the Doors, at least..

  • He looks and sounds like a guy in his mid-40s at the most. Great version of a classic track and a nice vid, btw.

  • Hey, the Bouchard bro's are great, but I can see why Buck ,Eric and Alan moved on. Albert and Joe want to be the focus and a way from BOC they lose the magic

  • Actually one of the great rock tunes ever, almost unknown by the masses. WE NEED A REUNION of thhe Band with the Bouchards. The greatest American rock band for my money..

  • From the first note on Secret Treaties, this tune grabs hold of you and shakes the living crap out of you while never losing any rhythm or melody. It is so great that it is hysterically funny to compare it to your average banal classic rock tune. I like this version better than the one on ET Live.

  • I had no idea he plays again, wow Mr. Al (from westside high) you rock!

  • WOOOOOOOOW! It's great to see the great Master Albert again and playing and singing this good, sorry Eric, but only Albert can sing this song that way, the original way, let alone the drumming, OH How I wish they could play together again it would be like a dream come true to see and hear Albert, Joe, Allen reunite with the great Eric and the Master Buck Dharma, after watching this posting I came to realize that Albert is in even better shape to give a world concert with BöC, COME OOOOOON !!!!

  • I second the comment by clubninjarock. Rick Downey really distinguished himself as B.O.C.'s drummer, but Albert was the "Keith Moon"/crazyman/creative genius of the band.

  • I saw the Cult in 1984 with all of the original members, save Albert (Rick Downey on drums) when they played a little dive in Reno, Nevada as the "Soft White Underbelly." I had to use a fake ID to get in. I was a semi-fan at the time, but the day after the concert I went out and bought all of their albums. They did the version of "Last Days of May" withe the extended solo--that pretty much solidified my love for the band. The greatest rock band of all time, bar none.

  • Is Albert the drummer on the burnin' for you video? Why did he leave the band?

  • Same guy...I've read he was kicked out of the band for making some pretty rude comments to Bucks wife. I know he and Buck got together a few years back for the Helen Wheels tribute. I would love to see them play together one more time.

  • Wow! One of my fave vids on YouTube! All you drummers out there, TRY duplicating what Albert is doing and see if it sounds the SAME. yeah...RIGHT. He is THE MAN!

What a killer groove on the hi-hats.

  • BOC will never be the same without Albert in there to help put em over the top! I miss him in the cult. It would make BOC history if he and Joe would come back!

  • i think albert, joe and buck still get along. with eric pushing 65, maybe the other 3 and les will play again regularly in a couple years???

  • Every original member of the Cult was so great at what they did! And with Sandy lyrics...

  • Red hot. Why BOC never cut this song live with Al singing is a mystery. And a shame.

  • Awesome.

  • Bouchard's still got it~~!! Good job,pops.

  • Always wanted to hear this tune as a straight up punk cover. Figures the guy who wrote it would get the closest to the version in my head!

  • Thanks for posting! He was the heart & soul of boc- great to see that he's still rockin' it hard. Love that hi-hat finesse!

  • Incredible footage... the song and the man are timeless!!! Peace:-)

  • Incredible F

  • I was at this show.Albert had an awesome band.

guitar players were amazing.Boc songs sounded

    real good.

  • I wish Eric Bloom still had this kind of enthusiasm, energy, and charisma.

  • I saw them last year in Vermont. The rest of the band was fine, but Eric was obviously bored. Kinda ruined it for me. He's 64 or so, maybe it's time to hamg it up.

  • I always preferred Albert Bouchard's vocals on this song than those of Eric Bloom. He's still got a great voice and drums like a man 30 years younger. Keep on rocking, Albert! Great clips btw.

  • Agreed & agreed. NO ONE, even the leering Eric Bloom, ever sang this song like the original.

  • Denial of Death is a fantastic album. I've seen an '81 concert with Downey..he's a badass drummer. But of course, Al is the man.
