  • He is the reason why 49ers are successful this year! Too many injuries last year and Harbaugh just inherited a talented team. If he was still coach this year, he would have been praised as being a good coach.

  • why Mike Singletary is good Ray lewis is way better

  • Singletary is a jerk. I live in Chicago, he has a reputation of not signing autographs, he won't tip in restaurants. I don't believe this video. When he was the coach of San Francisco, he denigrated his players regularly. Look at how much better they are without that prick.

  • There's Mike Singletary sounding like a coach! He is an awesome player not because of talent but intelligence and integrity!

  • Comment removed

  • americans are so dramatic. that interview was weird.

  • @tommymonsternz you' re mistaken dramatic for passion, no one has more passion than Ray Lewis!

  • Mike Singletary doing the people's eyebrow at 2:32.

  • ray is so religious on the field lol

    Ray tackles a QB*

    QB: owww!! ray that hurt!!

Ray: thats some Jesus fo yo ass..godbless cause u just got knocked the hell out

  • "We're going to be here all day baby. This is my kind of party" Mike Singletary hahaha.

  • Just like Mike Singletary, Ray Lewis just... doesn't give a fuck. What an animal

  • ray lewis best linebacker ever

  • @KcKlown61 best inside linebacker

  • Man, I have nothing but respect for Singletary. He played and coached with passion and the players he had in SF didn't match his intensity. Singletary is a winner. He wants winners because he knows what winners do and what it feels like. Guys like Vernon Davis had no clue.

  • wow he coached lewis and patrick willis, and there both beasts

  • he had alex smith, shuan hill, jt osullivan and david carr play qb. you try and win with them. even tho im a raider fan sing never had a shot in sf

  • @MELLYMEL510 ive been tellin people that, it was the bone headed plays that the players made that left them ou tof the playoffs , not coach sing

  • @spectre0075 Says the guy sitting on his ass in front of the computer.

  • All the respect for Sing. He is a great linebacker and defensive coach. But he's not the offensive wizard.

  • 8 people got tackled by Ray Lewis.

  • @spectre0075 the 49ers needed that ego they were very undisciplined. personally, i thought singletary would be a bill parcells kinda guy. come in hard nosed and right that sinking ship but unfortunately it didn't work out.

  • i believe singletary is better as a linebacker coach than a head coach. not because of the way he coach. the guys a genius. it is because he understands the linebacker position more than anything else the game has to offer. now i'm glad he's with the vikings now. the linebacker core is one of the needed for the team on defense.

  • what the heck is ray lewis doing in a chicago uniform!!! lol

  • 2 of the greatest

  • 4:22

  • Eagles PLEASE hire this guy as the defensive coordinator

  • people praising Ray Lewis, do you not recall at all that he was (at the very least) present when a man was brutally murdered, if not very much involved in the murder? in no way possible is he an example of how a man should carry himself.

  • @shh4 so he was present at a murder u were there? what proof u have? if michael jordan goes to a party of 500 people and someone gets killed u know what they say he had something to do with it why cause those other 500 people are not high profile christopher walken was there when natalie wood died did he kill her? oh no now i have to get rid of kign of new york and pulp fiction from my dvd collection get a life i bet your a conservative white guy with a small brain

  • @shh4 all we know is that someone lost their life. Many lives were changed from this unfortunate and terrible incident Including ray lewis's. YOU are entitled to your opinion but remember that the jealous and envy that you have inside will continue to destroy and interfere with any hope or happiness that you wish to have in life. I am curious, what will we find when we research your past? Be a builder and not a destroyer.

  • @shh4

What happened to innocent till proven guilty >_>?

He could very well have been at the wrong place at the wrong time.

  • @Cachito805 he is a preachers son.

  • Ray Lewis is one of the few LEGAL hitters...feet to sternum and if you cant take it go play fuckin badminton

  • @VEGASINTN I'd rather play badminton than get hit by Ray Lewis.

  • ray lewis is a whiny little bitch! If he doesn't get his way he cryings like a baby.

  • @reverendpimpdaddy1 LoL - He did the exact opposite in this video ... WTF?

  • ray lewis is the bill russell of the nfl.

  • i like this kinda party!!!! lmao!!!!

  • dam he is a preacher holy shit this got me pumped up to play football

  • one of the greatest role model ever as a football player....definitely hall of fame character....Ray lewis best ever..

  • i tried playing football, when i was 12. but something about being 12 and grabbed by the facemask and yelled at by a grown man didnt appeal to me. so i stuck with hockey, which i still hated, but i could at least hit. looking back i might as well have stuck with football, all i did in hockey was hit anyways. i got cut from most teams because i would never go for the puck, id always go for the hit. it was fun tho. watching ray lewis vids is pretty inspirational haha

  • People are giving Mike Singletary a hard time because he's not living up to his expectations in SF. But regardless of his questioning is coaching style you can't help but love his coaching philosophy.

  • And now, Coach Singletary is coaching one of the Best young linebacker, if not thee best linebacker in the nfl in Patrick Willis.

  • i'm a die hard steelers fan, but Ray Lewis is my favorite football player. he's a real man and not a pretty boy. and he knows how to finish games...continuously.

by the time he's finished, i think he'll be the best to ever play the game, but not yet.

  • "Aye baby AYE BABY".....man I love my Houstonians.

  • "I am a steward of this game, a keeper and a reminder of what this game was created to be."

    Mike Singletary

  • @provex0 racists

  • I REALLY hope the 49ers turn this around. I'm a Dolphins fan but Mike Singletary is one I respect the most in da game

  • if Mike Singletary was in my face, I wouldn't either! I'm not crazy.

  • "UNITY!!!" HAHAHAHAHAAAAAAA

  • I like singletary I just hope for his sake the 49ers don't kill his career.

  • @zoroluva hes killing the 49ers u jerk off, his stubborn philosophy is obviously holding us back! sorry 4 yelling lol

  • @siege86 It's not him though, it's Alex Smith.......

  • I find it very hard to really believe Lewis did what a lot of people have accused him of. the way he carries himself, and can be told what to do and NEVER lose his cool.. I just find it very hard to believe. Lol I have to add, simply because it made me about wreck my car, but i'm driving on 83 just over md line in pa, i swear to god, theres this big black dude on the side of the road, standing in front of this NICE ass car, and the eyes, all i could think was wow he looks like lewis, lol. hmm

  • you want me to go do it like that? Uhh yes!!

  • @IFknHateUTube so much hate! WHY?

  • @Echols537 it aint hate if its da truth. i just bein real. u don want no murderer as you coach, he get no respect at all. he play good but he no good for coaching

  • @IFknHateUTube Ray Lewis is just as much a murderer as you are a person with an IQ above the gov't retarded disability level. I know a man of such a minimal intelligent quotient doesn't understand what i'm saying, but Ray Lewis was initially charged with murder to get him into custody. He snitched his friends out because his mom and GOD told him it was the right thing to do. he was convicted of obstruction of justice, a misdemeanor. I live in MD but i doubt the State of GA lets murderers walk

  • @jaydog7575 Hater

  • Great !!!!!!!!

  • I promise you that Ray Lewis is the smartest defensive player in the game and has been for some time now. Ed Reed has achieved much of his greatness thanks to Ray's leadership and mentoring him on how to study film and read offensive keys and tendencies... Singletary coaching Ray was an awesome experience from a Ravens fan's perspective... I still root for Iron Mike when they aren't playing the Ravens...

  • 2:45-2:50.

..."That's what Mike Singletary did. He went in and KNOCKED IT OUT, Ray. You should go watch some of those mid-80's tapes. Holy crap was he awesome."

  • this video is just a snapshot of why I love football... the good guys right here...

  • @FlozelltheHotell Exactly no question Ray knows Mike S. was great and was only interested in helping making him great and helping his understanding of not just linebacking but Football, so he humbled himself to a guy who had already attained greatness.See that's the difference between him and a prick like T.O. he will never be great because it starts with humility.

  • SEARCH Dewayne Lewis Ray Lewis Cousin

  • ray lewis and mike singletary... legends.

  • This is a legitimate comparison. Ray is the best MLB since Singletary period. Willis will be next.

  • i love this guy, singeltary keeps it real

  • This is what makes me to become a great linebacker

  • If I ain't wrong it was almost like a Father and son relation between these two.

Two of the Greatest IF not the Greatest Linebackers to ever live.

  • Ray Lewis > Patrick Willis

  • @ZTM420 for nopw but patrick will be up there

  • @ZTM420

Hells yeah bro Willis is dominant.

  • @TheTokinbudZ > means greater than, so my comment reads: Ray Lewis is greater than Patrick Willis

  • @ZTM420 not now its patrick willis= ray lewis

  • Ray has always been someone I look up to. Now I have respect for Mike also. Thanks for vid. I love anything that helps me stay motivated to train hard.

  • Every MLB Mike touches turns into gold

  • i love at about 1:24 how the guys up stairs are trying to boost singletarys confidence in chewing out ray lewis haha.."chew his ass mike...you can do it" lol

  • "If we don't have each other, we have nothing else...togetherness...unity!" awesome

  • Im 27 and I think on the field he's the best linebacker of my generation.

  • the greast lb of all time PERIOD and one day can be a GREAT coach, i would like to see him coach high school kids because he would change alot of lives.

  • Singletary DEMANDS respect.

  • I am a steward of this game a keeper and a reminder of this game.......more players need to be like that

  • Singletary is a man.

  • can anyone P L E A S E tell me where this video is from. i know its by nfl films i saw once and cant get it out of my head. it was made in 2004 and it basically compares ray lewis to sam huff..anyone who tells me the name of the video and where i can buy it i will subscribe to them and they would be greatly apreciated. if it helps around this time last yr it was on comcasts on demand section for nfl network.

  • gotta love ray ray

  • double murder peanut butter !!!!!!!

  • "If we don't have each other, we don't have nothing"

    Thats what its about

  • As a Raider fan, if Rolando McClain brings half the passion and heart to our D as Lewis and Singletary did to their defenses, he'll have a hell of a career

  • Hey Bay! Hey Baby! WE GONE B HERE ALL DAY BABY! I LIKE THIS KINDA PARTY! LOL! BIG MIKE!

  • Two All Time Greats! Next up Patrick Willis 49ers.

  • @sdamon7 Patrick Willis owned: watch?v=jIlZnBFn8sM

  • All of this only reaffirms what I have been thinking for years; The Baltimore Ravens need to keep Ray Lewis involved in this organization for as long as he is willing to be a part. If I am Ozzie Newsome I say; Ray, I want you to play here for as long as you want to, and when you're done, there's a Linebacker Coaching position open for you, whenever you want it.

  • @tolson88 , exactly

  • @tolson88 True but Singletary is the coach of the 49ers he might go coach under him you never know

  • Cousin RayRay!!!

  • I do believe when he calls it a career. Ray Lewis will go down as the greatest linebacker in NFL history.

  • @like2seeit86 Better than Iron Mike? LT? I don't know, but he'll be in the discussion

  • @sokkersweep22 With all do respect 2 Mike and LT who were great no doubt and set the standard. I feel Ray just reinvented the position. He raised the level of how 2 play it with his passion 4 the game. Also 4 as long as he has been in the game he still continues 2 play at a high level.

  • @like2seeit86 I'm just nitpicking. When you are in that elite of a class, it honestly doesn't fucking matter who you have. It's like top running backs: Walter or Barry? Jim Brown or OJ?

  • @sokkersweep22 Sorry I posted too early.

.... It doesn't matter when players are THAT good

  • @sokkersweep22 True!

  • Ray Lewis = NFL's Johnny Cash. Has felt the darkness, lived and committed darkness, understands it, but now - for what we can tell - uses it to live and bring light to others and buttkicking on the field.

  • @marquettefootball "committed darkness" = allegedly.

  • hit everybody in the mouth!!!!

  • Mike Singletary & Patrick Willis = One Hell Of A Linebacker

  • ooohhhh so that's why ray lewis is so tough, i didn't know our coach was with ray lewis. mike singletary is tough. i hope he stays our coach for years to come

  • Great Vid.

  • football will always be about the next guy and not you... awesome. his reverance for the game is what every player should have. as a coach i find his entire interview to be everything that should be said to players... check your pride at the door.

  • 3:40 onward is brilliance

  • Pure GREATNESS at 4:00, that's what today's players should conduct themselves, that is what I was taught when I was a kid what football was all about. Singletary is one great individual.

  • Check me out benchin, runnin a 40 and playin left tackle

  • A warrior's blood.

    Ray the greatest...

  • ray lewis is my friend brandons dad :D

  • i just asked ray lewis and he said u are lying. nice try fool!!

  • yeah i know i was j/k

  • "God created this game for us just for have fun">>> tell it like it is ray!!!

  • "Samurai Mike" is legendary!

  • well i think lewis is in the league with jack lambert, singletary, buckus, and taylor

  • Mike Singletary is a deep dude.

  • i can see ray lewis being a great head coach

  • @luckyjackass ehhhhhhh, doubt it, mike was a great leader but 49ers suck

  • @luckyjackass Ray Lewis is way too stupid to be a good head coach.

  • @peerpressure1999 You'd know this how because you got your head stuck up your ass. Dumb fuck.

  • @latinfresh88 I actually personally know Ray, and he has personally told me that he is too stupid to be a head coach you fucking faggot.

  • @peerpressure1999 Next time you say some stupid shit like that pussy Ima hunt your ass down bitch. As a matter of fact say something lets see how much of a real man your are. Pussy ass mother fucker. You know lets set up a meeting I'll put your pussy ass out of your misery.

  • @latinfresh88 How about me and Ray Ray come kick your fucking teeth in.

  • @peerpressure1999 Coaching is not about having a IQ above 200, Mike Singletary is good a coach because he has experience and passion for the game, the clever people in football are behind the scenes, I think Ray Lewis would make an amazing coach.

  • @craig1108 I would be surprised if he'd be the defensive coordinator either for the Hurricanes or any nfl team

  • @luckyjackass Head coach no, defensive coordinator coach yes Linebacker coach yes, not head coach though.

  • Singletary would have made a great Marine.

  • 3:58

    UNITAY!!

  • I laugh when people say dick butkiss was the best linebacker. Maybe the best white linebacker but the BEST!!?? far fom it, he was gritty and tough but I can name five linebackers from now and his time that were bigger, better, faster, tougher, and smarter on the feild. With better numbers may i add.

  • your joking right? when butkis played they had a shorter season so of course theyre gonna have more numbers. and what does him being white have to do with how good he is? the best linebacker ever is LT, he CHANGED how the game was played.

  • LT is Definitely #1 across the board regardless of it being outside or inside. Than it's Ray Lewis and at number three you can make an argument for whoever. As far as why I mentioned Butkiss refer to bisquiks post. tell me he's list isn't laughable? He's either a 70year old white guy or a race baiter.

  • I think your list is laughable. Butkus is reguarded by many as the best player to ever set foot on the field. If you don't agree with that I don't see the point in dubbing someone a race baiter, whatever the hell that is. If you think Ray Lewis is better than Butkus, you probably think Michael Irvin is a better receiver than Jerry Rice too.

  • no even if a did the numbers dont lie. Rice is the best WR to play the game. Same thing can be said for Lewis. Butkiss on the other hand was great when 6/7 players were white, even then he only had respectable numbers

  • Numbers? This isn't baseball bro, and you should maybe learn some NFL history. According to your numbers Eugene Lockhart, and Jessie Tuggle are far better than Ray Lewis.

  • Goddamn man you making me sound like some hater. I like Butkiss he was great for the game but at the end of the day he didn't win a superbowl with Trent Dilfer. I'm guessing you didn't know of him before he was an analyst.

  • I would give most the credit to the 2000 Ravens D to the best defensive back in history, not Ray Lewis. Notice when Rod Woodson left, the Ravens haven't really done jack.

  • Wow I cnt believe you just said that. Rod was like their Achilles heel at that time he was too and slow. Hell I bet you couldn't evenname another player from that defense besides Rod. Ray Lewis has a way of motivating and making nobodies into all stars with his presence. Haven't done jack?? They've made it back to the playoffs plenty of times with a bunch of Dilfers (Bolger, old Mcnair, Flacco, etc.) and you mean to tell me the General had no doing in making that franchise relevant? thats hate.

  • Woodson was their Achilles? That says enough. You are a genius. You obviously started watching football in the 2000's, and play way too much Madden.

  • lol listen we gotta agree to disagree. i think Woodsons best days were as a steeler. There's a reason why the Ravens didn resign him, theres a reason why he was switched to safety.

  • You are totally correct. SF should have moved him to Saftey in 97. But as a saftey he was by no means slow, and never slowed any team down. Plus he was like having a coach on the field. 2002 with 8 pics, 225 yards and 2 tds for Oakland. That is by no means slow.

  • flacco is way better than dilfer and getting better every game, not a ravens fan but i like flacco, mcnair was a great quarterback too, both his playmaking ability and his leadership

  • I was trying to figure out why I always liked Ray Lewis so much. TY for this video post for showing me why: he's a throwback to guys like Mike Singletary who really, really dedicated themselves to the game and IT SHOWS on the field.

Old school guys like Walter Payton who defined the game of football and defined the sport.

  • Jay Cutler NEEDS TO LISTEN TO Coach Singletary!

  • lol wtf?

  • Ray Lewis the greatest to evr play the middle...point-blank period

  • murderer

  • @amm00008 look man O.J. Killed his wife like 20 years ago and is still getting ridiculed today if ray lewis was really a murderer howcome he got off the hook and O.J. didn't

  • diffrent times my brutha diffrent times

  • I would say because the media. They jumped on the OJ case and rode it full bore. The age group that followed the OJ case had never heard of Lewis. Plus, Lewis didn't kill his white ex wife. Oh, and OJ was obviously guilty.

  • Anyone who thinks Ray Lewis is the best,or is in the top five has been watching football for a limited amount of time, or is plain lost.

  • Name the top 5 linebackers of all time

  • Inside, and outside? Just sticking to inside I would put Butkus at #1, and it no particular order after that I would have to say Lambert, Lanier, Nitschke, and Singletary. I think Lewis is great, but he rides more on his atletic ability than his heart like a Singletary or Speilman.

  • Ray Lewis 9 Pro Bowls

    Ray Nitschke 2 Pro Bowls

Mike Singletary lanes responabilty were Guard to Guard; and wasnt able to cover the pass

Lambert played behind Joe Green, LC Greenwood, Erie Holmes and next to Jack ham and Mel Blount....so

I would agree with Lanier though! ;)

  • Maybe I should give Lewis more credit than I do because of my hatred as him for a person, but I still just can't put him in the top five. Pro Bowls? Is that really a measuring stick. Simon Fletcher is a border line hall of famer in my book, and he never even made one. If that's the case you are saying Junior Seau is better than Lewis. You do make a good point though. Unlike the masses on YT, you are wise.

  • its understandable; i dont like oj but he still is one of the greatest RB of all time. lol ya this true about Fletcher ad many others like him!

  • LOL @bisquik3006 list. nice list

  • Then if you are talking outside that's tough. Defensive scheme plays a lot into it, and stats aren't everything. In no order I would say Bell, Taylor, and Ham are certain, after that I would have to do some hard thinking. D. Thomas, Lloyd, Tippett (who played on many bad teams) Rickey Jackson, Ted Hendricks. Hell, I don't have solid top five for OLB's.

  • Singletary is a beast haha

  • Mike Singletary for Fucking President

  • Mike is like Yoda

  • Willis leads the league in tackles now...I'm not surprised, u shouldnt be either.

  • Coach Singletary should do a video on coaching Patrick Willis

  • What?

  • HAHAHA WOAH good one

  • two of my all-time favorite football players

  • I LIKE THIS PARTY! lol

  • Coach Sing is going to turn Patrick Willis into an all time great MLB

  • I met Patrick in high school where we played Basketball with my cousin and he is a terrific guy. I hope he goes on to have a HoF career.

  • "INSTANTLY"

  • The Greatest Ravens:

    1. RAY LEWIS

    2. Jonathan Ogden

    3. Ed Reed

    4. Jamal Lewis

    Agree or disagree?
