Tuscaloosa is a great town and we had a great time when my friends and I went there for the OU/Bama game. Everybody was pretty friendly and none of the opposing fans gave us a hard time. That's why I rooted for Bama in '09 to win the NC. Four+ years of fistfights with Texas fans will do that.

I don't think we'd mind a second crack at Florida. Let's be honest, they're a very well coached team, but nothing special. Tebow is no Sam Bradford. If Meyer had Sam as his QB last year with that defense, they would never have lost that game to Ole Miss. Defense is what carried them. It's just sad that we don't have the coaching anymore to get it done, especially with the talent we have now. Our talent level has gone up since the days of Mangino and Mike Stoops, but our coaching sucks now.

YOU got a point with the regular season. But the problem with the BCS games has been preperation. From 2003 to 2007, he hasn't fully made the players focus on the Bowl game they were playing. And in 2008, well that team WAS prepared, but they just couldn't get it done. That and Stoops gambled a little bit more than he should have. What made me mad about the 2008 NC game was that we had a hurry up offense that never hurried to snap the ball. It didn't make any sense.

@ad287 Well you have to look at how many SOoner coaches have been promoted to new positions at other universities. Mike Stoops, Mark Mangino, Mike Leach, and dozens more over the last decade. Now we have Brent Venables who is good at calling plays and especially blitz packages, but he seems to lack the understanding of his opponents schemes. Which is bad when you have a team that plans it's entire offense to counter OU's defensive schemes. In other words, at times, Venables is predictable.
