@Diclo55 Nah, I think it's called Melodic DEATH Metal, because it evolved from regular Death Metal. Since they use similar sound and riff stylings. It's still Death Metal, but with melodies added with synths/keyboards and more focus on lead guitar. Very few bands really talk about Death or dark lyrics.

Probably gonna get flamed big time for this but...this kinda reminds me of metalcore, but a lot less gay. I mean, a common argument against the metalcore scene is that they ripped riffs off of the swedes. Is this not where they got them? Someone please enlighten me. You're right, metalcore is essentially modern melodic death metal. The reason most metalcore is shitty is because they just rehash ideas from albums like this without adding any interesting flare of their own to them. That and the vocals are almost always terrible and they do nothing to discern themselves from the other shitty vocalists. It's basically shameless In Flames worship without the interesting songwriting.
