NO vote = we are still in the EU, like we are now, and the EU must be more accountable to the people of Europe. It stops the runaway power of the EU parliament and its gravy train expenses.
YES vote = no way back, we can't undo mistakes made in the treaty or the EU, our say in EU is halved. Some countries say is doubled.
The mature thing is to stand up and tell EU to correct the problems, not to give in to the accusing tut-tutting of EU politicians trying to tell us we should be embarrassed.
VOTE NO! if u dont want to loss control of all your irish laws and powers the EU comission will be your new government and will deside most of your laws European police will be allowed to walk the streets of dublin and have powers of arrest dont be fooled by these stupid power grabbing adverts Vote NO to save our freedoms you will be giving up everthing that millions have died to protact our freedom its a fact the lisborn treaty is a massive power grab VOTE NO NO NO!
IRELAND say no 2 Lisbon 2 .and the EU's own para-military "European Gendarmerie Force" !
"The creation of a European para-military force, the EDF, adds to the growing list of bodies, agencies and forces spawned by the EU over which there is scant accountability, scrutiny, transparency or openness. Para-military police are by their very name and nature trained to use force beyond that normally available to police forces and require greater not less oversight. «
thanks for your advise shayno125. i do have my own way of assimilating information and don't require your input. judging by your comments here i would think that your not really an individual but rather someone paid to put pro-lisbon comments. shame on you.
And when Spain voted yes unemployment doubled to 18%. Article 19(1) of the Charter states that "collective expulsions are forbidden". That will be used by the ECJ to block deportations. Paragraph 7 of the referendum legislation also allows the government to surrender our vetoes on justice including asylum and immigration by removing Protocol No.21 of the Amsterdam Treaty. Ireland will only have a 0.8% say in EU legislation where we don't have the veto. Vote no.
The 'guarantees' are worthless as they are not attached to the Treaty. Article 269 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the EU as amended by Lisbon allows the EU Council to create a system of "own resources" for the Union - an obvious reference to European taxes. Paragraph 7 of the referendum legislation allows the govt to abolish passport checks on immigrants by joining the Schengen agreement. The Charter means Ireland will have to let asylum seekers work while the UK doesn't have to. Vote no.
How ironic. You obviously support a treaty that will turn the EU into a soviet-style system. As for your comment on Mary Lou's voice, she at least has more intellect in her little finger than lisbon groupies like you.
This evening in Berlin, people from all over Germany will be demonstrating against this disgusting treaty. We will be making our voices heard and showing that we support the still free people of Ireland !
The Lisbon treaty is self-amending so it could be Ireland's last vote and Germany's last demonstration. Don't let this happen, vote NO for all our children's sake !
Check out No 2 Lisbon 2 and the EU's own paramilitary : European Gendarmerie Force
"EU empire loyalist" right. and as for the military part, that is irish military, not eu. but you no siders wouldnt understand that because apparantly we're going to be conscripted
If anyone out there still thinks that the EU is cuddly and friendly with only the well-being of it's citizens (albeit an imposed citizenship) at heart....google : European Gendarmerie Force. They are "first and foremost at the disposal of the EU" !
This coming Saturday(5th of September), there will be a big demonstration in Berlin against the Lisbon treaty/constitution. Here in Germany most people want a say on giving an un-elected commission of rich people even MORE power over our lives !
Hey Great Video. Rated, fav'd. Going up to see Patricia Mckenna and Boyd Barret Next week, will post on my channel. See ye there. RESPECT THE IRISH NO VOTE. NO TO FOREIGN RULE.
you need to bring this message to the eastern part of the UE (like Hungary where I live) - the establishment here - socalled left and right is pro Lisbon - they dont even know what it is, and they are for it.
