XP's suck. Ditch the rubber belt & put it on a serious diet. Better yet starve it for 2 wks. They should use a steel belt CVT like on the Toyota Prius. CAN-AM Outlander 800 beats it hands down even. What a flop I am disappointed in Polaris.

I agree with you on Hondas, but I've owned Hondas all my life, they get me where I need to go, but the New Sportsman 550 XP I just bought will get me there smoother and faster. I love Hondas, but I also give every other competition a fair shot.

You'll need to remove the plastic on one side, not sure what side yet, because I haven't took mine off yet. there usually on the right side. you should find a Pull start Cable, and I'm sure it won't be easy lol.

well the sportsman is more diverse in that its a utility and play atv. The renegade if you look at it looks sort of like a sports quad. It can be rode in the mud, but. . .it is a little more likley to get stuck. the outlander is nice it keeps up with the sportsman in almost everything. i just bought a sportsman 850xp and i love it compared to the can am, honda, and everything else. I have never been a huge polaris ATV fan, but I think polaris did a good job with this one, they are definetly going in the right direction with this and there new 550 with the exception of the power steering.

Grizzly 700 won ATV of the year last 2 years in a row and is the number one selling utility quad. This new polaris is redesigned and everything. It looks like incredible performance and all but it doesn't have wide arc a-arms and it doesn't have as good of a locking differential and it weights way to much. Grizzlys are also way more reliable. Get your shit straight.

Also even though the on demand system has been upgraded you still have to loose traction before you gain traction. Also the belts are more prone to breaking on a Polaris and they have the most reapirs OF ANY ATV manufacture. THIS IS A FACT.

Your full of shit. Grizzly 700 weigh WAY less than a sportsman. 184 POUND DIFFERENCE. That's 184 pounds sinking DEEPER into the mud due to the added weight. That's 184 more pounds the machine has to muscle out of the mud AND it's buried deeper in the mud because of the weight.
