@Kozzy06 but the funny thing is, it usually doesnt work the same the other way round when religious people lecture atheists about no morals or other topics.
@chickflickaddict91 They don't want any respect for their baseless beliefs. If they are wrong they are wrong and others are well to say that to them. Respecting baseless assumptions and unevidential conclusions and bronze age beliefs about why there are mountains is the same. They might be other people's beliefs, but it surely doesn't make them immune to scrutiny and thus if they are baseless and wrong, there's nothing to respect in the face of better knowledge.
I have an invisible fire breathing dinosaur that can fly, can you prove it? Of course you can't but if I say it is there it must be because you can't disprove it - Religion
@xbillums They are not shoving anything down anyone's throat. They are stating that many religius assumtions are - and they are - outdated or plain silly. And that religius beliefs are no basis to tell other people how to behave. I see no lack of respect here. Lack of respect would be to NOT criticize religion as you would any opinions there are, as that would state religious opinions as weak and in need of special protection, unlike say your opinion about your favourite football team.
Why do they always harp on this? I'm religious, and I would never try to shove my beliefs down anyone's throat. I am quite happy to keep them to myself. Yet youtube is full of videos like this, with comics, panelists and other personalities who seem to feel the need to shove their beliefs down my throat, or at least viciously attack my own. @XBillums maybe you should use the rational part of your brain which is apparently dormant and join atheists who are quite right in thinking that being told how to behave from an old book is an incredibly silly and arrogant thing to do.
@XBillums I agree! He is being so hypocritical. Yes fair enough no one should force their beliefs on him they should respect his choice in the way he chooses to live his life.. But he must do the same.. Calling religious people foolish and ignorant means he clearly is not respecting their beliefs! You cant run around saying people are being stupid for wanting to believe something different and then expect them to show you respect! He thinks his opinion is gospel is what is wrong with him!
Surely though a large proportion of the audience are religious. I'm surprised QI doesn't get more complaints about Fry's forward (yet true) description of them all as 'foolish and ignorant and scared'! Glad he does though. :P

@tomburley There is a concept of a god. I don't believe in gods, but there is a concept of gods. Phrases are memes (I use the term in the original sense) and therefore contagious. I stand by my first comment; It's just an expression and not at all hypocritical (or hypercritical -.-). Don't you understand that?
I think a lot of Stephens answer comes from him being gay and religion causing people to tell him he'll burn in hell and make people hate him for who he fancies, which is of course a load of rubbish, but I think that has a lot to do with how he feels and he's completely right on it as usual
I agree with Mr Fry's view, believe what you wish but do not try and tell anyone else how to live... If more people felt like this there might be less conflict in the world.
@StunnedByStupidity I feel similarly. If I arrive at the pearly white gates and am asked "Why didst thou not believe in the almighty God?" my reply will be "I used the gifts of logic and reason and concluded that there was no evidence for your existence. You cannot fault me for correctly using what you gave freely to me". I will gladly rescind my nonbelief if shown conflicting evidence; but only if said evidence is irrefutable and immutable.
@thecommabandit I think whoever wrote or collate the bible had predicted that argument and therefore put the Adam and Eve story the way it is, so that they can tell you it's your fault for stealing the fruit of knowledge and therefore possessing knowledge that doesn't belong to you..
@thecommabandit I don't think you can make baseless assumptions when you probably haven't even read holy books like the Quran or the Bible through and through.
@thecommabandit i will go 1 step forward, by kicking him in his celestial balls, by letting so many innocent people suffer at the hands of his "followers".
Actually in the beginning, some apes made a sharp stick, and a stone hammer, then 6 million years later, man created God, coz we spent so long shaping stuff, we assumed everything was made.
What I really like about this is that when I changed my mind about my religion and stopped believing it, I really did think, 'Whoah, that was mad, I thought that was true for a minute'.
lol! I love when Alan goes "boooah that was mad. I thought that was true for a minute"
I had an experience like that in my life a while ago. At least I was still a child when it happened for me. I'm still puzzled by the fact that adults still believe in Noah, the plagues, and the Resurrection.
For the record, the Christian Bible doesn't say that being gay is a sin. It says it's an "abomination," which is a really poor translation from Hebrew meaning unclean under the Purity Law, which Christian's don't have to follow under Grace- which is why they can eat shellfish and pork. In Romans 1:19-32, Paul suggests that unclean things can LEAD to "real sin" (I.E. sloth, envy, etc.) but that virtually everything is unclean and only real sin matters.
@TroyTransistor There's another bit though, Romans or Revelations ? (sorry) about how god will curse, er, doubters? those with odd socks? laundrey workers? Something. Anyway, he will cause them to sin, man lying with man, so that they're even more deserving of the hellfire he's already condemned them to. Talk about twisted logic, that's truly the justification/rationlisation of a sociopath.
@queenastilon the entire thing is stupid imho. It's a book written nearly two thousand years ago, it can't possibly still apply to culture today- it advocates slavery, sexism, and general prejudice while also claiming to have a belief of "judge not lest ye be judged."
@TroyTransistor Yeah, but where it says that you should stone them is not a mistranslation. Whether or not homosexuality is a sin or an abomination, it still reads pretty blatantly that homosexuals ARE to be put harm upon. Now, must christians have abolished this bronze age view of being gay, but those who perhaps already have a deal with gay people can find an excuse in the bible to hate on gays. It's pathetic.
@TroyTransistor the word abomination is the strongest word the bible uses, it's the same word it uses to describe child sacrifice, (Jeremiah 32:35) stealing, murder, and adultery (Jeremiah 7:9,10)
@KapStuf FFS. Tōʻēḇā and Shiqquwts are different words, both have been wrongly translated to mean abomination, Tōʻēḇā means loathsome i.e homosexuality the other (Shiqquwts) means unclean i.e menstrual blood.
Some tribes ate their enemies, other humans, to digest mana in its purest form. Mana gave them their strength, agility and spirit. All words later adopted by roleplaying games.
As for religion, if God can do anything, He can create an object so heavy that he can't lift it, which is quite the paradox for any supposed can-do-everything diety.
@Dextline And it's said that the devil is father of paradox which means that god is the devil which means that I'd rather stay away from heaven, god's domain, if I can. =P
I remember years ago watching a film about a tribe that worshiped the sun and thinking how silly they were.I then knew I was no better.I now think if you know there is a god you prove it.It's not up to me to disprove.
@MrBlackGuy95 I think you don't. His dog Genesis is named after the band Genesis (Phil Collins). Not the bible. Besides I have 3 of his books and he makes lots of comments about religion. E.g: If you search the Times Online for the Article Unhand my Patio Heater, Archbishop which is written by Jeremy Clarkson, you will see his religious beliefs in full :) Enjoy being wrong!
@MrBlackGuy95 It includes this quote: I genuinely believe we are born with a moral compass and we don’t need it reset every Sunday morning by some weird-beard communist in a dress. I am, as you may have gathered, completely unreligious, but it doesn’t stop me trying to be kind to others, and I’m never completely overwhelmed with a need to murder madmen in pulpits. Slightly overwhelmed sometimes, but never completely.Morally, the world would be no worse if religion were abolished.
@zOMGeoAnti LOL. If you actually read the conversation you would see that it is Jeremy Clarkson's quote not mine. I said nothing about communism. I enjoy being as dumb as the come if the alternative was being you!
Jeremy Clarkson is the wrong person for this show, dont get me wrong i love him as a celebrity i think he's great... but he doesn't care about learning new facts and absorbing knowledge, whenever he's on here he just makes stupid comments and ignores the facts
religion isn't necerssarily bad. it's all about how you use it
e.g the way martin luther king used it to protest peacefully against violence (the most succesful protest i know) or faith healers the most evil people on the planet.
@mynameisrudi Well, that depends on what you mean by bad. However, religion, on the whole, is detrimental to rational thought and action and that can't be good for the progress of human civilization. There's ample evidence to demonstrate how religion erodes at the progress we could make as a species.
Lol this is amazing, the british celebrities who look and sound the saem together on a show, ahaha I can't tell the difference between fry or clarkson
@Mattysmyth0593 you dumb twat, Im british, what im saying is, all the celebrities in this video (fry, clarkson) sound the same and are all comedic, its like you can't tell the difference they all look and sound the same. THESE SPECIFIC GENTLEMEN.
I hate the way that whenever a video discussing religion arises, a flurry of hating insues. Can we not appreciate this video for what it is? a brilliant clip of a brilliant program.
@geoboy333 It's a topic of debate, we should be discussing it rather than just taking the video as gospel, which is ironically exactly what the video is saying is stupid. What we should be doing is not being total pricks about the debate. If you can't convince someone of your point of view, there's something wrong with your argument, whether it's you or the topic. Being douchey at them won't convince them anymore.
this stuff is not responsible for the taliban not responsible for alquida & not responsible for islamice terror - this "STUFF" is responsible for 99% of all scientific breakthroughs & the development of modern culture - so blow it out your arsse
@rentatrip1 Uh, yeah, religion is responsible for scientific advancement. This is precisely why, up until recently, the Catholic church denied that the Earth went round the sun. Yes, very scientific.
I love how so many of you who are non-theists have expressed a view that all religious people are superstitious, closed minded, judgmental and a good few of you have accused religious people of forcing belief on others, have also insisted on abolishing religion which is therefore choosing to be closed minded, rude, and judgmental. That my darlings makes you hypocrites. On another note, the weather in NYC today sucks just as much as your ability to be objective.
@PrezLeefun When was the last time America had a president who didn't claim to be religious because doing otherwise would outrage the American electorate? If telling the most powerful man in the world, and therefore the rest of his populace, that he has to believe some piece of ancient Middle-Eastern cack about a beardy man in the sky who watches you like someone drilling holes in the women's lavatory or he's out of a job isn't 'forcing religion down people's throats' then I don't know what is.
@leaguesmanoframsgate I was pointing out the hypocrisy of those wishing to abolish religion. That was the only purpose of my post. This is not about Americans or individual beliefs of politicians.
Can you be called intelligent when your a Christian when your whole belief system is based on an invisable man in the sky who watches over us?.....Seems if your religious your very core has become retarded.
kind of disappointed that people with soo much intelligence have no faith or belief of something gr8er than them, especially the one that created them.
cause you kind off posed the same question that the teachers of the law asked jesus when he threw everything out of the temple.........so the question i ask you is... what right do you have to ask me this question?
@ruelSbaker Apart from that story probably never actually happened because there would be records of it outside the bible as these were widely written about and a disturbance at such a big venue would be known, regardless the point is you judge these people for not having gullibility to believe in something without evidence in such a condescending way it's ridiculous. Believe what ever ridiculous fairy tale you want to, but to look at them and think of them as ignorant is laughable.
im on a role with finding people who tink they are the superiors in the universe. how gullible ehh
the reason why there are things that cant be explained is because you need to have something called FAITH to accept this religion, you cant just believe everything cause you can do it.
GOD's suppose to be greater than everything in the universe and not as equal as you!!
the laugh here is your mental capability to only believe what you see or what Qi tells you.
@ruelSbaker How convenient a being who doesn't exist or manifest himself in reality needs to be believed through gullibility and belief without evidence, Why do you revere faith over evidence? no the laugh here is indeed on you, the person who not only claims such a being exists without evidence but judges people who don't believe in something with no evidence and acts in a condescending manner, Sorry I only believe what can be demonstrated to exist reason and logic are such a burden..
the whole reason you exist is cause he manifests himself in you!!!!
i rever faith over evidence cause in the bible ( you would know this if you had an interest) there are facts to back up everything that has occured. just cause it was long ago in the past that no1 had a camera to record it doesnt make it soo unbelievable
its not hard to believe what is right infront of your face, religiion is based on the next life not this.
maybe one day you'll understand wat a miracle is like.
@ruelSbaker The whole reason I exist is cause my dad stuck his penis in my mums vagina, Why do you doubt Hinduism? why do you doubt Islam? why do you doubt Buddhism? Just because they didn't have cameras to record what they saw doesn't mean it didn't happen right? We have ways of determining fact from fiction for example radiometric dating placing the age of the world at 4 billion years old, not 6,000... organized layer of strata and a fossil record that disprove A world wide flood. etc.. etc..
hmmm well your dad made the first mistake there if he knew you were coming out!!
these same questions i can ask you by saying, why dont you believe any of them??
the reason i dont is coz there is truth to mine, those that i can relate to my life and actually live it.
i live in a muslim country and the highest pipulation here is indians (which is hiindus) so i do know more than you in every1 of these religions to make my statement.
@ruelSbaker The reason I don't believe in any of them is because there's no evidence supporting any of them it's all people trying to understand the universe around them without any knowledge of it, It's answers to questions without research it's making up the answer, for authoritative purposes. It doesn't matter if you're the only Christian in a country that doesn't lend any credence to your doctrine.
i find it quite weird that you have gone through ur whole life although you have read the bible especially new testament and have not once felt like anything relates to you.......my doctrine would no make any sense to you coz you would never believe, we all start of as non believers doing the things that makes us seem kool and popular and etc, i grew out of that stage when i realsed that life isnt just about me!!!
or just people trying to live their lives...............
@ruelSbaker I never thought life was just about me, I have learned that my actions have impact on other peoples life so I think to myself how would I like to be treated in the same situation and that's how I base my life thinking of what's best for humanity in general rather than what's good for the individual that teaching was around long before Jesus it's called the golden rule. billions of other people claim the same faith you do in their own gods whether it's Janists Hindu's Buddhists etc..
and in the bible your same though is said as *do to others what you would like them to do for you*
everything you will ever think of in ur life is there, hopefully one day you will realise that religion is not based on fear but on love and compassion for others and for the one greater than us
@ruelSbaker I already told you that it was a well established philosophy stolen by your religion read my whole comment please? It's the golden rule of Confucius.
ok i know you really dont know how religion works, and you defi seem like the person who doesnt question how everything starts, but what makes you seem realli dum here is when your defi willing to believe what another person who is as equal says to you, than some1 who has the power over everything in the world.
@ruelSbaker Okay and this is where the conversation ends Isn't it convenient how there are men appointed like the pope or other religious leaders who speak on behalf of god? what a shame this all powerful creator of everything can't spend a few minutes to address us all publicly and let us know he exists. You rely on men telling you what god said, the bible was written by men, the only reason you know god is through men and you belittle what men can achieve. You are the epitome of ignorance.
hahahaha yet everything you know till date, has been on facts and reliance of others across the world
nothing you know is of your own knowledge!!
thank goodness it ends here but back to the fact where if you read the bible
he came down from heaven to earth to show us the way, he will come again later.......right now life is a test for those who believe an those who dont, this is why you reading it is pointless, you read something which your too young or foolish to understand
@ruelSbaker "But I tell you that anyone who is angry with a brother or sister[a][b] will be subject to judgment. Again, anyone who says to a brother or sister, ‘Raca,’ is answerable to the court. And anyone who says, ‘You fool!’ will be in danger of the fire of hell." - Matthew 5:22 have fun in hell. I can demonstrate anything they say I can view the evidence for myself and so can you.
and yet after knowing soo much you are able to only take the teachings of respecting one another and not the ones of some1 GR8 who has set rules as these rules for us to abide by??
how do you do something like that.......i never had any doubt i was going to hell, ive not done anything to proove that im worth the kingdom of GOD, but im happy knowing that although im the worst of the lot, i picked the right side than being the best and not realising who made him like that.
@ruelSbaker "i never had any doubt i was going to hell" - you think you are so bad so unworthy that you deserve eternal damnation and suffering how pathetic, you truly are disgusting I hope you never have children so you don't poison their minds with this utter trash.
@ruelSbaker "i rever faith over evidence cause in the bible ( you would know this if you had an interest) there are facts to back up everything that has occured." - Faith is unquestioning faith without evidence, if there were facts and evidence to back up the things happening you wouldn't need faith because you would be justified in your belief that is a completely contradictory statement. You can have whatever beliefs you want no matter how ridiculous but why judge those who disbelieve?
well there are basic facts that the things that have occured are true, but then there are people who need more than just some1s words to it, thus the word FAITH
judging those who disbelief, it works the same way how y'all think we are foolish for believing we see it vice versa.
and well you could say that you believe in something that exists and can be seen, but we believe in the bible and soo far no1 can challenge to write a book that comparesto it and we say it is writeen by GOD.
@ruelSbaker Basic facts like what? again why is faith something to be revered it's belief without evidence you could have faith in fairies is that good? by whose standard is your bible better than any other holy book? your holy book is disgusting and immoral by my standards condoning rape and genocide and slavery. And if its written by your god then he has no idea how the world actually works or how it was started or how old it is.
have you even read the bible before, you talk like you are perfect of beings, like the problems you face no book can ever know about, you look at one part of the bible which im guessing you have watched of some video and you judge ( ur worse off than i am...im worse of for having this pointless arguement with you) i judge people as ordinary as me, you judge something that is greater than you because your are not capable to understand it..
@ruelSbaker Yes I've read old and new testament I've read the mormon doctrines I've read the Koran and other holy books how many have you read? I don't believe your god exists and I judge his character as I would judge any character in any books character by his actions, human life is anything but ordinary you have no pride you rely no something being a higher authority then you, grow up.
and you rely soley based on nothing greater than what you are, as a child did you no obey everything your parents said?? they were greater than you??? if not, well then there should be no value for any1 elses life than yours (in your world) right? and every1 else prob feels the same about you so from 7billion people in this world ur practically nothing, and yeh you have read the koran( quite hard to believe).
@ruelSbaker My parents are actually here I can talk to them I can see them they offer actual help in situations god will never help you pay your bills god will never teach you how to ride your bike god has a plan for you and it's already set out if you dare doubt his existence he will torture you for eternity. Human life is not insignificant human life is great we are the universe able to understand itself. My parents were not greater than me we are equal the bond is reciprocal.
LETS SAY THAT YOU DID BELIEVE IN A GOD.....ur telling me that your actually gona ask for his help to pay your fucking bills??? or to help you id e a bike, he gave you a fucking brain!!! 2 of everything (including ur legs) for you to ask him to help you ride a bike????
and if your parents were equal they would not have had a say in those first 18 to 20years of your life..now dont say its coz u were yung, in gods eyes your still a kid until you die of old age!!
Omg stephen fry if there is a god it must be you ....

I agree with Mr Fry's view, believe what you wish but do not try and tell anyone else how to live... If more people felt like this there might be less conflict in the world.

As a friend of mine pointed out (who is an atheist) if he gets to heaven and god asks him to explain his sins he'll say 'well you made me'.
StunnedByStupidity 6 months ago
@StunnedByStupidity I feel similarly. If I arrive at the pearly white gates and am asked "Why didst thou not believe in the almighty God?" my reply will be "I used the gifts of logic and reason and concluded that there was no evidence for your existence. You cannot fault me for correctly using what you gave freely to me". I will gladly rescind my nonbelief if shown conflicting evidence; but only if said evidence is irrefutable and immutable.
thecommabandit 5 months ago 4
@thecommabandit if i get to heaven the first thing I'll ask is: "What the flying fuck are you doing in heaven you demented psycho?"
wardzer 5 months ago
@thecommabandit Yup. "Sorry. Called it like I saw it. So do I get in or not?" Questions about the music available, etc., can wait.
Zimbrabim 5 months ago
@thecommabandit I think whoever wrote or collate the bible had predicted that argument and therefore put the Adam and Eve story the way it is, so that they can tell you it's your fault for stealing the fruit of knowledge and therefore possessing knowledge that doesn't belong to you..

What I really like about this is that when I changed my mind about my religion and stopped believing it, I really did think, 'Whoah, that was mad, I thought that was true for a minute'.
So it does happen. :)

Your friendly neighbourhood Atheist,
Troy
TroyTransistor 6 months ago 82
@TroyTransistor There's another bit though, Romans or Revelations ? (sorry) about how god will curse, er, doubters? those with odd socks? laundrey workers? Something. Anyway, he will cause them to sin, man lying with man, so that they're even more deserving of the hellfire he's already condemned them to. Talk about twisted logic, that's truly the justification/rationlisation of a sociopath.
queenastilon 6 months ago
@queenastilon the entire thing is stupid imho. It's a book written nearly two thousand years ago, it can't possibly still apply to culture today- it advocates slavery, sexism, and general prejudice while also claiming to have a belief of "judge not lest ye be judged."
TroyTransistor 6 months ago 7
@TroyTransistor amen! ...lol. can't say i've done more than touch a bible a few times, but i sure do agree with what you said :)
rayechayelle1 5 months ago
@TroyTransistor It's not the sin part that offends people.
It's the caving in of the head that people don't like.
NoWitnessesNoRegrets 3 months ago
@TroyTransistor Yeah, but where it says that you should stone them is not a mistranslation. Whether or not homosexuality is a sin or an abomination, it still reads pretty blatantly that homosexuals ARE to be put harm upon. Now, must christians have abolished this bronze age view of being gay, but those who perhaps already have a deal with gay people can find an excuse in the bible to hate on gays. It's pathetic.
MorrowindGamer 2 months ago
@TroyTransistor the word abomination is the strongest word the bible uses, it's the same word it uses to describe child sacrifice, (Jeremiah 32:35) stealing, murder, and adultery (Jeremiah 7:9,10)
Just sayin

@HopeIsFleeting Is that why it describes menstrual blood as an abomination?
No, the word means 'unclean', as in 'liable to transmit disease'.
KapStuf 1 month ago
@KapStuf FFS. Tōʻēḇā and Shiqquwts are different words, both have been wrongly translated to mean abomination, Tōʻēḇā means loathsome i.e homosexuality the other (Shiqquwts) means unclean i.e menstrual blood.
Do i have to explain further?

Some tribes ate their enemies, other humans, to digest mana in its purest form. Mana gave them their strength, agility and spirit. All words later adopted by roleplaying games.
As for religion, if God can do anything, He can create an object so heavy that he can't lift it, which is quite the paradox for any supposed can-do-everything diety.
Dextline 7 months ago
@Dextline And it's said that the devil is father of paradox which means that god is the devil which means that I'd rather stay away from heaven, god's domain, if I can. =P

BowieQueenSnape 7 months ago
@MrBlackGuy95 It includes this quote: I genuinely believe we are born with a moral compass and we don’t need it reset every Sunday morning by some weird-beard communist in a dress. I am, as you may have gathered, completely unreligious, but it doesn’t stop me trying to be kind to others, and I’m never completely overwhelmed with a need to murder madmen in pulpits. as an agnostic i'd say that's a bit harsh
religion isn't necerssarily bad. it's all about how you use it
e.g the way martin luther king used it to protest peacefully against violence (the most succesful protest i know) or faith healers the most evil people on the planet.
mynameisrudi 8 months ago
@mynameisrudi Well, that depends on what you mean by bad. However, religion, on the whole, is detrimental to rational thought and action and that can't be good for the progress of human civilization. I hate the way that whenever a video discussing religion arises, a flurry of hating insues. Can we not appreciate this video for what it is? a brilliant clip of a brilliant program.
geoboy333 9 months ago
@geoboy333 It's a topic of debate, we should be discussing it rather than just taking the video as gospel, which is ironically exactly what the video is saying is stupid. What we should be doing is not being total pricks about the debate. If you can't convince someone of your point of view, there's something wrong with your argument, whether it's you or the topic. Being douchey at them won't convince them anymore.

That my darlings makes you hypocrites. On another note, the weather in NYC today sucks just as much as your ability to be objective.
PrezLeefun 9 months ago
@PrezLeefun When was the last time America had a president who didn't claim to be religious because doing otherwise would outrage the American electorate? If telling the most powerful man in the world, and therefore the rest of his populace, that he has to believe some piece of ancient Middle-Eastern cack about a beardy man in the sky who watches you like someone drilling holes in the women's lavatory or he's out of a job isn't 'forcing religion down people's throats' then I don't know what is.

jaz88pa 10 months ago
@jaz88pa
im guessing your an athiest yourself,
cause you kind off posed the same question that the teachers of the law asked jesus when he threw everything out of the temple.........so the question i ask you is... what right do you have to ask me this question?
ruelSbaker 10 months ago
@ruelSbaker Apart from that story probably never actually happened because there would be records of it outside the bible as these were widely written about and a disturbance at such a big venue would be known, regardless the point is you judge these people for not having gullibility to believe in something without evidence in such a condescending way it's ridiculous. Believe what ever ridiculous fairy tale you want to, but to look at them and think of them as ignorant is laughable.
ronocko 10 months ago
@ronocko
another athiest -_-
im on a role with finding people who tink they are the superiors in the universe. how gullible ehh
the reason why there are things that cant be explained is because you need to have something called FAITH to accept this religion, you cant just believe everything cause you can do it.
GOD's suppose to be greater than everything in the universe and not as equal as you!!
the laugh here is your mental capability to only believe what you see or what Qi tells you.
ruelSbaker 10 months ago
@ruelSbaker How convenient a being who doesn't exist or manifest himself in reality needs to be believed through gullibility and belief without evidence, Why do you revere faith over evidence? no the laugh here is indeed on you, the person who not only claims such a being exists without evidence but judges people who don't believe in something with no evidence and acts in a condescending manner, Sorry I only believe what can be demonstrated to exist reason and logic are such a burden..
ronocko 10 months ago
@ronocko
the whole reason you exist is cause he manifests himself in you!!!!
i rever faith over evidence cause in the bible ( you would know this if you had an interest) there are facts to back up everything that has occured. just cause it was long ago in the past that no1 had a camera to record it doesnt make it soo unbelievable
its not hard to believe what is right infront of your face, religiion is based on the next life not this.
maybe one day you'll understand wat a miracle is like.
ruelSbaker 10 months ago
@ruelSbaker The whole reason I exist is cause my dad stuck his penis in my mums vagina, Why do you doubt Hinduism? why do you doubt Islam? why do you doubt Buddhism? Just because they didn't have cameras to record what they saw doesn't mean it didn't happen right? We have ways of determining fact from fiction for example radiometric dating placing the age of the world at 4 billion years old, not 6,000... organized layer of strata and a fossil record that disprove A world wide flood. etc.. etc..
ronocko 10 months ago
@ronocko
hmmm well your dad made the first mistake there if he knew you were coming out!!
these same questions i can ask you by saying, why dont you believe any of them??
the reason i dont is coz there is truth to mine, those that i can relate to my life and actually live it.
i live in a muslim country and the highest pipulation here is indians (which is hiindus) so i do know more than you in every1 of these religions to make my statement.
ruelSbaker 10 months ago
@ruelSbaker The reason I don't believe in any of them is because there's no evidence supporting any of them it's all people trying to understand the universe around them without any knowledge of it, It's answers to questions without research it's making up the answer, for authoritative purposes. It doesn't matter if you're the only Christian in a country that doesn't lend any credence to your doctrine.
ronocko 10 months ago
@ronocko
i find it quite weird that you have gone through ur whole life although you have read the bible especially new testament and have not once felt like anything relates to you.......my doctrine would no make any sense to you coz you would never believe, we all start of as non believers doing the things that makes us seem kool and popular and etc, i grew out of that stage when i realsed that life isnt just about me!!!
or just people trying to live their lives...............
ruelSbaker 10 months ago
@ruelSbaker I never thought life was just about me, I have learned that my actions have impact on other peoples life so I think to myself how would I like to be treated in the same situation and that's how I base my life thinking of what's best for humanity in general rather than what's good for the individual that teaching was around long before Jesus it's called the golden rule. billions of other people claim the same faith you do in their own gods whether it's Janists Hindu's Buddhists etc..
ronocko 10 months ago
@ronocko
and in the bible your same though is said as *do to others what you would like them to do for you*
everything you will ever think of in ur life is there, hopefully one day you will realise that religion is not based on fear but on love and compassion for others and for the one greater than us
ruelSbaker 10 months ago
@ruelSbaker I already told you that it was a well established philosophy stolen by your religion read my whole comment please? It's the golden rule of Confucius.
ronocko 10 months ago

ok i know you really dont know how religion works, and you defi seem like the person who doesnt question how everything starts, but what makes you seem realli dum here is when your defi willing to believe what another person who is as equal says to you, than some1 who has the power over everything in the world.
ruelSbaker 10 months ago
@ruelSbaker Okay and this is where the conversation ends Isn't it convenient how there are men appointed like the pope or other religious leaders who speak on behalf of god? what a shame this all powerful creator of everything can't spend a few minutes to address us all publicly and let us know he exists. You rely on men telling you what god said, the bible was written by men, the only reason you know god is through men and you belittle what men can achieve. You are the epitome of ignorance.
ronocko 10 months ago
@ronocko
hahahaha yet everything you know till date, has been on facts and reliance of others across the world
nothing you know is of your own knowledge!!
thank goodness it ends here but back to the fact where if you read the bible
he came down from heaven to earth to show us the way, he will come again later.......right now life is a test for those who believe an those who dont, this is why you reading it is pointless, you read something which your too young or foolish to understand
ruelSbaker 10 months ago
@ruelSbaker "But I tell you that anyone who is angry with a brother or sister[a][b] will be subject to judgment. Again, anyone who says to a brother or sister, ‘Raca,’ is answerable to the court. and look at the man who rebukes him on the otherside of jesus, and since you have read the bible before remind yourself what jesus sed.
anyways dont post anything else, this is going nowhere. take care
ruelSbaker 10 months ago
@ruelSbaker I dont think anyone deserves eternal damnation least of all for the supposed sin of not believing something exists.
ronocko 10 months ago
@ruelSbaker "i rever faith over evidence cause in the bible ( you would know this if you had an interest) there are facts to back up everything that has occured." - Faith is unquestioning faith without evidence, if there were facts and evidence to back up the things happening you wouldn't need faith because you would be justified in your belief that is a completely contradictory statement. You can have whatever beliefs you want no matter how ridiculous but why judge those who disbelieve?
ronocko 10 months ago
@ronocko
well there are basic facts that the things that have occured are true, but then there are people who need more than just some1s words to it, thus the word FAITH
judging those who disbelief, it works the same way how y'all think we are foolish for believing we see it vice versa.
and well you could say that you believe in something that exists and can be seen, but we believe in the bible and soo far no1 can challenge to write a book that comparesto it and we say it is writeen by GOD.
ruelSbaker 10 months ago
@ruelSbaker Basic facts like what? again why is faith something to be revered it's belief without evidence you could have faith in fairies is that good? by whose standard is your bible better than any other holy book? your holy book is disgusting and immoral by my standards condoning rape and genocide and slavery. And if its written by your god then he has no idea how the world actually works or how it was started or how old it is.
ronocko 10 months ago
@ronocko
have you even read the bible before, you talk like you are perfect of beings, like the problems you face no book can ever know about, you look at one part of the bible which im guessing you have watched of some video and you judge ( ur worse off than i am...im worse of for having this pointless arguement with you) i judge people as ordinary as me, you judge something that is greater than you because your are not capable to understand it..
ruelSbaker 10 months ago
@ruelSbaker Yes I've read old and new testament I've read the mormon doctrines I've read the Koran and other holy books how many have you read? I don't believe your god exists and I judge his character as I would judge any character in any books character by his actions, human life is anything but ordinary you have no pride you rely no something being a higher authority then you, grow up.
ronocko 10 months ago
@ronocko
and you rely soley based on nothing greater than what you are, as a child did you no obey everything your parents said?? they were greater than you??? if not, well then there should be no value for any1 elses life than yours (in your world) right? and every1 else prob feels the same about you so from 7billion people in this world ur practically nothing, and yeh you have read the koran( quite hard to believe).
