  • Dang. I bought a nail fungus treatment from CVS for about $5.00. It worked in like 2-3 weeks. Ridiculous.

  • "fake nails"

    Well that's your first problem.

  • @flair4hair760 I'm not arguing that bacteria don't cause nail problems as well. I am saying that fungi and bacteria are not at all the same micro-organism. Go open a science textbook.

  • i love that little giggle she made when Judge Millian said to her "Welcome to America" so sweet

  • 3:03 When she said she lived in London, the blonde girl behind her:)

  • That shifty boy in the crowd "wherever you have an opening that's moist..."

    I bet he'd know about that! : D

  • Fungus cases always happens in salons especially the dingy Asian ones, because they often reuse tools or not effectively clean the tubs after each person's use, so yes ladies you are getting all that dead skin, some blood, oils, and other body fluids in that tub. Its fine to do it occasional, but not every week, and if you do pay the extra bucks to go to a clean place.

  • LOL @ 5:05. I like the girl's "logic" when Harvey asks, "Can the plaintiff get a fungus the way she's describing?" "No; I don't think she can, because I've done my nails before and that's never happened to me."

  • several fingers on one hand and several fingers on the other? we dont have 14 fingers judge..

  • @JeanNoelzz what are you talking about? several doesn't mean seven....

  • @toribjork10 it does? like couple means 2, and dozen means 12...

  • @JeanNoelzz yes, a couple does mean 2 and a dozen does mean 12, but several does not mean 7. several has no specific amount, so it could mean 2, 3, 4, 5.... i'm assuming english is not your first language, so hopefully that helps you out.

  • @toribjork10 No, im just English, with my mother as an English teacher. Over here we go by the term of several meaning 7. I'm assuming you're American so hopefully that helps you out.

  • @JeanNoelzz well, i'm going by webster's defintion of the word. various colloquialisms (in England or America) aren't proper meanings. serveral simply means "seperate pieces" another definition provided in the same dictionary says "more than 2 but not many", therefore it can stand for any number. it DOES NOT mean seven exclusively. that's why you criticizing the judge in the clip for using it in what you think was the wrong way was an error on your part. she used the word correctly.

  • Trust women to make a federal production out of finger nails.

  • Yet another reason not to get stripper nails.

  • This is why I don't do my nails, I don't even paint them lmao.

  • lol you can buy ani fungal medication at wallmart for 10 bucks over the counter

  • Nail fungus is caused from bacteria getting under the nail...not from water. It's caused when bacteria seeps under the nail, gets trapped and then starts to spread. Dirty implements were more than likely the cause. Fungus is so contagious and it is illegal (in most states) for a salon to perform any service with a client that has it.

  • @flair4hair760 for your information, fungi are NOT bacteria. These are two entirely different classes of micro-organisms. Moist environments like water getting caught under the nails are in fact conducive to fungal growth and infection.

  • @pikapika1 Read a fucking cosmetology text book. Bacteria is what causes nail problems.

  • white girls in the audience were all satisfied at 3:00 that they figured out the black girl was from England lol.

  • welcome to America.. yup its fun to get fungus when you arrive into America

  • 90$ dollars for medicine????? how do you people live?!

  • The judge can't demand to get it from Canada however it is the smarter solution as she is not stating the price from a rare store but the average listing of various Canadian stores, if your wondering why the cost is so high, if she was on Medicare she'd only be paying about 20 bucks for it, where in Canada universal health care brings the cost down to pretty much wholesale cost

  • You're going to get a fungus if you wait too long to get filled in. You shouldn't wait more than 2 weeks. So if she waited 18 days, it might be her fault.

  • Wait did she just said..."buy it in Canada"? And " Welcome to America"? Wtf????! What a rip off advise from a judge.

  • Well there goes my idea of getting my nails done for the first time!

  • Guy: So you think it's possible to get fungus?

    Chick: No

    Guy: Why's that?

Chick: 'Cause I've done my nails before and that nevers happen to me!

    /facepalm

    Women these days...

  • Just throwing this out there...but if you wear fake nails longer than 2-3 weeks, you are risking getting a possible fungal infection on your nails...water can and does get in and around edges..and the fact that salons offer fills proves this. everytime you shower, wash your hands, do dishes ETC., you are very likely trapping water between the fake and the actual nail.

  • Ladies, for God's sake do your own nails! ALL nail salons are ripoffs.

  • BAD, BAD advice Judge. You do not buy your meds from the internet at 45% of cost. If every place is charging $170 and you find a place that is charging $90, there is a reason for it, and its not because someone feels bad about the high mark up.

  • @MrKevMan yea the reason why it costs more is because of the drug companies

  • Yay Canadian medication! :D

  • HAIR DONE NAILS DONE? EVERYTHING BIG...oh you FANCY HUH???

  • I work in a pharmacy and see way too many fungal nails from nail salons to ever go there myself. Stay away, people!

  • @lullabyrequiem I am a guy and of course, unlike them girls, I don't have to do all of that (THANK GOD!). But I am wondering, do you ladies feel pain or pressure when that is applied on. Looks like a painful job to me.

  • @Desi4evah lol. no.

  • So how can the fungus present in just one day? I don't think she got it at the salon. although the salon treatment could have aggrevated it.

  • The defendant literally got NAILED :P

  • I look at some pictures of me when I was a kid and use to wear fake nails..a hot ass mess is what they where.. I use to get them long hot pink with a hump.. they look like pink pelician beaks

  • "welcome to America" pahahahahaha

  • Is the defendant Chinese or is she not? I'm confused, 'cause all her colleagues are Chinese, she sounds Chinese but she doesn't really look Chinese lol

  • 3:03 - Blonde in pink thinks it's funny that the plaintiff is from London. Probably because she has a weird ass accent and they were trying to guess. xD

  • I quote Adam Green "Hard to be a girl, so nice to be a boy." ;)

  • Lisend to this fake ass Jamaican trying to speak British. Sell out bamboclauk gal..

  • @9meter: If her family spoke with jamacian accents, and she was brought up in london. She would have a mixture of the two accents. that's a fact

  • @ghettoSPLATTER Exactly! My family was Austrian and all her life my Mom spoke with a "mixture" accent. I think people who do not live in England forget small though the Island is, there are many, many regional accents to be added into the mix (other than children born in one country and raised here)

  • @9meter what if she was raised in England - would she NOT have a British accent...think before you post . . .

  • whoa today is October 7th

    Happy Fungiversary!

  • I wonder how many dicks Harvey Levin sucked that morning?

  • YOU SOUND LIKE YOU'RE FROM LONDON!!! :D

  • Question: WHY .... or rather HOW does Judge Marilyn know all this stuff about nails?

  • @Elzebub666 im pretty sure she gets her nails done also.

  • I don't agree 100% with this ruling. I am a long time acyrlic nail wearer and have experienced fungi invections. The salon is respondsible but that lady has a lot to do with the care of her nails.

  • @dsweet030030 I used to get my nails done and people always told me that I could get fungus from that. Also, they DO last anywhere from a week to a month, not automatically 3 weeks. Mine used last a week most times. what a pain.

  • sounds like miss swan

  • man i dont get the appeal of fake salon nails anyway. just trim ur nails and move on.

  • @darkpirategirl Haha I think fake nails are silly too...But it's an example of how lots of women actually try to impress other women instead of guys, because men don't really notice women's nails but girls do

  • @darkpirategirl i love it because my girlfriend scratches my back when she gets nails

  • @darkpirategirl Chicks just love tp spend cash on useless crap, they get brainwashed from the tv early on to be good consumers

  • @darkpirategirl Or bite them.

  • "BUY IT from the INTERNET in CANADA" lol . . . .

  • @cptricard yay canada lmao

  • "I done (sic) my nails before and I (sic) never happened to me"

What an intelligent statement! So of course, if it never happened to YOU, then it can't possibly happen to anyone else.....

  • gross

  • do people in london say the dates " 9-21?" lol

  • NO we dont. 21/09/??

  • I've always thought fake nails looked a bit weird.

  • Is the plaintiff south african or australian? I can't place her accent.

  • @cannibalgourmet She actually sounds like my aunt who lived her young life in Jamaica and her grown up life in the UK.

  • @cannibalgourmet she sounds kind of like shes from barbados or jamaica

  • She's not British anyway. I've never heard a Brit say 'ten eight' instead of 24th October/ October 24th. I think she's from somewhere in Africa, and learnt English from an English person.

  • i think so too. but i actually thought she was filipino... lol

  • ccpts

Erm ,...I am not being funny....but... you can not back up she aint British because your defence is " i never heard of a brit say 10 8" you need to get your facts and sources right before you start speculating...

  • your a complete dumbass

  • yall really need to do something more useful with your time lol... and really not take the internet so seriously....

  • I LAV YOU LAWNG TIE

  • why thank you camilleri63 :-)

see boys and girls this is how you act civilized on the internet ;-)

  • ok well that is not funny and was not wanting to offend, however your name is not a "i have to take medication" name it is a "i like to party name" things are taken at face value online. Again I meant no offense and sorry you have to take medication.

  • I probably would have jumped to the wrong conclusion about LittleDrugAddict's name too until they explained they have to take medication to live. But I think you were gracious to apologise - you don't see that very often on here, so kudos to you.

  • i dont get why the womean said no she couldnt get fungus.

    its so possible

  • Yeah, you can buy stuff online. but, be careful they are legit.

  • wow i didnt know u can legally buy medications from canada i have to look into that

  • why couldnt you, we're not a third world country

  • Thanks for posting :-)

  • bacterial, fungal, viral ....

if this was a problem with an eye, this woman could now be blind through a bad diagnosis, then who would be suing who?

  • it would be bacterial, a true fungus needs a test (results can take about a week), the client buffed her own nails, failed to return in time .......

More than likely it's the clients fault, typical of litigious happy Americans that don't take responsibility for their own actions (no disrepect, but still typical).

A true professional knows that an infill depends on the nail growth.

The bacerial infection was not in all nails, it's 50/50 , I bet it was in the fingers that she uses the most.

  • The plantiff isn't American, she is British. As well as she stated she was NOT told to return in 10-15 days (Ive had Acrylics for years &never gone back for fills sooner than 3 weeks, I usually go monthly. In fact once I couldn't go for 2 months due to being out of town for medical treatment &had no problems with fungus). It isn't unheard of that a nail tech has made a mistake. It also isn't unheard of that tools are not kept sanitary. It happens. Don't be so quick to blame the non-professional

  • no, she's not british, she's english. when someone says they're from london which is in england, they're english.

    hollyy

  • England is part of Great Britain. Anyone who is English is also British.

  • technically

but it's innapropriate and insulting to call them brits over english

thatd be like calling yanks, north american instead of american or yankee.

when someone says theyre from london you call them english before british

    thats how it works

  • Calling a U.S. citizen "North American" is not insulting in any way, because it is the correct term for someone who lives in North America. Likewise British is the correct term for someone living in the United Kingdom of Great Britain. It is not a matter of "first" or "second". You can be English, British, and European equally, at the same time. Your comment that she is "not British" is simply not correct.

Also, the terms "yank" and "yankee" are derogatory in the context you have used them.

  • calling an american a yankee is derogatory idiot, calling an english person a brit is. no one wants to be called a brit just like no canadian wants to be called north american or be associated with anything american.

so its more correct to call a person by their nationality which in her case is english

yank and yankee describe ameicans, they've earned it and they can kiss my ass if they dont like it

  • Noone here have called anyone a "brit" but british is certainly not an insult-.- and if nyou think it is i guess there is many other small things you are insulted by

  • good god shut up

first of all, you must live in an area with a population of 2

being called a brit is an insult

    such a typical uneducated yankee

  • i am not even a yankee and yes being called a "Brit" is insulting but its a nice question i think why you keep chaining being called british and a "brit" is so insulting

  • because it is insulting, whats so fucking difficult to understand? for the love of god

  • Noone has called you a "brit" and i have never met a english person who got insulted being called british perhabs thats just you.

  • uhm no its not just me

  • it is so funny this really upsets you. Especially with the name "littledrugaddict" which is more offensive than calling someone a "brit"

    sooo funny

  • yup because me having to take medication to survive is so hilarious :)

being called a brit is more offensive than a drugaddict to me

    such a pathetic comeback

  • Comment removed

  • The Brits have contributed far more than drug addicts loser.

  • lol learn to read dumbass :) the whole drug topic has already been talked about

  • You really think 'Brit' is insulting? It's short for British. That would be like me taking offence to being called an 'Aussie' - lol. Sorry to hear you have to take medication to survive though. Hope you're okay.

  • Yeah and i have a wooden foot to survive because a dragon ate it (Y)

  • British/English the same damn thing. Just each person has there own preference. Are you actually from England because if you was you should know that already.
