Shouldn't you be thanking those who killed your lord? Because had they not killed him, you wouldn't have your salvation right? The reason you mock those with faith is to reinforce your own beliefs, and to make yourself feel better. By mocking believers and finding fellow athiests you can comfort yourself that you aren't alone in your depressing, nihilistic worldview. Instead of looking to a deity for comfort, you look to the camraderie of mockery of others beliefs for comfort.
In short, you're just a sad animal like the rest of the sad animals on this globe. Grow the fuck up.
I personally think the reason we atheists "mock" believers is because having a five hour debate, a year-long e-mail ping pong, a ten page essay, etc. are all a waste of time. Rarely, if ever, will a believer de-convert as a result. It's a one way street.
