it's for terminally ill pt. they are in a lot of pain and they know they are going to die eventually so they want to end their life as fast and painless as they can through assisted suicide. it is the patient's choice, not yours!
@ laurajdahl you can try to make them happy, fine. but you can't take away the pain. just imagine yourself having a really painful toothache then multiply that by 1000x. well for these patients that pain is not going to go away, all the doctors can do is up the dose of analgesics higher and higher. but all that will do is make their condition even worse. you see, it's not that simple. you can't just call people greedy.

But WHY do they want to die??? HAPPY people DON'T want to die!! Perhaps if we could make their life, or what's left of it better than they wouldn't want to die until it was their time??
