No, it's a safe in the movie. We just had to use a suitcase so it'd be easier to toss! But I definitely recommend seeing the movie. It's great!

Yeah. Our teacher set out a bunch of books like Jane Eyre, The Lovely Bones, The Nuclear Age, The Life of Pi, etc. and each group had to choose a set to read. We ended up with The Lovely Bones.

Yeah, that's true. We weren't being very AP when we did that. But there were follow up projects and such, so I guess that's where the "higher learning" methods came in. :P

I was dissapointed with the start as I always thought of it not as tragic, but sad and with a touch of naivety which was what intrigued me about the book. Such a brutal incident mixed in with naivety was so different.

However, the rest was well put together and seemed to encapsulate the mood well. Good job, can't wait for this film. :)

I just think it's tragic when anyone so young and innocent dies, but I see where you're coming from. It's almost tranquil in a way since Susie is in heaven when the book begins and has already accepted what has happened to her.

Oh I agree, but the novel is focused around Susie and I don't think she thinks its a tragedy. What I mean is the way it is written seems very naive and innocent. Yeah, I agree, I think she does seem tranquil and at peace.

For one thing we filmed this during May haha. Not very winter like. Also, we couldn't be completely accurate with everything. There was no tunnel available, and we couldn't exactly portray the whole death/rape scene very well anyway.

Yeah, I know. We just didn't really have the time to weave that whole aspect of the story into this tiny project. It would have confused the people in our class who hadn't read it. ;)
