@jetmanengland20 It is true that some civilians have joined the Taliban and Al Qaeda because of mistakes or mistreatment by troops from all countries. I'm not saying it's ok, it's one of the worst things in any war, much less a war where the enemy hides among the civilian population. The Taliban massacred and starved the Afghan people while they were in power prior to 2001. The collapse of our once great nation will be internal. The foundation has been chipped away for decades.

The Taliban are Islamic extremists that took power in the mid to late 90's and had brief backing by the US and until they started killing unarmed civilians and incorporation a very strict form of Shia law.
