Haha, I just saw some for the first time today. My sister bought 2 and I finally got to meet them and they were in their tube and they made that noise. I was seriously freaked out. Sounded like a damn car that wouldn't start.
Tony you are one sick son of a bitch. Why let die off in a park... Give it to somone who isn't in a mental hospital mother fucker . The Chinese are like heroes considered to you. Feeding an animal alchohol.
Bottom line is, Sugar gliders are a pain in the ass to bond with.. It's just months and months of calm assertive handling. And they do bite blood and bite often. They also love to bite (or nip) where and when you least expect it. However, I hear it's easier with babies from good breeders. And when they FINALLY do start bonding, its pretty neat.
@southernrachel Yeah, that's true.. I've heard some say they never had a single nip, while others (like me) got many bites.. They are well bonded now however, and I haven't been bitten in months, they will still bite strangers though : )
i'm rescuing a pair of suggies because of people like you that think it's funny to get them and make them CRAB, not GROWL.... it makes me absolutely sick to see how mistreated these poor things are...
I had one that was possessed. It was a baby and would bite and nip every chance he had. I showed him nothing but love for 90 days and still it would bite HARD. Then one day I put vodka on my fingers and after the 3rd bite he learned that my fingers DO NOT taste good.
Kept him 7 months, mean, nasty, evil, little animal. His name was Taz. He's with Jesus now. I let him loose in the park.
It's called crabbing (not growling) and it can be their way of telling you they're angry or scared. In this video, it was him being pouch protective. Bonding HELPS calm that down.

@TonyMitchelldotnet Then it's a good thing for your poor sugar glider that they dont let horrible people into heaven or you'd torment him there too.
