Trilobites have given rise to spiders, woodlice and the many diversity of insects, they died out from the great mass extinction in the late permian period when all the continents were joined together to form one huge land mass surrounded by one global ocean
Fantastic writer. He really brings his subject matter to life. I'm currently reading Life, but also have Trilobite in my collection. In intend to purchase all of his books eventually because they add a spark of magic to the world.
Tell us about the trilobite, but whem is the Genus - Species mentioned? How about Flexicalymene meeki from the Ordovician period in southern Ohio, USA maybe?
So this is Richard Fortey. I just bought his book on Trilobites. And just 3 days ago he had an updated version of "Fossils: The History of Life on Earth" released. It looks simply beautiful! And I can't wait to read all his books.
That is my favorite as well.

He is amazing with his knowledge of fossilized specimens of ammonites and trilobites, I intend on getting some of his books for my 20th birthday
