my dears friends.yes its true im from costa rica and theres one guy named Nelson Hoffman,he used to have a music tv program in the 80´s and yes ,he have a copy of the original clip that we looking for but i know the guy and it almost impossible to get a copy,i will try throug his son but i tell you,its almost imposible,even he have the ¨´you and me´video by alice cooper,the real one ,but its harder to get the copy,i will do my best do try maybe God touch his soul haha,pray for it

I recall a TV performance, that I'm thinking was on Don Kershner's Rock Concert, of Benny on a darkly lit stage. I also have a cassette from some recordings done at Millbrook Studios in the early 80's, but I imagine they are the same mixes that were used for these same songs in later years.

To all concerned, If you google benny mardones into the night, you'll see that somebody on the imeem site has posted a video. While I don't see the footage shown here in the video, Benny is no doubt in the video, which makes me wonder if it is a second version, or maybe something custom created. Either way, it's still interesting to watch.

Common man that is a COMPLETE FAKE video the one you mention I know about videos and this starts with a fragnment of Mr Mister and then Chris Isaak video anc ontinues with richard Marx, I have the live Midnight Special apperance of Benny and I will continue seeking this video till the end of the world is super hard but not impossible like my belived Taxxi - Cocktail Queen promo video.

Even Benny himself cannot locate it...he and I (and his record company) have been searching for almost 2 years!!! Trust me...Time Life can't even tell us where this clip came from. The video with Chris Issak and Richard Marx in it it something someone just threw together...it has nothing to do with the original. There are 2 live performances...American Bandstand and Midnight Special!

Did you check with Universal Music Group (Polydor & MCA's parent co)? They have a channel here at youtube. Sad to hear that Time Life can't tell the artist whose song is featured in that vid where it came from. Benny could ask Graham & Russell from Air Supply where that video came from if worse comes to worse. Maybe VH1 Classic or even Much Music supplied it - who knows?!! But wow!! What a mystery!! Has to be somewhere!! Damn Time Life!! Blame Congress for that - they passed the privacy act!!

Yup...we checked EVERYWHERE. Polydor was not able to help. Time Life basically told us they don't have any info and don't bother trying to contact them again. Funny enough I was just in L.A. visiting Benny last week for 5 days. He was supposed to be opening for Air Supply at a show in Santa Clara but they had to postpone it. In any case, Air Supply would not have a clue...they read a script prepared for them. VH1 is who asked us to supply it for them...no luck yet.

Another update, I have a friend that is video editor and work for MTV and he confirm me that this video dosent even exist in their database so it will be a lil harder to find, I have a friend in Costa Rica that knows someone from the TV there and apparently this guy have a copy of the video but will see, nothing real at the moment.

Even Benny himself does not know where the original video is and does not even, in fact, have a copy of it.. (He is a personal friend) We have contacted Time Life and they basically told us "we can't help you and don't ask us again". We are trying to obtain it for the VH1 special airing at the end of March. Benny's management at his record company are trying to get their hands on it as well with no luck. Please, if anyone knows where it is, please let me know!!!!
