New Vegas is full of bugs. I think the words of an irate four star general sum up my frustration best: "It makes me want to kill!". How can Bethesda make a great game and then totally mess it up with a rush job? I want to take a Bethesda software engineer and put his or her head on the chopping block. Like in the game Skyrim, which is another Bethesda bug ridden flop.

I played the "caribbean" version of New Vegas, v1.0. Had 1-2 bugs. All quests worked fine, no texture glitches, no sound errors. Only bug I encountered is when I tried to make two guys head of the Brotherhood of Steel. Then console script commands fixed it. So it wasn't anything game breaking. I was on XP on a weaker PC. Skyrim has more bugs then a sewer pipe...
Someone please explain to me because I simply don't get it. How can a company willingly release a game that was/is THIS FUCKED up. I understand it's nearly impossible to release a game like this 100% glitch free, but good God when you can't even play the game for 10 minutes there's a serious problem! Obviously they had to have tested it and known of it's horrible glitches. It's almost like they said, "you know, fuck it! We'll just release it and fix it later."
is there some way to get that head glitch? My glitches have been like these; enemy twisting and jumping all over, character falling into some mountain, getting stuck etc...
I had a funny one yesterday when I started a new game, after sitting on the couch I put it into third person, and kept it that way when i got off the couch. I promptly took a step forwards, and fell straight through the floor.
After falling for a while, I reloaded the autosave and it spawned me over by the bed, before the Vigor Tester, however Doc was no where to be seen, nor could I actually move, or interact with anything.
That getting stuck under the rock thing happened to me one time too it pissed me off so badly because the last time I saved was so long ago and I had to do all the shit I did all over again
I cant get the Food Sanitizer at Repcom its not there also i cant do the quest i could make you care because voronica just stand infront of macramr and they dont say nothing im like wtf

First playthrough i got that shot gun from the arenas underneath New Vegas city and as soon as i got a chance to fire it it stuck onto my guys left arm wouldn't stop flailing. So now i can't use the gun and my left arm is stuck with it flailing indefinitely....-_- learn to test you game Obsidian, this isn't your first extremely buggy game.
Those arnt glitches, obsidian just gave some people superhuman powers, doc mitchell can fly and turn his head 360 degrees, the courier can walk into some stuff (sadly they didnt give the courier the power to get out of them), they gave that guy the power of sitting on an imaginairy chair and that dog has a trick of walking backwards as if it seems he is walking forward. :P
One time (it was the crossing lake between the Legion and NCR), I found a lakelurk and I had Arcade as a companion. Being a retard companion he fell into the water attempting to shoot him. They both swam after each other until they met up. STOOD on the water, and began "dancing". I swear this game is so fun XD

haha doc mitchel. Theres other bugs i found like randomly when i go to helios one lady gibsons dogs randomly spawn at this door and im like wtf??or in the helios one court yard area with all the panels random radscorpions and giant ants would randomly spawn and i end up having to kill them. The last one is a glitch happened inside the mojave outpost cause randomly great kahn started spawning and golden geckos would spawn. Im thinking this FO NV has more glitches then star wars battlefront 1 & 2
I love this game but sometimes the bugs have me pulling my hair out. I playi in hardcore mode and normally enjoy the challenge but when some glitch causes me to have to restart from a save point an hour before, so many times it becomes aggrivating. Best one yet..I started a new game and decided to to steal a couple of things (as is normal), but someone saw meand next thing i know the whole town is hostile and shooting the crap out me, I had no previous safe save point and had to restart :(
This is funny, but in all honesty I absolutly hated the game (-My opinion, please dont try and call me out-). Every single time I played, I couldnt go 30 minutes without freezing, getting bugged, glitched, or the frame froze and took five million years for my character to move an inch. Don't get me wrong though, great franchise just way, way, way to many bugs that needed to be fixed before it got released. Kinda makes me feel like the developers half-assed the game in a way.
@FONVfan1998 Bethesda didn't make it Obsidian did. And Obsidian made more as a true sequel to the originals, because if you look at the first two. Well Fallout 3 has absolutely nothing to do with it. Fallout NV continues the main story left off by two.

You forgot the most annoying one...Euclids c finder animation loop bug! Can be fixed though, go to fallout wiki and you will find the solution. To all people affected by this shit...sell this game as soon as you can!
I already beat the main quest twice once siding with NCR than siding with legion now when I am trying to side with Yes man and trying to go to the casino to tell him that I killed Mr House the game freezes whenever I talk to the guy who you asks me to hand over all my weapons as I enter the casino that is just bullshit. Yeah fallout 3 was also buggy but atleast they didn't get in your way of finishing quests.
Honestly i played this game after the last update and i can safely say most of the bugs have been patched i have 89 hours of gameplay and its only froze once and i encountered no major glitches such as getting trapped under the map, or V.A.T.S jamming on me i say after the next title update this game will be 90% fixed
@FalloutTactics92 the last update in my opinion might have broke the game a little more, instead of fixing most glitches it created more problems, also there are less glitches than when it launched, but if anyone wants to buy it wait till the last dlc is released so more patches will be released that fix the broken patches and fix more glitches
@pokercards101 I have encountered no problems except for some reason it lags like fuck when i go to Black mountain and crashes aswell but everywhere else in New Vegas the game is running good
@FalloutTactics92 the patch didnt help me it made things worse when i went to novac half of the buildings were invisable and they didnt go invisable until after i downloaded the patch. and when i went to the safehouses the stuff in them was gone their supposed to be replenished and also the companion dismissal terminals arent at gun runners and the lucky 38 like their supposed to be idk y noone else has this problem. and ive already tried reinstalling it.

These glitches really are pathetic. I still dont know how I managed the patience to play through the game on launch day, with all the constant bugs, freezes, and crashes. I recently went back to get all the achievements with the patches loaded and there are still semi-usual crashes that drive me crazy. That coupled with the always blatant lack of polish, cut-corners, and muddy unique weapon textures, the entire experience is crippling. Fallout 3 will always be known as the masterpiece.

I think he forgot the mention the reskins, reused textures, and the extremely annoying glitches and game-breaking bugs. New Vegas wasn't 100% trash, but I wouldn't call it amazing.

@iwebber88 well Fallout 3 wasn't original either. Look at Fallout 1, and 2, then at 3. Yeah none of the enemies or even concepts were new. Bethesda rehashed everything. The reason why fans love NV is because it's a true sequel to the series. Continuing the original setting, and almost every faction that was in Fallout 1 and 2. They love it for that purpose.
@BlazerT10 I understand that, but when I read NMA and the comments of some on the Vault Wiki, I begin to think that it is the only reason some like it. I mean, there was a guy who honestly believed that Bethesda should have been taken out of the credits because it was, "99% Obsidian's work," which was laughable. I don't know, I just felt the creators wanted to pander rather than release something that matched the original.
This is the reason I quit New Vegas and went back to hunting mutants in D.C. You might have heard of this glitch to, Old Lady Gibson spawning in HELIOS 1 and instantly trying to kill the Courier.
Mine wont let me back into New Vegas, it would just freeze on the loading screen. Loved the game but i would always get attacked by an invisable enemy that wasnt on my screen :(
@FalloutTactics92 its not even that bad if your a real gamer you shuld be able to put up with glitches and bugs unless it keeps you from continuing the game... and the map in fallout new vegas and fallout 3 are huge so it should be able to be put up with if you tak all the things into perspective
@TheWalkthroughsRus In todays market what with next gen consoles like the 360 PS3 we shouldnt have issues like these in games fallout dosent have good graphics and most of the textures in the game are all the same with fallout 3 we experianced a few technical faults but nothing to major in New vegas it corrupts saves and crashes allot and its a sequel Obsidian should have learnt from the mistakes in the previous game and fixed them but New Vegas is worse.
Worst thing is that it had so much potential. While not being as deep as the first 2 Fallouts, it did try to capture the spirit of them a lot more than Fallout 3. They presented a much wider array of quest solutions and game endings. It's a real shame that that potential is crushed into the ground by the sheer amount of bugs and, in my opinion, pretty poor environmental design. Is it really so hard to clean windows, for example?
Oh she did that with you? Over here she almost broke the game by standing in front of Sunny Smiles and preventing her from continuing the tutorial. I spend nearly 10 minutes just shoving her away from Sunny, for some reason she was very difficult to move. And that was only the start of all the issues...
Theres a glitch where you save when you zoom into the bincoulars. When you load that Save you keep the binocular view until you zoom in the binocular. Its a great glitch if you want to feel like your actually using a helmet
I have the Xbox 360 version. I'm trapped inside the Lucky 38 ... I can't speak to Victor to go out and even interact with the elevator. 76 hours of play wasted, a heartfelt thanks to MENTALLY RETARDED BIG FUCKING MORON Obsidian!

I already beat the main quest twice once siding with NCR than siding with legion now when I am trying to side with Yes man and trying to go to the casino to tell him that I killed Mr House the game freezes whenever I talk to the guy who you asks me to hand over all my weapons as I enter the casino that is just bullshit. Yeah fallout 3 was also buggy but atleast they didn't get in your way of finishing quests.

Honestly i played this game after the last update and i can safely say most of the bugs have been patched i have 89 hours of gameplay and its only froze once and i encountered no major glitches such as getting trapped under the map, or V.A.T.S jamming on me i say after the next title update this game will be 90% fixed

@FalloutTactics92 the last update in my opinion might have broke the game a little more, instead of fixing most glitches it created more problems, also there are less glitches than when it launched, but if anyone wants to buy it wait till the last dlc is released so more patches will be released that fix the broken patches and fix more glitches

@FalloutTactics92 the patch didnt help me it made things worse when i went to novac half of the buildings were invisable and they didnt go invisable until after i downloaded the patch. and when i went to the safehouses the stuff in them was gone their supposed to be replenished and also the companion dismissal terminals arent at gun runners and the lucky 38 like their supposed to be idk y noone else has this problem. and ive already tried reinstalling it.

@darkharbinger55 Man i havent had any problems like that the only issue i encountered was last night when i went to Black mountain and it kept freezing but ive had no graphical errors or just ordinary Fallout glitches so far anyway its weird cause my freind plays it on PS3 and he says the strip lights dont load in on his save its as if every individual who has New vegas gets different problems Obsidian should have delayed the realese until this year to fix the game.

These glitches really are pathetic. I still dont know how I managed the patience to play through the game on launch day, with all the constant bugs, freezes, and crashes. I recently went back to get all the achievements with the patches loaded and there are still semi-usual crashes that drive me crazy. That coupled with the always blatant lack of polish, cut-corners, and muddy unique weapon textures, the entire experience is crippling. Fallout 3 will always be known as the masterpiece.

I think he forgot the mention the reskins, reused textures, and the extremely annoying glitches and game-breaking bugs. New Vegas wasn't 100% trash, but I wouldn't call it amazing.

@iwebber88 well Fallout 3 wasn't original either. Look at Fallout 1, and 2, then at 3. Yeah none of the enemies or even concepts were new. Bethesda rehashed everything. The reason why fans love NV is because it's a true sequel to the series. Continuing the original setting, and almost every faction that was in Fallout 1 and 2. They love it for that purpose.

I mean, there was a guy who honestly believed that Bethesda should have been taken out of the credits because it was, "99% Obsidian's work," which was laughable. Mine wont let me back into New Vegas, it would just freeze on the loading screen. Loved the game but i would always get attacked by an invisable enemy that wasnt on my screen :(

@TheWalkthroughsRus In todays market what with next gen consoles like the 360 PS3 we shouldnt have issues like these in games fallout dosent have good graphics and most of the textures in the game are all the same with fallout 3 we experianced a few technical faults but nothing to major in New vegas it corrupts saves and crashes allot and its a sequel Obsidian should have learnt from the mistakes in the previous game and fixed them but New Vegas is worse.

Worst thing is that it had so much potential. While not being as deep as the first 2 Fallouts, it did try to capture the spirit of them a lot more than Fallout 3. They presented a much wider array of quest solutions and game endings. It's a real shame that that potential is crushed into the ground by the sheer amount of bugs and, in my opinion, pretty poor environmental design. Is it really so hard to clean windows, for example?

Oh she did that with you? Over here she almost broke the game by standing in front of Sunny Smiles and preventing her from continuing the tutorial. I spend nearly 10 minutes just shoving her away from Sunny, for some reason she was very difficult to move. And that was only the start of all the issues...

Theres a glitch where you save when you zoom into the bincoulars. When you load that Save you keep the binocular view until you zoom in the binocular. Its a great glitch if you want to feel like your actually using a helmet
