The shelby raced the vette and got it's ass handed to it. Simple as that. The shelby is also prob pushing 20 psi on top of that.

The 500 has way LESS done to it for performance it has an aftermarket blower.....that's IT. The vette has heads cams etc and a blower and he barely beats the 500 plus the 500 is way cheaper if he bought it new he has 50-60k in it that vette is pry in the 80-100k range so who really won?

Thats really sad the Corvette is pushing 11 lbs of boost and has a 350 not even making 800 hp, and the mustang has a twinscrew and a 331 and hundreds of lbs heavier and still kept up with it!

sorry to say but mustangs are not in the same class as corvettes. 150 ft/lbs of torque more in the mustang and it still got destroyed. Mustangs are heavy, not dependable and simply do not hook well. The only fine product ford has come out with in awhile is the ford gt. A stock z06 eats up a shelby super snake all day for less money and less power. I'd still drive that stang though.

As to the slightly slow shifting, I do not power shift, I lift from the gas 100%, then clutch, throw the gear, then slam the throttle again. There's always gonna b some lag when u do that, I would rather drive my car home then tow it back with the drivetrain in pieces. Lol

power to weight ratio is why the races were close.. vette has less power but it only weighs 3200 lbs, the shelby weighs somewhere around 3800.. awesome vid and a perfect display of american muscle competition..

Im glad you posted the RWHP and RWTQ, even though some of these kids wont understand whats the diff, I do and critique peeps about it alot, also I seen what I think was the second or third race where the corvette won, the driver of the C6 didnt seem to be throwin the shifter too quickly as you could see the bits of lag between shifts but still I was very impressed and those were some good races!!!!

And from in the Vette, dude was seriously rowin the gears! It may have just been a slight inconsistency in the track sync that made it appear otherwise.

They were both good runs, the first run I spun in the c6 and the cobra hooked, I had to stop his pull and try and reel him in but ran out of room. Second run we both blew the tires away but hooked about the same time and I pulled pretty good. All in all good runs
