  • Can you please tell me more About making a HARMONY on Guitar...what it is all about ? plz help with a example !

  • @gunitsin2008

sorry...i cannot teach it via youtube video

  • @tziras thats ok .. but what it is all about ?

  • @gunitsin2008

you have to learn chords and scales structure

and then which chord goes to each degree of the scale you want to use

  • Whats the main difference between MELODIC minor ASCENDING and descending ? and while soloing on pentatonic or melodic minor..which all scales or modes we can throw in to make the SOLO more catchy.

  • @gunitsin2008

this ascending -descending thing doesn't exist in modern theory and practice

  • @tziras ok Thanks ZIras !

  • Mmm this in not so related to this particular video, but for power metal which are the most used scale modes, Theodore?

Cheers From Colombia, I love the way you play :D

  • @Metalpupett

    it is Natural minor (Aeolian)

  • @Metalpupett Whats the main difference between MELODIC minor ASCENDING and descending ? and while soloing on pentatonic or melodic minor..which all scales or modes we can throw in to make the SOLO more catchy..

  • Would I be safe in saying that the only difference between melodic minor and a major scale is the third?

  • @AresCassell

theoretically yes...but practically for me Melodic Minor

    is a Dorian with a major 7

don't forget that both a re minor scales

  • @tziras I understand. Thanks.

  • You seem more neo-classical than jazz.

  • where can i download the tab

  • Theodore Do you use guitar Rig?

i have guitar rig too but the sound comes out distorted too much and the tone is horrible.

what settings do you have to make it sound good ?

  • @yunie747

on my videos i use Line6 Pod Farm software through a POD X3

but Guitar Rig is also great....

i will post my presets very soon

  • Where do you come up with these backing tracks that match so well?

  • @Shisho2k

    i am programming them....

  • @tziras They're really good. I think I meant to say "How". Just curious about the methods involved in putting it together that makes it works so well together.

  • @Shisho2k

on Cubase, i am programming each instrument

    it is not difficult

  • thnks ... nice lesson

  • great lesson, thanks! :)

  • Thanks for the lesson man! So far I have been playing mostly metal, but I want to expand my knowledge and learn other genres especially jazz. Could you maybe continue with some more jazz lessons?

  • @CillaBlack5

    yes...i will do it

  • now that high school has started in the U.S. I can only play guitar during the weekends.. :,(

  • Where can I download the tab from on your website?

  • @Chickenwingmv

go to the "Lick odf th week" menu..it is on the first page

  • 5 Stars

  • I like how this is going to sound, I just wanted to say thanks for all the videos you put up, ever since I started to follow you my guitar playing has gone to another level I look forward each week to learn something new and you never let me down you always have something awesome to learn, look forward to the next video.

  • cool scale but too intermediate for me to play

  • Thank Theodore for indicating the chord usable on that scale! Could you go one step further for the soloing, by having a chord sequence that will be usable on that scale, and not only one chord? Maybe the 'chord progression' could be a good next lesson ;)

  • @BozKiller

    i will do it...

  • very confusing... melodic minor would be 1,2,b3,4,5,b6,7. You gotta be careful not to mislead young guitarists who are looking to lern theory

  • @wandersonfcastro

    1,2,b3,4,5,b6,7....this is harmonic minor

    Melodic Minor is 1 2 b3 4 5 6 7

  • @tziras absolutely right, I always mistake those, sorry. And keep up your awesome vids

  • I have been subscribed for quite a while and your lessons are the best ever. I watch your videos and think ''surely it isn't that simple''?

You teach what I thought was complex musical theory into easy bite size chunks and then show a practical application.

Put all the pieces together and you become a better musician.

  • Hey tziras, that level idea is good but instead of the text slowly being written out, just have it all appear in an instance. People don't read letter by letter.

  • @uudo

i will check it...maybe you are right

  • @LFWOL

    that's for the "classical" theory

in Modern Theory Melodic Minor = Jazz Melodic Minor

  • @tziras It's easier for me to think of it as a dorian with the 7th raised when trying to play it.

  • great aw always!

  • thanx

  • cooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool u aswome mannnnnnnnn my master what lesson i shuold start after i dont altrenate part4 the last one
