  • they were so happy!!

  • maru the cat

  • U should see maru he's so cute and it's a cat but soo!!!!!!! Cute

  • Aww cute im not a bird person but i understand the affection you can feel towards to your animals especially when they are with you for so long. I still miss my oscar (maine coon cat) and its been 3 years. I dont think the pain ever goes away. But it helps to know how much you made there life better (any animal) just by caring and loving for them. I hope you have lots of love and a long happy life with your others. Take care!

  • Oh My God, They were loving that! I love the Macaws, beautiful bread! We have an African Grey and she will play in the water if we splash her but won't go near running water... Too Cute!

  • estas aves deberían estar en libertad :(

  • Awesome Video!

  • I'm so sorry for your loss:(

  • lol

  • Oh. (just read description) My condolences for your loss. May Raja fly free over the rainbow with all of the other feathered angels. I volunteer for a parrot rescue and sanctuary here in Ohio. I see many sad stories. We have birds come in so abused that their will is completely broken. And no matter how much I try to prepare myself for it, every time one of them passes on I can't help but feel a deep sadness followed by overwhelming anger towards the people who did these things to them.

  • @mattxr2i Bless you for being in rescue. It breaks my heart and I pray I outlive my birds (but not likely). I don't want them in a sanctuary or rescue situation. You are very special to volunteer your time...especially since you have birds of your own. I saw the video of the blue and gold talking and talking. Sweet. Raja has been gone 5 years now. As sad as it is, I would rather loose them to sudden death and no pain than leaving them to chance when I die.

  • @mattxr2i This is true. I never want to see my birds end up that way and you really cannot plan 50 or 60 years ahead. Even if you find a wonderful home for them, there are no guarantees they will live there the rest of their life. Any bird can end up in horrific conditions at some point after you pass on. Worries me 24/7. By the way, I have 2 greys and you would not see them doing this either. : )

  • Beautiful babies you have there. I have a flock myself lol. 4 B&G macaws and a U2. And none of them are pets... They are family :-)

  • these are my favourite kind of birds:)

  • Aww so cute!!! R.i.p. raja -3333333

    So dang cute!!! I want a parrot :) I have 4 parakeets :))) I love them very much :) -3333

  • @SurroundedByMorons01 YOU are the moron! Read up on what happened or just go be rude somewhere else!

  • But why

  • Im sorry for raja i hope you feel better bye and R.I.P Raja

  • Trololololol

  • @SurroundedByMorons01 Humans live anywhere from 2 yrs old to 100 yrs old. If they die at 10 yrs old, does that mean their mom and dad neglected them? Get real! Raja had the best life he could possible have and the best food. He was very much loved and cared for. He died from an aneurysm which can happen to anyone. If you can't say something nice, don't even come here. How rude to say that.

  • @SurroundedByMorons01 Geez sometimes things happen and there's nothing you can do about it. And how do you know the bird wasn't old?

  • @kimthefamedactress - thanks, Kim. Raja was young for a parrot. Problem is he had a medical problem. In captivity they can live 80 years but usually not in the wild. I know how to take care of birds and I love them very much. I appreciate your comment. Some people just don't have a heart at all. We were hurt by his passing. We loved him so much.

  • Uh...birds belong outside not owned by humans.

  • @MegaSINCITY702 I agree with you 100% - These birds unfortunately were domestically raised and would not survive outside under any circumstances. All they have had since hatching is humans. It is very sad. They used to import birds illegally by the hundreds and there is still a terrible assault on wild birds. When people started raising them domestically, they thought it would stop this cruel trade (high percentage dead on arrival and shipped in crates and inhumane conditions).

  • @ginnylrunyan I feel the same way about fish, so beautiful but treated like shit.

  • @MegaSINCITY702 And women belong in the kitchen, your point?

  • its so cute.i love their voices.

  • All my lovely Macaws love that. They even knows how to hold their breath and dive! Ha ha- like a peguin :)

  • WHAT THE FUCK JUST HAPPENED LOL

  • "Need to go back, it's just so... Watery!!"

  • sooo cute ...there soo loud lol

  • You can tell they are loving it. They keep going back and getting under the water stream from the spigot. lol They are adorable.

  • Cute

  • r u indian or asian cause raja means prince in urdu

  • @iGoldhackez Nope - American - just used the word. He was a Prince. Someone I knew at the time named him. I doubt I would have chosen that name. Not sure what I would have named him. : )

  • Funny:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

  • UGH I UNDERSTAND THAT THEYRE HAPPY!!!! u people dont need to tell me about a comment i sent A MONTH AGO!!!

  • lol hurt them... now thats a funny comment!!! birds LOVES to bath!!!! nice macaw you have!!! they look very happy in the bath!!

  • Im so sorry for your loss!

On the plus side this is a very cute vid!!!

  • Birds in the bathtub? This is why we can't have nice things!! lol :)

  • hahahaha

  • So sorry for your loss. I have a video of my dog that I'd love to post, but it's still waiting to be converted so I can post it. Your birds are gorgeous. I've always wanted a scarlet myself. But I'm a little intimidated, seems they can be really high maintenance.

  • oh they were loving it big time god i wish i can have one of them birds. there gorgeous

  • lol!!!!!!!!! funny, they look like feeling in paradise :)

  • This is soooo cute.

  • There all omg I'm getn a bath.

  • sure hope it didnt hurt them

  • @yyoveltube - Hurt them? No - they loved every minute of it. Bird all need moisture and baths or spritzing if they are not outside in the rain. These birds are in the rain forest in the wild. They need to have water for good feather condition.

  • @ginnylrunyan oh sorry. i didnt know.

  • @yyoveltube They were actually squealing with delight. I didn't know either until I started keeping birds. You learn as you go. Good to research before you get birds though. There is a lot to learn and it is a lifetime commitment. Some of these guys live to be 80 years old or more.

  • @ginnylrunyan wow! are they the only birds to live that old?

  • @yyoveltube I'm sure there are others - of the ones I have, I know the amazons and macaws and cockatoos have been said to live 80-100 years. The african greys, 60-70 years and the smaller parrots 40-50 years.

  • @yyoveltube ya it hurt um so bad they were gilggling n playing n it

  • @yellow468 lol it doesnt hurt them

  • @yyoveltube those guys are soo happy .

  • лол, что за дурдом?

  • lol omg theyre talking about how much they love the bath

  • Ohh this is sweet

  • DAT IS DA CUTEST THING EVA

  • niiiice

  • '

    wow two R / R loves in a bath,,,

    what water temp

  • @bestamerica Just mildly warm.

  • Wow beautiful birds!

  • i forgot... how often to give a bird a bath?

  • I think it might have been a rare Spix macaw - since it didn't have yellow around the eyes like a hyacinth. Rio is actually a blue and gold macaw.

  • When .i saw the parrots name i was thinking of the movie rio its a blue macaw too like in rio thumbs up if you agree

  • Gorgeous Blue and Gold Macaws! I've always wanted one, but for now I have a Sun Conure and a Quaker parrot. Sorry for your loss.

  • Beautiful birds! I'm sorry about your loss. If you don't mind my asking, how did Raja die?

  • You're bird would eat my parakeet! AHHHH >.<

  • ahahah waht a sounds XD :D

  • its a beautifull birds

  • "WOOO! ITS HOOOT" ;D

  • That is freaking adorable! I wish my 'Tiels liked baths!

  • They're so pretty!!

  • These are the most gorgeous birds I have ever seen!

  • Splish splash I was takin a bath!

  • Poor Raja :( It's nice that Raja had a good time before he passed on. They look like they are really enjoying their bath. Beautiful birds and so cute!!

  • THANKS! @ginnylrunyan

  • WITCH ONE IS RIO?

  • @ukiuki551 Raja is the one with his head under the faucet. Rio is on the right. Raja was a male and Rio is a female - she is smaller than Raja was. They were always in separate cages and not for breeding.

  • @ukiuki551 Raja is the one under the faucet and Rio is on the right most of the time. She was not running under the faucet like Raja.

  • @ukiuki551 does it even mattter ;L Both Looks All The Same. x]

  • 0:09 sounded like "Gosh" lol

  • are these birds hard to take care of

  • @doom2548 ...one bird or two birds not a huge problem but it does take a lifetime commitment. You can't just buy them on impulse and expect it to be as easy as another pet (cat, dog or whatever). It takes patience and working with them and out of cage time so that they are socialized and happy. They should have fresh veggies and fruit every day and lots of other support as far as vet expenses, regular check-ups, etc. They shouldn't be left alone for long hours without supervision.

  • @ginnylrunyan what size cage does one need and the demisons

  • @doom2548 48 " x 36 " x 76 "

This is a good size for a macaw. You also would need a bird stand because it would spend time out of the cage on the stand - also must have lots of toys - they chew. If they don't have toys they are bored and pick feathers out. These wonderful creatures live to be 80 sometimes or older so they will most probably outlive you, forcing them to go to yet another home. Please research on internet for knowledge & also adopt if possible from a rescue.

  • they sound like old grannies squabbling to eachother lol

  • @CroGuitarPlayer no, theres a real place called rio in brazil, alot of people call macaws and such rio

  • @iDjGio the movie is based in a place calles rio de janerio, and the main birds, blu and jewel(?) are spix macaws.

  • OMG! They are soo fucking funny and cute! They love it! haha this is amazing.

  • RIO FROM MOVIE ? CAN YOU SEE INTO THE FUTURE?

  • Your birds are beautiful!

  • I cried when I watched this D: I'm so sorry! They are so adorable though!

  • Tastes like chicken!!

  • Did you know they made a Movie about your bird? :O

  • howd he die

  • Dam they are huge, love them!

  • @BeauReptiles Thank you. That is a great idea!

  • They are to cute

  • 0:12 whoa! AHHHHH

  • this is amazing they're so excited!

  • video was uploaded in april 4th 2007 and raja passed away in jan 16 2007 WTF!

  • @jake17124 So what is your point??? It was recorded a few years before he died and I didn't upload it to YouTube until a few months after he died when I was going through pictures to create a book about Raja. I have lots of videos and pictures for the 10 years before he died. Some of them have never been uploaded.

  • @ginnylrunyan im sorry if it hurt your fealings but at that time i was like gone crazy on how that happened....im very sorry if it hurt your fealings

  • @jake17124 No worries, Jake. He was a great bird and he is most definitely missed. : )

  • raja thats my friends name

  • Ahm... the guacamayos take a sh@wer? Really? I've a Parro but i dont know if need take a sh@wer

  • @ziruman00 All birds need showers - wild birds always bathe or have rain on them. You can mist your bird with a spray bottle with a very fine mist. Or get a wall perch and put them in the shower with you. What kind of parrot do you have?

  • @ginnylrunyan i have love birds man i don't wanna shower em but i was spray em with a spray bottle is that ok?

  • @jake17124 Yes - a mister on a spray bottle or just a really fine spray is great for love birds. Also - a saucer with water for the to splash if they want to.

  • excited little guys!

  • My bird's name is Rio also! :D

  • eu acho que deveriamos de matar todo ser humano que coloca os pobres animais em jaulas, si e que essas pessoas podem ser chamadas seres humanos,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

  • Haha so cute lol this video just made my day

  • as araras são lindas da vontade de ficar com nos-co , mas essa situação de ver elas perto e fazendo isso não é bom pq mostra que elas n pode viver onde seria o melhor lugar para elas,e que elas perderam o extinto selvagem isso é uma tristeza

  • lol they are so cool

  • LOL their like little children having fun in the bathtub hahaha

  • RIO DE JENEROOOOOOOOOO!!!!

  • birds like wooohhh wwwaaaahhhh We like baths :D!

  • In my country (Singapore) we need a special permit to have this kind of exotic birds.

Saw your reply to a previous comment and learnt that Raja have moved on to parrot heaven is really sad. RIP Raja.

  • @blackmondae I think that is a great idea to have a special permit. I wish they had that in the USA. There are too many people who get parrots on a whim or without a clue about the commitment of keeping them for 80 years. There are way too many given up to rescues or abused in homes.

  • @ginnylrunyan -- Amen to that. Whenever I hear someone say they want a parrot I strongly suggest they don't, for the parrot's sake, and prattle on about what a burden they are. I raised my Blue and Gold from a chick.. Studebaker is 21 now, he is a better bird than I deserve and I wouldn't trade him for anything.. Too many people buy one as a novelty, get tired of the mess or noise and end up trying to trade them for a car on craigslist. Very sad.

  • @ginnylrunyan they do i have a permit for a clawed frog and it's 10 bucks a year and for exotic birds 20 bucks a year (new jersey). and how old was raja when he moved on?

  • @mikeydude319 Raja was 10 yrs old. He was a healthy bouncing boy - large and very healthy, regular vet visits, etc. I still have Rio. She is 12 years old.

I didn't know anybody in the US had to have a permit. I wonder if there are any other states that require it. I think it should be mandatory to go to classes about the commitment you make when purchasing exotics. Too many people buy on impulse and have no idea how much work and dedication goes with it.

  • They are beautiful !

  • Wow!

  • sounds like ralph from the simpsons

  • Those are beautiful, beautiful birds...

  • After viewing this video and reading a few comments makes me wonder.

How are the parrots now as I see someone said that Raja sadly died?

I have a parrot but mine is an African Grey I think all parrots and any sort of birds really are nice pets. Another favorite animal is an elephant but then again parrots are more affordable yet vary in ways.

  • @MusicanoftheFuture - Raja died from an aneurysm.. It was sudden death - instant death - hemorrhage. He was on my arm and fell to the floor. The vet that did the necropsy said he was dead before he ever went to the floor. He was flapping his wings and stayed on the floor with his wings out. I called out and reached down to pick him up and blood poured out of his beak. Loved this big boisterous guy. I still have Rio. RIP Raja - we all miss our big boy. We have african greys as well.

  • @ginnylrunyan oh my god I would have been devestated and traumatized. My young tiel died looking for me....after my birthday...I know how it feels :(

  • Rios a movie!!!!!

  • first parrot: hey, see, waterfall!

    second parrot: let's get wet!

    :)))

  • sweet ^^

  • dude, they're totally freaking out ^^

our birds didn't like water very much, I think when the watertub scares a bird one time it will never take a bath again.......

  • sounds like women screaming lol

  • YOU CAN DO IT ALL BY YO SELF, LET ME SEE YOU DO IT!!! AYE!!!

  • Rio;balalaiobloblblblaaaaaaaaa!

    Raja:blebalalalalalablolloolbliiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!

    LOL SO FUNNY

  • Beautifill birds!

  • your lucky to have such beautiful birds

  • OOOOOOHH AAHHH ahhHHH OOHH AHHH ! ! ! hahaha so cute they sound like children!!!

  • Wow. The bird on the left really enjoys taking a bath. Sucks I can't get my dog to take one without getting nervous.

  • @RivendareRogue Yes, that is Raja - R.I.P. big boy always in our hearts forever.

  • Plus they like water a lot XD

  • Rio is a show right? o.o"

  • @StrawBerriesForMi Movie, Its great

  • @lilutena And they love water XD but why didn't they plug the hole up :( They would be learning how to swim by now :P

  • @StrawBerriesForMi They do not like it when the water is deep - they only like the faucet and splashing water. Raja is the one who dunked his head under and would have been more receptive to maybe swimming. I don't know for sure - he passed over the rainbow in 2007. Rio wasn't as enthusiastic and she does not like it if the water is over an inch deep.

  • @StrawBerriesForMi Yes, there is a new movie out named "RIO" about parrots. I got Rio as a baby many years ago and someone had already named her. She is eleven years old now.

  • @ginnylrunyan i bet they cost u a fortune

  • @ginnylrunyan Same age as mi :3

  • i know why its called rio

  • they has all the fun they has them all

  • ahahaha only my eldest lorikeet does that my other two younger ones hate it.... ahahaha but they have to take baths anyway xD

  • LMAO OMG THEY ARE SO FRIGGIN CUTE!

  • when i get a b&g macaw im going to name him rio!

  • LOL!!!!! XD

  • OH ITS HOT

  • My little never liked water, he was always still and waited to get it over with but he loved snuggling in his towel afterwards and then I used to keep him warm underneeth my bra... He liked that. :)

I miss my baby boy. </3

  • lucky! my bird is scared of water

  • @paddymun lol

  • SO HAPPY. ;D

  • it's funny how different birds prefer what; i had a double yellow-headed amazon parrot and he absolutely hated baths. he would go to the far end of the tub and try and climb out the sides

  • Awwww so cute!!

  • Cool

  • so cute and adorable

  • @TRICKxxxMONTAGES Blue and Gold Macaws

  • @ginnylrunyan very sad about Raja i wish i had the time to have beautiful birds like these in my house!
