@theFIX2010 - they allow it but for anyone doing it you must take precautions. My hand strap is very tight and I also have the camera tethered to my arm in case the hand strap would break. But beware - roller coasters are very rough on cameras. They are not designed to take such abuse. It has caused my camera to freak out from time to time.

@MrCountCoCoaFang Makes it more interesting. "Harold" was added during the 1978 refurb to spice up the ride. From its opening in 1959 to 1978, the mountain was just a big hollow shell. The refurb added a lot more detail to the ride, which range from little touches like ice caverns to the incarnations of Harold seen throughout the ride.

This looks like such a good ride. It looks smooth and its a good amount of time for a ride. Most rides, you wait like an hour in line and its over within 2 minutes. This would definitely be worth a wait!!

@erdancer214 They have 2 lines. Both usually wrap all the way around the side of the Matterhorn, but they move fast. The ride is super short as it is, and even shorter if you line up on the Tomorrowland side because that track is faster. The last time I was there, I timed it. I was on the TL side even with Nemo and the wait time according to the sign was 30 mins, but we were at the front in no more than 15. So for anyone who thinks the lines look intimidating, they really aren't!

@Msilikenachos The one closer to Fantasyland is slower, and lasts 30 seconds longer than then other one. The one closer to Tomorrowland is faster and has one unexpected drop and tighter turns.

@Gabriela451 OMG same here. we were just about to go on the ride and we were in line for like 2 1/2hrs and they said it broke down and we waited like an hour for them to fix it. We didn't want to get out of line because we were at the very front. My sister and her boyfriend, however, were on the ride at the top of the mountain and had to walk back down.

@michaelsmom100 it leads inside the matterhorn ( obviously ) and there is a lot of pneumatic and hydraulic pipes, when you look up it looks like the mountain but the inside, theres a lot of rebarb and such, there is also random stuff like a ping pong table and hula hoops. the layout gradually spirals down, it leads to some outside stairs where we departed. Great experience, hope that all made sense.
