  • wonder if they got the idea for this from the Smothers Bros. show? They had shorts like this on it. Bill

  • have me wonderin' where are these "kids" now & did the ever think, 40,000 folks would see this. Kudos to one & all whereever they maybe.

  • Too Cool! Big, Big fan of Simon & Garfunkel and the video reminds me so much of my 1970 world in Edmonton, Alberta, CA. Really sorry to hear some of guys passed on so young as with some of my family & friends. Very neat reminder of a passing era.

  • im just 15 and this is my type off music

  • @cedexovolcom Age doesnt matter. What's the difference between me (18) and my dad (57) both digging the music of Derek Trucks (32)?

  • I adore this video - excellent song choice too!

  • am gold song

  • i wonder how your engines feel. whole album is great

  • It's Good... I like it. It's different and fresh! :)

  • @ecomcon1 fresh and 40 years old!!!!!

  • Many years ago I visited les Etats-Unis. When I did I attended a S& G concert in Los Angeles. The MC was a comedian named Bobby Hope. He said: "Black is beautiful and so is tan. But White iks the colour of the big boss man." Later gthat nite, the Watts riots began.

  • Wow this was great to watch albeit kinda sad reading about the two kids. Would you be willing to tell us the street they were driving down ? We just live in Brentwood & I'd love to take a drive down that street to see how much it has since changed.

Thanks for posting this, great video of wonderful times :)

  • @TracyM132

It was filmed on Bayfield Rd. in north Saanich, just across the street from the Bailey's house.

  • Coolest Song Ever!? Possibly!

  • And coolest video as well! They don't make 'em like this anymore... Everything relies on great computer programs, but the real awesomeness is gone =(

  • @MrBackInCrack You said it!!

  • Congratulations to the Video maker!!!

I first saw Paul Simon perform this in 2004 in Manchester, since then, I have been to London Hyde Park, Liverpool Echo and back to Manchester to watch my all time favourtite artist!!!!!!!!!

great Video - suits the music perfectly. Sad to hear the story though. At least the memory is still there.

  • I loved this when I was a kid- it was SO much more glamorous than our childhoods at the time. Scoot down the road x

  • I love this song, inexplicably gets left off a lot of their "best ofs".

  • cool

  • best song ever

  • i love the engine sounds at the end of the song

  • I'm not talking about your pig tails.

  • Great Video.

  • Great song, and the vid´s got a happy feeling about it:) I loved the part where they all "drove" into the van and it drove away!

  • This was always a favorite of mine, w/the horns and the upbeat tempo and the fabulous harmomies by The Guys.

What a wild video to accompany the tune - I can't imagine a funnier vid for this tune. An instant favorite!!!

    Thanks for developing and posting!!!!!!!!

  • Great song and I keep coming back to watch this vid :)

  • Hi, no it was done in 1971 or so, in Sidney BC. Nothing to do with Paul Simon, except they chose this song to go with the video they made.
