Man you gave that old Ford a work out! Great job! I also love how you had to hit the tank gauge to get it to work. Also liked the little woohoo's in there every now and then:)
Boy, that engine is an old warrior. I drove a C 900 series Howe pumper for 15 years. Ours was a 534 gas engine manual transmission rig. The good news was it was fairly quick on the level. The bad news is that our department was in a valley with hills on 3 sides. I enjoyed how you were hitting the fire on the run. Obviously the way you were repositioning the truck so quickly this wasn't your first dance. Great video.
@westplainsfd could you leave the pump going while you move up more or does it effect something great video bad brush fire we just had one I'm florida In brevard county we sent two other counties up there Osceola and st cloud
@theatomicfart1001 No, we dont currently have any apparatus with the pump n roll feature, when you are pumping you cannot move the truck until it is disengaged.
@WestPlainsFD yMaybe you could hook up a small 15 horsepower motor that feeds out of the tank into the booster real? My dept. only uses pump and roll on brush fires and it doesnt usually take a whole lot of pressure and horsepower. Keep up the good work and videos
Wow, Your reflexes to stop, engage the pump, and send water to the fire then shutting down and repeating is just fantastic.
