WARNING TO ALL STUDENTS: You are strongly adviced to STAY AWAY from a private tutoring company called University and Academy Tutors (UAT),based at Jesson House in Coventry,England. This company was previously known as ICUT (UK), but the owner of the company,"Dr." Vincent McKee, was outed by Sky News in January 2011 as a FRAUDSTER. McKee then changed his company's name to UAT (GB) and his OWN name to "Patrick Murphy." Sky News AGAIN exposed him in March 2011.He now calls himself PATRICK KELLY
WARNING TO ALL STUDENTS: Dr. Vincent McKee, who used to run a company in Coventry offering private tuition, called ICUT (UK), has now changed the name of the company to University and Academy Tutors, or UAT (GB). DO NOT approach ICUT/UAT for your tutorial needs. Dr. Vincent McKee was outed as a FRAUDSTER by Sky News in January 2011. As a result, McKee has changed his company's name and HIS OWN NAME : he now calls himself Patrick Murray, and he is STILL DEFRAUDING STUDENTS. Just Google his name !
i'm applying to this university, it's probably the one which has drawn my attention most. what's the international 'scene' like though? are there lots of people from abroad the UK?
@sexidolofsatan There are students from all over the world studying here, in fact we have one of the largest international student communities in the UK!
@MilliVanilli2007 Hi, if you check out our league table results, it will give you a better idea of our well the University is doing. If you want more information, please contact Student Recruitment or Admissions :)
@Showko22Milk Congrats! I would do Clinical Neuropsychiatry. But I am not even sure if I am going to accept. Can't decide. Shame, that would have been funny if we had 'found each other' here on youtube, doing the same course :) good luck
went to the open day yesterday. SOOOO much better than i was expecting. this is by far my faveroute uni. medical department really impressed me. well wanna come here
I AM studying here, if I go back in time I prefer to sell my kiney (if I can find a legal way to do that) and go to a better university rather than studying here, most of what you here is just advertising, i.e. WebCT is more like a joke, there is not a 24X7 computer cluster in whole uni, feedbaqck are really jokes here, I can show you mines, adminstration does not have to answer to any student and they usually don't
We're sorry that you feel this way about the University. Have you filled in your Postgraduate Survey to feed these views back to us formally? We would be interested to hear your problems with WebCT. There are 24 hour computer clusters on campus in the Learning Centre and the Medical School. I hope that you appreciate that as administration we do answer to you.
I think you would be best to feedback through PRES (Postgraduate Research Experience Survey) or the Student Satisfaction Survey if you feel so strongly about these issues. We will also feedback your views to the appropriate departments in the University.
I think it really depends on the school to take full use of WebCT or not. My school, for example, has been using WebCT for all purposes ; lectures, notes, exercises, laboratory preparations, etc. I find that WebCT really is a life-saver. The feedbacks I've got from the univ were most helpful and prompt. From the ISAS, the library, the Munrow and many others, all replied to my queries perfectly.
I am sorry that you did not enjoy your experience in Birmingham as much as I am.
So, you have issues with the general idea with universities. I am sorry to hear that. I am here simply to say that I did not find University of Birmingham as bad as you think. I am enjoying my time here, and hope prospective students will do the same.

If you believe in your right to free speech, don't come to this University. They are disciplining 13 students for taking part in a peaceful protest.
