Physicians Assistants (In my Opinion) are a fuckin' pain in the ass. I would rather see an actual Doctor rather than some understudy elf that thinks they know as much as the actual Dr. I am truly sick of the way this world has become & the bad part is, it's only going to get worse!
I'm going for Bachelors in Biology, as I love science and I do enjoy the medical field. I haven't found my calling just yet, so Im exploring different renues to find what appeals to me and would fit me as a person. But I could see myself as a PA and enjoying what I do. What kind of characteristics makes one well suited for this field?
I am an EMT-B just got certified with plans to become a paramedic, but I am also thinking about becoming a PA as well as OTR I haven't totally decided which one I want but i've been lately thinking about why i would be a good candidate for the PA program. So is their any advice you can give someone trying to have a bright future like myself?
Currently, I am majoring in Bio and been having some thoughts about becoming a PA. I am a rising sophomore and would like to know the steps necessary in order for me to become a PA. Also, what do you like most about being a PA?
@ThePAcoach: I think your videos are very informative. I too hope to get into PA school, but I have to agree with Pleex. I'm applying to PA school because I found the MCAT to difficult. I understand you turned down medical school for PA school, which is great. But like Pleex said. #1 reason for PA applicants...IS couldn't get into med-school.
Thank you for the videos.. there really helped in the application process.
@ThePAcoach You probably mean the otherway around. You got turned down by Med School. I am European but i am sad to see that the USA has taken on the third world medicine model; NP's and PA's. Glad to see we still just have physcians and nurses overhere. You Americans hopefully know that this NP and PA thing is a third world invention right?. Maybe they are selling it to you as "innovative medicine" but its not, Its a third world solution.
I am not in the USA i am in Europe. (Ik zal wel even wat Nederlands voor je schrijven dan geloof je het misschien) That was some Dutch to convince you. And it is true, the whole NP/PA stuff is a third world solution to the shortage of physicians. You can windowdress all you want but its the truth.
Totally thinking about it. :)

@pleex: You are sadly mistaken. I actually turned down medical school to go to PA school. Thanks for your comment.
