Like.....it's weird cuz you really cant compare new or old, but I figure theyre artists, and i kinda dig how they try new things with every album. it keeps it a little different, and if it isnt as good as before, well, it just makes the old that much more endearing.

I like all their stuff alot but their first album is a treasure in my eyes, i never lend my copy out, and anything before the priciple evil made flesh is so amazing to listen to, it shows how far theyve come, as they progressed they got softer in my opinion, after cruelty and the beast they began to progress and got a less raw sound, they started slowin down at the end of Damnation in a day with Thank God for the Suffering, then nymphetamine came along which was ok and then thornograhpy sucked

Pretty much exactly how I see it. Except, while their debut was great, it's V Empire/Dusk/Cruelty that I see as their high point, then they toned down the black metal elements a bit on Midian and Bitter Suites and then exercised them almost completely on Damnation. That's a really toned down album but the music is still fantastic. Then as you say, Nymphetamine was okay and Thornography was gay.
