I plugged in my iPod to my computer and booted it up in dfu mode and it did not boot up but i connected it to tinny umbrella and clicked on fix recovery and it booted it up

actually youre still in recovery mode. DFU mode is when the iphone screen is completely black and still being detected by your PC/mac. to do this you hold down the home button till its completely black and not showing the usb/itunes screen.
