After they released this EP following ATR, I tought they're new album would be hardcore as they used to be. But I was wrong. This only song easily SUPPLANT Appeal To Reason and Endgame. This is rage, this is energy, this is hardcore. RISE

@Eirik99 No. This is awesome. There is so much raw power and energy in this song. This is the style of punk rock that Rise Against was built from. It might be less accessible than Appeal to Reason, but don't claim it "sucks" because you listened to it once and didn't like it. It's a shame that Rise Against has the potential to make amazing punk songs like this when nothing like this makes it onto the new albums.

Well, i hate to disappoint, but this is an older song and the only reason why they released it is because they lost a bet with Fat Mike from NOFX and this was first released on Fatwreck Chords back a few months ago on a 7". I supposed DGC got mad because they didnt release it under their label so they probably made RA release it under DGC/Interscope. Grammatizator is a great song though.
im really fed up with people who say appeal to reason was shit...to be honest if you dont like it dont listen to it. I think that the only reeason that it sounds less aggresive is to make it more popular to spread the message within the songs, i mean appeal to reason is one of the most politically directed albums they have ever made nd to spread it would be like...awesome :)

appeal to reason was a major disappointment in my opinion. they really sold out. most songs weren't staying true to them. i guess you have to have been a fan right from the start to recognize how much they have changed since songs like dancing for rain give it all and state of the union. just my opinion but they were much better when it was more about getting a message across then being able to sing and being radio friendly and all that shit.

Funny how everyone's try to judge what happens to rise against or tim. I just think Rise Against made an amazing album with "Appeal To Reason" but rise against and the producers agreed that songs like this are not made for an album that was sold 50.000 units at the first week.
Other question: What the fuck on this song remembers some people at punkrock? that's hardcore, nothing else. Tim's voice is just incredible on the late album. And he also can scream like the hell out of his throat.

This came out in may, 2009. There were 500 copies. These songs that came out in 2009 were songs which didn't make it to Appeal to Reason, which came out October 7th 2008. Other songs that came out in 2009 are Sight Unseen, Death blossoms etc. etc.

Rise Against is a Hardcore/Melodic-core Punk band. Most of their music have political statements or have the intent to inspire and motivate the listener.
Their first 3 ablums (which in my oppinion where the best) where a great example of this. You being the poser you are probably never listened to them. This is the true Rise Against this is their roots (listen to the Killing Tree, Tims band before RIse Against and you will see that is obvious) if you dont like it dont claim to love this band. @666falsemessiah not realy i would recomend give it all, half way there, ready to fall, black masks and gassoline (i think thats the title) prayer of refugee chamber the cartridge (again i think thats wrong) . and re-education. all great songs. they are getting alot were getting alot softer with there new CD so im glad they still have some harcore in them.

Ok first off i'd like to say YOU sir are the true idiot. you claim to love something that you have no idea what it is about. second Rise Against tours Europe all the time even when their first albums came out so the fact u live in Scotland doesnt mean shit. So now that we got that out of the way its time you get eduated
Rise Against is a Hardcore/Melodic-core Punk band. Most of their music have political statements or have the intent to inspire and motivate the listener.

Their first 3 ablums (which in my oppinion where the best) where a great example of this. You being the poser you are probably never listened to them. This is the true Rise Against this is their roots (listen to the Killing Tree, Tims band before RIse Against and you will see that is obvious) if you dont like it dont claim to love this band. Because you A) dont know shit about this band and B) dont know shit about Punk.
So please stop listening to this band it makes real fans very upset

@SICKxBOYx88 they were on rock band? i remember guitar hero 3. its funny i didnt know it was on there for a long while. they did a bad job on prayer of refugee on guitar hero. i think its missing parts. guitar hero got alot less fun once i picked up a real guitar.
