Transformers G1 needs the DBZ Kai treatment. Digitally fix ALL animation errors, reanimate some scenes if they have to, add some new scenes to adjust the pacing of the episodes, and finally, to filter out the crap episodes (Child's Play, BOT and the King Arthur Court Crap for example) and then release it on blu-ray.
Also, it's not unusual for cartoons, TV shows and movies to share sound effects. Even Star Trek and Star Wars used sound effects from other movies. For example, the lightsaber against lightsaber sound effect (in SW IV) can be heard in 2nd pilot episode of Star Trek "Where no man has gone befote", used for console sparks.
Same thing happens even today. Although it's much less noticable as they mostly don't sound memorable as the classic sound effects.
When my tin arrived, it was dented in the mail (people had complained about scratched discs, these were wrapped in baggies inside the cardboard sleeve booklets, and only one disc skipped a bit towards the end, I need to clean it).
But hey, for 1/6th the price (for a complete series + the movie), you can't beat the tin!
Yes. I have had a chance to watch it now, but I haven't compared it to these youtube videos to see how it matches up.
I know that the Transformers broadcast masters contain many errors as well that were not corrected (which is fine). I think what the G1 Collector's tin (the Chinese produced one) does is uses a mix of the different sources to come up with the best possible version.
This is the danger of going back to 35mm. The overseas retakes are not edited into the film prints - they are often edited in on video.
If you ever complain about animation DVDs using the broadcast masters and looking "lackluster," just consider this. The broadcast masters, for all the film flaws and lesser quality, will always use the final animation takes...

@British1500
Star Trek and Star Wars sound effects are supposed to be there, they were part of Sunbows sound effects library.
As for Doctor Who sound effects, I have no idea how they sound. Only watched first couple of episodes. :\
For example of sound effects added by Rhino watch this:
-This is the original intro:

-And this is the intro with added sound effects:
