This video is over a month old now and I'm sure Sony is working hard on the OS but they better be damn well ready to release this device with a solid, snappy, lag free OS.

They got the best Android UI and this can mean huge gains for them if they just do this one thing right. If not, expect a revolving door scenario where we see the phone go from from carrier to consumer and then back to carrier.

Sony Ericsson Aino pulled out from UK stores just after Satio

Only a week ago Carphone Warehouse pulled out the Satio from their stores due to software issues. Now the not-so-touchable Aino followed its Symbian sibling with complaints about touch performance.

Aino is the second Sony Ericsson handset, pulled out from major UK stores lately. The first was Satio, plagued by some undisclosed software troubles. Apparently the Aino, which has nothing in common with the Symbian-powered Satio, has ---

Why? Simple, the OS isn't optimized for the phones hardware yet. Prototypes usually have issues and are usually better when released. Take the HTC Hero for instance, when it was released it suffered from some lag but after a recent firmware update it runs a lot better. With this 1Ghz processor Android will definitely run without a problem.

It is difficult to say which one is best - if you want a phone with a hardware QWERTY keyboard you will not choose X10, regardless of OS. Xperia brand is more about how people choose to interact and what you want from your cellphone than which operating system or model is "better" than another. I would ask "What kind of experience do I want from my phone?" and then "Which phone best fits my needs?" to make a good choice.

I notice this is how they jack up the price. I heard rumors that this device will cost $800-$1000 U.S dollars, if you buy unlocked. Notice there only focusing on the gimmicky UI. thats how SE wants to justify the high price for the device. IMO, the review should talk more about how fast and lag free the device is, because of mighty snapdragon. Ease of use and have the true web user experience.What there not talking about is what we should be focusing on.
