During 2 days 5-7.08.1944 german soldiers killed 50 000 polish civilians in Warsaw's district Wola.Generally during polish Warsaw's Uprising they killed 200 000 polish people .They made near 3 000 massive executions in Poland :in Piaśnica Forest-13 000 Poles they killed, in Palmiry Forest-6000, in Lublin castle- 2000.. They did genocide for Hitler.They exiled 1,6 millions polish people from their houses and deported 2,5 millions Poles to slave's work in Germany, burnt near 8000 polish villages
The did not all die in the Soviet Union. The death rate for German soldiers was 21%. On the other side the death rate for Soviet POW in Nazi captivity was 65%. Soviets were using captured Germans for work, Germans were simply exterminating captured Soviets.

My grandmother's family were all origially from Berlin, German-Americans, and her two brothers almost died in that war.
