@stylizhmathias Gyro and twist are the same thing ; people simply say twist because not everyone knows what a gyro is . A gyro is where a 360 degree twist is performed after some portion of the trick & brings the performer into the landing.

@bbsfactor7x7 I agree with you, halfway. I'd say, as I pointed out once, that a gyrotwist is when your body is vertical when spinning. A dlegtwist can be twisted halfway the "flip".

Actually that first twist you see (going into the dleg) is only an illusion. It's caused when he does it from a round off. He is spinning, but it isn't any extra twist, he's just torquing into position for a normal dleg.

Watch the slowmo clip, and pause it right as he jumps, then mid rotation.

It's a sorta torquing 180, he's jumping to our right, but he's gotta roll over in the direction of his motion. Note the upper body rotation.

There are loads of things like this in tricking. Like the 540's really a 360 most of the time, and the corkscrew thing...

Look at his position, it's 180° from a normal punch takeoff.

That rotation is going directly into the move. It's not extra, and it's not any more than 180°.

180° to get into position, then the dleg twist from there.

This is actually a Cartwheel DoubleLeg Twist. I have no idea what's a sidefull, but this is deffinetly not a gyro: for it to be a gyro you must be vertical or inclined a bit, and Anis is crazy inverted here while twisting. But indeed this is sick!
