The funny thing is, stupid 17 year old kids get on here and mistake what is known as "musical textures" for a legit song. So for the uneducated novice music lovers, THIS IS NOT A SONG, OR MUSIC IT IS CALLED MUSICAL TEXTURING.

Like in films, in a horror film for instance; when something scary is about to happen, those tense 20-30 seconds of ominous sound is not a song; it's called a "texture". Zorn has created Jazz textures, flavored with punk, grindcore and blues and of course countless other styles. It's still avant garde, but it's consider sound texturing.

So, they are playing a ¨song¨ but, sometimes the whole band stops for about ¨20-30 seconds¨ (like in horror films) and they ¨texture¨ with sound (not music) -i guess that's why they call it ¨musical texturing¨-. Did i get the concept? Is that IT?

Pretty much. Because by definitive standards, a song is something with a verse, chorus and maybe interlude. A texture is a quick zap of sounds or a brief set of tones. However, there are exceptions. Most grindcore songs are under 60 seconds long. In fact, Napalm Death has a song called "you suffer" that is 4 seconds long. Zorns stuff texturing because in those 30-60 seconds he is covering numerous grounds, jazz, blues, metal, grind, etc...If it were 30seconds of jazz, it wouldn't be textures.
