  • Does someone could tell me how the background of this scene music is called and who sings? grateful

  • It is pretty astounding how high quality the Diacon 4 animation is. It really raised the bar and set some standards for the years to come... and not just the 'Gainax bounce' ;)

  • geniale!

  • Seriously, what's with Gainax and ELO? Guess someone was a fan.

  • Agreed,Gainax is stellar.I love the animatic comparison.Hand drawn is still king,IMO.

  • its not as rare as you'd think... it was released on Betamax back in the day... then laserdisc...and VHS copies have been in circulation for about 20 years.

  • Yes I know. I have the whole thing on vhs for about 20 years myself. I still watch it to this day,

  • thanks for the help :3

  • OMG XD HOW'D YOU GET THIS~!

  • Oh, my, fucking, god. This video must be rare as HELL.

  • Animation is hard work!

  • Of course! Too bad not many people aren't going for this discipline. They all want quick and easy way.

  • Yeah, they rather cop out with 3d. Putting pencil to paper is the only way to go.

  • traditional/cel animation AND CGI are both hard work...

  • 3D is a cheat.

  • oh really? so I guess you worked with both mediums before, did you? "cheating" the audience and creating illusions is part of the animation business, regardless of what type of medium you use. during my time at the filmschool I've worked with traditional animation, CGI and (motion controlled)Model FX so I think I know what I'm talking about.

  • @the60sKid Not when it's done right. Sadly it usually isn't.

  • Wow - a brief glimpse at the making of Daicon IV!

  • Good music. Anyone knows what it is? :)

  • This music is "Hold On Tight" by Electric Light Orchestra.

  • In addition, this song is on the same album as "Twilight" was on the Daicon IV video, "Time."

  • surprised that no one used sincerly 2095 though as a theme song

  • That would be a good song for an anime AMV with Kos-Mos from Xenosaga as the "IBM" in that song.
