I think that this is one of the GREATEST songs (outside shhhhhh....that of Jesus or Jehovah). It isn't surprising to me that a new talent came forth by the name of Sharon Stone (Senior). Bonnie Hunt said the same thing (off stage)..."my heart has turned to stone!" Must have been the 80's. @screenwitch I think they were trying to portray that the world around us and all the turmoil and world events and tragedy and poverty, sometimes cause us to lose our heart or our faith but we must persevere and WISH we had compassion and energy for all the demands on us. CHER made this during a time in her life when she was making 3 or 4 movies AND Touring AND recording albums. She was overwhelmed and the racing of the World News in the background seems to capture this well.
