He had the look and athletic ability...If he was friends w/ the late Art Barr something in his urine may have kept him from going farther. Thats purely speculative though...I liked him and was shocked he left WCW so fast and that the WWF/E didnt sign him as well.
The only thing that he is really known for is his WCW stint as DDP's bodyguard, Maxx Muscle and Maxx in the Dungeon of Doom. At least he made some money during that run. It's a shame, he should have been a Superstar.
WCW could have so much more with Jeff Warner. His JW Storm run was great until his lost to Brad Armstong, and he disappeared. I know that Ole Anderson was using cheap and green talent when he was running WCW in 1990. He might have been on a per night basis. In early 1992, I know what he had some tryouts with WWF/E. I can't believe that they didn't sign him.
it's really funny that they described him as one of the most arrogant people they've ever met because I've met him several times and he is certainly one of the nicest guys I have ever met. His sermons are very powerful and he really is an awesome guy.
He is now preaching.. he wen't to tenstrike church. When they passed the collection plate he said something on the lines of "Dont worry I am not stealing your money, If i wanted it i would beat you up for it.."
Talked about how non christians deserve to go to hell..
