I played this so long ago. The graphics were so amazing in my mind. Then I watched this and... They're still surprisingly great. It's like a first person Katamari adventure game. Just all sorts of shit going on and really easy to control.

You know what royally pisses me off? That fact that this wonderfully innocent, funny, flamboyant, vibrant, colorful, and energetic series has basically nothing....NOTHING... to show for itself since 1997. And yet both Nintendo AND Sega churn out a new fucking Mario or Sonic game practically every few months.

I had played this game one night at a hotel while on vacation

Actually, there were fully 3D platform games before even this one. There was Geograph Seal, the direct precursor to this game (it was even by the same company), on the X68000 computer in early 1994, and before that, Alpha Waves/Continuum on the Atari ST, Amiga, and PC.

OMG i had this game on ps1 lol...man seeing this makes me wish i had all my ps1 games again...and vaundawg i love this game because it was super fun and challenging later in the game. the worlds were pretty massive for its time and you had to find all teh mu-mu things be4 time ran out..

It is everything good and pure about hop-and-bop and run-and-gun 2D platformers in first person 3D form. Think Mario 3 meets Contra or something. The bizarre character of the proceedings didn't hurt either.
