  • An actual STARGATE/PORTAL-THING was caught on film in New Mexico. The footage can be found within the short-film entitled "SUDDEN PORTHOLE", which is parked at the PROJECT CAMELOT YouTube page (it's under the George Noory video).

I'm not selling anything…I'm just trying to spread the word about the unseen-dimensions we find ourselves embedded in.

My BLOG contains peripheral data regarding the movie and is where I reply to the "debunkers" (use search words "SAM ZURICK" & "BLOG"). THANKS!!

  • Wow, I came here to be shocked, but I really just learned a valuable lesson from this man! My thumb up to Werner Herzog!

  • WHY?

  • na geht so ab mehrere hundert am tag und es is einfach

  • sdaskddfD FFF

  • Werner Herzog definitely knows a lot about media and the way it effects us, his comedy is funny, but is over my head, and for some reason it seams like he has no emotions while speaking -Hunter W.- -6th period-

  • Hey, everyone. Thanks for checking in to Werner. I'm glad you saw something valuable in what he had to say. Peace out.

  • Hey Ms. L it's Nick F. from 6th Period. It was difficult to pay attention to what he was saying due to my concentration on him eating a shoe as if was a daily meal but anyway he sounded like he really knew what he was talking about and i agree with him based on his opinions about media changing the way people view things and how images can give us a false sense of what we live in.

  • Hey, Ms. L. It's Thuy from 8th period.

That shoe looks like jerky. I wonder if he had trouble digesting it.

Anyways, isn't he, like, ancient? I thought global warming was pretty recent.

    I want his mustache.

    (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ

  • First off, I dont like his mustache. >.> But most importantly, I agree on his perspective of the media as a plague that destroys communities. He says that in the long-term the media can arouse revotlutions and change, but it usually makes directors look like clowns for giving illusionist work. I thnk he's right. Due to false images presented by these directors, we're unable to see the truth about the world around us. His goals are to reflect accurate images, its about someone did. ~ Nathaly ^-^

  • Ms. L it's Joanna from 8th period I think it was interesting how he ate it in front of an audience and he ate it in a calm way, the way he would eat regular food

  • hey ms. L its Noribeth from 6th period .... i love his sence of humor and the way he thinks ... one thing he says that i like alot is when he says that if u want to make a movie steal money or a cammera. do whatever it takes basicly to do what u love.

  • Ah, a man who doesn't back down on his promises and says what he actually means. What an interesting character!

    - Kim from 7th

  • Mrs.L this is Silvia from your 7th prd ; I still find it shocking to see him eat his shoe ?! Haha it's weird and unusual but he is one interesting man that keeps his word . Haha

  • Ms. L It's Vee ... its pretty cool that he actually ate his shoe and keep his word, that's admirable. and what does he mean by adequate images?

  • Ms. L. its Brittany from 7th period... he is crazy for actually eating it

  • Ms.L its Justin (who thinks a lot of things are Frowned Upon)

  • Ms.L its Sam from 7th period he is crazy but its kind of cool (it looks like he enjoyed it)

  • Ms.L its Chris from per.7 he is nuts... yet he reminds me of you so much with his opinions on film.

  • Ms.L its lindsey!... that is so crazy and um disgusting! lol watching him eat it was funny

  • @ichscheer16 this Lindsey chick sounds like a total bad ass and i would love to meet here!

  • @22cchrs0007 lmaooo your to funny :)

  • Wow truly remarkable. xD Its Jessica Ms.L..........

  • Ha! What a fucking badass!

  • hïhi_ìch_wëîss_dàss_påsst_ñícht_hìêr_reìñ_ãbër_îch_bîñ_sô_éïnsãm

  • Will somebody PLEASE upload a clip of Hezog's appearance on The Simpsons?!

  • Herzog is a genius.

  • A very good director for me at least. Watch the kinski films, brilliant.

  • "[...]That's the way to do it. If you want to do a film; steal the camera." Hell YES! The man knows what he's talking about, he actually did that.

  • that new grammar of images is only respected and in fact only exists to a minority, which is a real shame.

  • His german accent sounds great=)

  • How dare he force his morality on us. He's obviously a fanatical reactionary Crusader declaring Holy War on the progress we've made in television. Off to the Gulag!

  • He has the best voice. Christopher Walken close behind.

  • But... isn't it toxic?

All the coloring and the chemicals for curing the leather...

  • I believe, individuals such as Herzog sow the seeds of cultural, individual, and social revolutions that begin intellectual movements. We can ill afford to fall deaf to to wisdom such as this.

  • Herzog is one bad mamma jamma.

  • There needs to be a YTP of ADEQUATE IMAGES.

  • @Rhademanthus hahaha what an awful thing to say

    get em!

  • What a nut! I love him! Not in a gay way...not that's theirs any thing wrong with that.

  • LOL Werner Herzog is so funny. Not to forget humble and intelligent.

  • Adequate images.

  • he looks like Ben Lee

  • I want to know: who is Ms, Loughlin

  • 3:00 "dont ask questions bigger than you are" Fuck off........

  • ms.loughlin, this is barry, i'm not in your class, i'm a 30 year old man - i think it's so rad that you're getting students into Herzog. Bill Clinton and Sallie Mae gave me a bunch of money to go to a fancy film school, and all they showed me was Blade Runner and Hitchcock and anything else you can trip over inside a Blockbuster. I have young cousins who might be your students' age, and they may never see Herzog! You're my Guitar Hero, Ms Loughlin! I LOVE YOU! ECSTATIC TRUTH!

  • I love it when he says:

"it makes me into a clown!"

  • hey ms.loughlin its sedric franklin from 7th period. Its interesting that he can keep such a crazy promise.

  • Ms. Loughlin is luis munoz from 3rd

  • Hey Ms Loughlin its Yutong Wu from your 7th period class. this is a funny way to make a point. his accent is great. over all a funny flim

  • hey ms.L its aaron from 3rd period werner herzog is crazy for eatin a shoe lol

  • hi ms. loughlin it's Elayne from your 7th pd he's a crazy man i understand your love for him i truely respect the guy, seriously who eats a shoe!!!!

  • Hello Mrs.Loughlin it's Kyara from 7th. I watched your video and the one where he gets shot . Is this the guy you wanted to marry or was it that other flim maker ? lol I think he's uber weird but with has a cool accent. Looks just like my uncle who lives in venezuela .. lol i think i wrote enough thanks for requesting the video

  • I think we should see some videos of this Mrs. Loughlin! Come on, all her pupils and get this going as a class project! My curiosity has really being piqued about this lady-she sounds like a truly inspirational teacher! Anyone who's turning her charges onto Werner Herzog deserves some sort of recognition!

  • Hey Ms. LOughlin, this is Haylee Hood from your 7th period class. I loved this clip and it was very interesting. I wonder what the shoe tasted like. Werner really kept his word.

  • Hi, everyone! Enjoy the clip! Keep watching the good stuff!

    Ms. L.

  • hey Ms L its Quentin frm 1st pierod....this dude is jacked up

  • Hey Ms. Loughlin Its Justyne Peery in your3rd Period. Good choice for a clip on youtube :)

  • hey mrs. L its me Sophia in your first pd. awesome job Werner... haha.

  • hey nancybl this is one of your students pete bertolotti i have you 7th period. i watched the video and it is cool i guess but it is stupid to eat a shoe. so do i get my extra credit? lmao

  • I suggested this film to my students today. Have any of you stopped by?

  • hey im jonathan king in your seventh period. i just have one question, how did it taste???? i hope i get extra credit for this?

  • Man eats shoe. Film at 11.

  • Herzog is brilliant and completely hilarious.

  • I guess when all else fails we should follow in the foot steps of Herzog & Chaplin & eat our shoes!

  • Werner Herzog did steal a 35 mm camera from a college in Germany. I don't even think he was a student there. He contended that he had a "natural right" to take the camera. He used it to make Aguirre.

  • seems like a pretty funny guy and a good sport to me.

  • Fucking Awesome

  • How can you say he has no sense of humour? He makes several jokes! "I have eaten at KFC several so this shouldn't be a problem for me".

People who are non-native speakers often have a monotone sound to their voice because they have to think about what they are saying.

  • I think it's more funny for Herzog to be monotone and pretending to be serious all the time. It's more cynical. Otherwise it would be more like a cheap act.

  • Do you know the background to this story? It was a fundraiser for a friend's film. And are you so sure he is "oblivious"? Or could he just have a dry delivery? In fact, I've seen/heard him joke and laugh in several interviews.

And come on, do you know him well enough (is he a colleague, a personal friend?) to speculate whether he has Asperger's?

And even if he did, so what? Would that de-legitimize the points made in this short?

  • Comment removed

  • Where are you Mount everest? give me some everest.

  • No sense of humor? He's eating his shoe!

  • Yummy!

Now I have to get a midnight snack. Thanks a lot Werner.

  • winners don't shiver

  • "dont ask questions bigger than you are" hahaha

  • such a brilliant line! who in the clip said that?

  • 2:46 some reporter asks a stupid question...and someone in the crowd says it under his breath...but it gets picked up in the recording....hahaha

  • I love you Herzog. You make my German classes feel worthwhile.

  • I'm a great follower of Herzog (right now I'm writing a paper on his treatment of morality), but I find it strange how he denounces talkshows, but appeared on Conan O'Brien recently.

  • Word. I agree on that. a hypocrite he is. But then again I really like Herzog. Hes a likeable guy (have u seen when he gets shot) and he's completely cool with that? lol. He talks too much about politics but then again Germans are very intellectual ppl.

  • I'm with Herzog, kill the tv!

  • KFC? I thought Herzog had a phobia of chickens, something he alludes to in his films.

  • he is afraid of chickens , but maybe its ok to eat them. at kfc they are already defeated ore something like that

  • I've been a fan of Herzog sense seeing Aguirre, Wrath of God in film school. It blew me away. Ya it's great to see him getting more attention as a great artist in his later yrs, but he doesn't need or want the pop cultural media's love and affection. McCain a maverick? I think not. Werner? Now there's a true maverick! Everyone knows Obama most likely is familiar with Herzog, or at least has heard of him. McCain doesn;t have a clue or a care who Herzog is. Vote for art funding! Vote Obama!!!!!!!

  • it's pretty awesome how many people have learned about herzog from conan. when i saw the show, i got the impression that everyone was completely alienated by him...

  • I was glad to see Wener Herzog on Conan because, as I see from the comments, it made at least a little more people aware of him. I first learned of Herzog when I was in 8th grade (that was not too long ago i might add, no joke) when I first saw My Best Fiend. However anytime I tried to introduce him to one of my friends or just someone I knew they either thought I was crazy, boring, or just didn't listen to me.

I'm glad Conan was able to do it but then again Conan is awesome. :)

  • Herzog RULES

  • Orson Welles and...who?

  • François Truffaut... He's was French director.

  • Francois Truffaut.

  • I'm with Herzog, burn the tv!

  • Yeah..heard about Werner on Conan...and he is amazing...I'm a new fan..this guy is strangley awesome.

  • Coney!

  • conan told me to watch this crazy guy eat his shoe :)

  • Yeah, I just watched that conan episode and thats why i came here to see this.

  • Thanks for sharing this clip. I've known this for years but now that Conan mentioned it I felt like watching it. Herzog is one of the best.

  • conan fans! i see werner in conan. i am sory my bad english because i am finnish people.

  • Im finnish too.

All finnish people dont talk english like that.

  • woah i'm finnish 2 omg. Though my dad is Nigerian. :P

  • I was seeking this video because I saw him on Conan. Amazing guy with amazing sense of humor.

  • i saw him on conan

  • He did a hilarious search for the Loch Ness Monster documentary that I am sure was fake.

  • Yay! Conan fans!

  • talk about taking the bull by the horns and eating its shoes...literally lol

  • Interestingly deep fellow.

  • The minute conan was done I rushed to see this, he seems like a very interesting individual. Very original

  • Lol...same here

  • I did the same.

  • Yeah. Conan said that this clip is in internet, straight to computer -> youtube -> Werner Herzog eats his shoe!

  • conan needed more time with this guy

    +

  • This guy was on Conan last night. Incredibly dry sense of humor, amazing character.

  • odd...

  • True man of his word.

  • yep the guy knows.....pictures speak more than words....and when those words are from the divine source illusions are shattered....sometimes dramatically....but sometimes they just dissolve in that knowing.

  • "If you want to make a film do it"...."fight against the TV and talkshows..."

Allways in sad times we need clowns !!!!

  • Beautiful.

  • Errol Morris is a Master, Herzog too.

  • i love his german accent

  • he's great and with loads of guts!!!

  • His voice and speech reminds me a lot of John Malkovich.

  • OMG you're right

  • A maverick genius, a true eccentric of which there is less of these days.

  • hes a geek and i love him

  • Ok, in the crowd shot at 1:48, the guy kneeling on the floor in the lower left with the beard looks ALOT like a young Martin Scorsese; this was shot at UC Berkeley in 1980, which is when Scorsese would have been working on Raging Bull. Some of the filming was done in San Pedro, CA, so it's not impossible...

  • san pedro is in southern california

  • the bearded kneeler actually is a writer named David Breskin. there is a book of his interviews with film-makers called Innerviews, which you might be able to get on Amazon.

  • please, post Herzog's SPIEL IM SAND (alias GAME IN THE SAND alias GIOCO SULLA SABBIA)!

  • Werner is so correct about talk shows. He said this back in 1980, and it's prophetic.

  • if here were some regular guy preaching the same things, no one would give a shit. U have to be famous to get taken seriously? hehe

  • if he could call me late at night and tell me bedtime stories I be the happiest gal in the world. I love his voice.

  • Amazing. He's so eloquent and so true...

  • I didn't want to post the whole short, as that would completely be trampling on LB's rights. I wanted people to be able to see Herzog's really wonderful monologues in the pic. I urge you, as someone noted above, to get the whole movie from LB's site.

  • Can you post the whole thing?

  • all in all its a 20-minutes documentary. Its on the german-dvd-version of "Herz aus Glas".On this DVD you'll find also the documentary "Gasherbrum-Der leuchtende Berg" bout Messner and Kammerlander (44 min).I'll see what I can do...

  • You'll find it on the DVD "Herz aus Glas".

  • What? It's not on my "Herz Aus Glas" DVD. As far as I know you can only find it on the "Burden Of Dreams" DVD. Or you can buy it individually from Les Blank's webpage

  • It's on Burden of Dreams, not Heart of Glass (aka Herz aus Glas)....

  • I'm sorry, but again, it's on "Heart of Glass" (German DVD-Version)!!

  • Oops. Missed that post, so sorry....

  • this is the greatest film ever made.

  • Been looking for this for about ten years...Thank you!

  • thanks!
