It is as if it where almost meant to suggest that they are not representative of the standard of beauty but rather an exotic caricature of the standard. She wrote it for the fellow she was doing a country show with I think in the early 50's. Anyway when she left the show he was madder than hell at her but she didn't want to stay so she wrote that song for him. She really does sing her own words the best!
