  • 15 personas no pudieron caminar los 12 pasos

  • this is the best bit of the film when he do's the speech it makes my hair go up all the time i see this

  • If you buy the DVD you see the real Carl Brashear who helped in the making of the movie and the guy is tiny - which makes this 12 steps to honor even more incredible. A fantastic tribute to un-sung heros of true courage - the only comparison that comes to mind is the film "Reach for the Sky" about WW2 fighter pilot Douglas Bader.

  • Goosebumps everytime

  • this was the best 3 minutes in movie making

  • one of my top 5 movies ever

  • CUBA DESERVED AN OSCAR FOR THIS ONE!!!

  • @CEELOW3000 I went to elementary school with Cuba AND I was a Naval Deckseaman/Boatswainsmate aboard the USS Arkanasas CGN - 41 decommissioned ( ISS Carl Vinson Aircraft Carrier Battle Group ). This film brought tears to my eyes.

  • I would like to get the opinion from someone who disliked the video. what's behind all the dislikes?

  • 14 people didn't get their 12

  • Love all the year markings on deniros sleeve shows how many years of duty served for every 4 years but all in RED due to times of misconduct through out the years served, only Gold is granted to wear when a sailor has great conduct for service The red shows character..

  • 12 Steps to EPIC!

  • I remember watching this part and started crying,

  • He would be carrying around 1100 pounds, which is 11kg.

  • @hehehehehea Uh..........no.

  • 290 lbs on one leg that's pretty cool.

  • Goddamn it cookie! Move your ass I want my 12!!!!!

  • One of the most powerful scenes in cinema history.

  • GOD DAMN IT COOKIE! MOVE YOUR ASS, I WANT MY TWELVE!

  • By"Gust" my ass! U didn't write this movie! U cut and paste Hahaha! A lil too much credit to urself don't ya think

  • I cried

  • @dorktube888 Heartbreaker scene

  • Master Diver (BM) Carl Brashear = CHARACTER. Thank you for your service..

  • This was the DVD version. They cut a lot of the details. In the actual movie in the theatre version. The scene included blood droplets on the floor. The DVD version was a total rip off compared the theatre version.

  • I love this scene

  • how much is he carrying

  • @stormMS64 The weight of an unfair World. He did it successfully... and it was very very heavy.

  • I never cry on movies. This scene made me cry.

  • HAHAHA LOL God dammit cookie move your ass i want my twelve!

  • @GAMERMAX88 why is it funny to you?

  • @AnObviousFailure The way he said it and choice of words. But this is an inspiring scene!

  • Cuba Gooding Jr. and Robert De Niro= An amazing movie

  • GOD DAMMIT COOKIE I WANT MY 12

  • @FEARBEARD38 MOVE YOUR ASS, I WANT MY 12!

  • I love the way Robert Deniro takes him back to the fear of a senior instructor. He made him feel like he was just a mere trainee and that you did what the instructor said even if it meant being told "beat everyone on this teams ass with one hand tied behind your back" No matter what the trainee was told the trainee did it.

  • It was my first time crying watching a movie!

  • AT EASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • "HELL I DUNNO WHY ANYBODY'D WANNA BE A NAVY DIVER! NOW YOU REPORT TO THIS LINE, COOKIE!

  • Robert De Niro is fucking brilliant! great moment of inspiration for "Cookie"

  • Only Robert De Niro could play such a role !

  • That captian with glasses is one annyoing fuck

  • You just can't beat a film like this fucking amazing love it

  • This has to be the best scene of a man's will power against all odds

  • I watch this part whenever I feel depressed and feel that nothing is going my way !

  • "if he's lucky, He will Die Young 200 ft Beneath the waves, For that is the closest he will ever get to being a hero!"

  • T_T Just amazing......

  • Being in the Navy AND becoming a successful Sailor and/or Salvage Diver takes a special kind of character that alot of people (especially in the Marines for some reason) do not respect. They look at the navy and say "ah they're all a bunch of drunk fucking bums", nothing could be further from the truth. You can face 200 thousand troops and it wouldn't equate with facing mother nature above and below the surface. It's a different and more chilling kind of menace.

  • Ive Always Wanted To be in the navy As a diver but after seeing this it makes me wana be it more =D

  • this is one of those videos where you barely see the dislike bar. the navy diver is not a fighting man he is a salvage expert!

  • irony irony irony !!! dats all im sayin but good movie tho...

  • he is hard becuse he is fair you may not like him but when he did that he did what he was spose to the drill sargernts are always hard

  • 14 people hated niggers

  • @bnjmn420 oh thats soo original you fucking racist cunt. im white but still your just a douche bag grow some balls and say that to a black mans face... you wont have a face after that.

  • I got 2 health legs and not sure I can do this. Amazing man, someone we all can look up too.

  • To even have started his path, he is a warrior. To have finished it in spite of so many hardships, he is a man.

  • Really, if you can dislike this your a heartless dumbass who will go nowhere in life.

    Moral point, never give up.

  • One word...Powerful.

  • This is my favorite movie forever. It reflects what live is about. No matter how many times you go down you have to believe in yourself and have faith in God that you are going to succeed on whatever you decide to accomplish in live.

  • 14 people could only do 0 steps.

  • Living proof that miracles are possible!

  • inspirational movie!!

  • I luv Cuba Gooding J.r. He rocks. This movie defines what a Balck Man can do. he's not just black man he's an equal.

  • I can't believe how Robert De Niro did not win an Oscar with this character. SIMPLY AWESOME!!

  • Cuba is such a great actor...for real. There's only 2 movies that made me cry, that was this movie and Blood Diamond. Cuba deserves another Oscar. The way he played his whole role in this movie was just so....I don't even got words for it. Same goes for Robert De Niro. Both of them will go down in history as one of the BEST.

  • robert de niro did an exceptional job in this film! both actors did. this scene was awesome!

  • A great film with 2 great actors! 10 out of 10 would be the best way to describe this film!

  • the underwater scene is even better...........nyways.......proud that he fought against racism and became the first black diver in the navy...

  • I can count on one hand how many movies can make me shed a tear. This scene is the strongest out of all of them....

  • what a fucking hero! And the best thing of all, its a fucking true story!! Absolute legend! They dont make them with as much heart as this guy anymore!

  • GOD DAMN IT GUYZ.....I WANT MY 120 LIKES

  • *Scene B4* Chief Sunday enters the court ~ "Son, step aside, or I will crack you right in the jaw." LOL

  • 9. a navy diver is not a fighting man,he's a salvage expert

  • @pg86 someone said this 3 months ago

  • This movie kicks big, hairy ass!

    All day and night!

In the closing credits, it shouldn't give you name or Brian McKnight, it should just say "I just kicked your ass! Now go home and think about that!"

  • i feel goosebumps when i watch this all the time

  • Cuba gooding is the only person that could make me cry in movies

  • I love this scene. It pains me to say as a former Marine, lol. This damn Navy flick is motivating.

  • Man i almost cried watching this cause back then people were so DAMN CUREL

  • @AngelLove890 It's only gotten worse.

  • 13 people didnt take their 12 steps

  • @aziqbal You are wrong. They never want and try to take.

  • Diver! You will disregard! This is my detail.

  • Although Captain Hanks was a dick, was good acting on hs behalf. I can't believe he wanted them to stop after 8 steps. He really didn't want him to pass so Sunday would retire.

  • Thank you for posting in English, not like the fucking spick shit, like fucking mexico has any heros fucking rapist and drug pushers and dirty cops and government...fuck shithole country...go fuck yourself you dirty fucking greasers

  • @7nmesa Congratulations, you managed to miss the whole point of this film.

  • @skydark you managed to miss the whole point of my comments you dumb shit...I know what the movie is about. It is a great movie based on real life. What character he had to overcome all that to achieve what he did. Truly a great honor to watch and to research his life. A true American Hero. Sorry you missed what my rant was about.

  • @7nmesa your first comment is a racist outburst directed at mexicans. The greatest barrier the character in the movie(and in real life) had to surpass was the racial one, built and secured by men like you.

  • @skydaRK I agree. 7nmesa doesn't know what hes talking about. Thumbs up

  • @skydark Well said!!!

  • @skydark hey dumb ass I am mexican/black, goes to show who the real racist is you white devil.

  • @7nmesa wow.. first you say all kinds of shit about mexico.. then you state that you are mexican?? what's your point you discriminating fuck??

  • @berloes yes my mom is mexican and my dad black/native american...I am tired of all this crap....we are Americans regardless of race/country of orgin...you all play the race care when you think it is against a white person....love to expose all that is wrong with the world; one You Tube post at a time...nice you fucks prove my point..

  • @7nmesa shouldnt you be busy robbing trains

  • @7nmesa lol... please tell me you see the irony in what you just said?

Have you noticed white people don't care when you throw racial abuse at them?

We all have ancestors that were slaves. Stop being so sensative sweetie :) Kiss kiss on your beautiful black/mexican lips :)

    Yours sincerly

    White Devil

  • @skydark whats wrong with racial barriers.

  • @duffman580 They are stupid expectations based on a characteristic which in no way defines the individual.

  • @skydark : To this generation, a lot of things are stupid--mostly those things involving strength, determination and personal integrity.

  • @duffman580 : Very good. They may be unpopular, but they're not illegal.

  • Greatest scene ever. Men of honor, a movie about overcoming inequality in the armed forces. Equality, what a beautiful thing.
