Shakespeare has had more influence on the English language than any other person. But he spoke Late Middle English, so of course no one talks like that anymore...still love your stuff, Demetri!
@jbenvenga This is my exact interpretation of Shakespeare myself I know he had a lot of genius behind his work, and I would argue that he is very influential to most modern day movies, television, and books. But I also agree with the case that it is too overrated. No one spoke that way at the time late middle English was not as poorly developed towards our way of speaking as Shakespeare expressed in his play, he in my mind just simply wrote in a way so that people in his time would need to...
@jbenvenga think a little before they completely understood, you can tell the difference between him trying to be hidden and more classy, compared to like in Macbeth where Thomas Middleton has an act written by himself which rhymes and is a lot easier to comprehend due to the simplicity of the writing compared to Shakespeare's, Shakespeare also was writing to a higher class in which he had to impress them with something unique that they haven't heard before and his dialect he used was just that
come on dude nobody talks like that lol... dont you hate it when people repeat what the other people say in the vid. I do it all the time but still.. ur either like "thank you for ruining the funny part" or "thanks for the repeat Mr. Obvious" ... ya
Hahaha! I totally agree. Shakespeare achieved a lot in his day, but I don't know. I wonder how he would do as an author with today's standards. Variating English, writing plays about witches and fairies, etc. Not to trash the guy! But he's definitely a little over-rated.
ahh dimitri, you just havent them! not in your circle atleast

come hither over
yonder narrow fall
and watch the rising
of the silver moon
thy eyes sparkle bright
and thou art a queen
tonight and henceforth
